Introduction

Several large milestones happened in quick succession and I felt it best to combine them all into a single achievement post. Rank 600, 1,000 day login, and my second Ranking Dungeon crown all take different levels of dedication. I am quite happy with my progression throughout my Puzzle and Dragons life as I am able to tackle nearly all the content GungHo has to offer. The main factor holding me back is a lack of a top tier leader as the strongest team I can form is Awoken DQXQ  and I am able to clear Arena 2; however, without a Ra Dragon , Xiang Mei , or Kaede , it will be very challenging to push through to the next threshold of content. My savior will be the eventual release of Miru  who has a +297 and all the various evolution materials ready and waiting on both accounts. In addition, I have over 350 magic stones stockpiled over the course of half a year across Mantastic and Fantastic in hopes of a Godfest Exclusive REM to help streamline my decision for my second 300,000 MP purchase.

Rank 600

Rank 600 is perhaps the new milestone of high ranking players due to the introduction of coop which allows players to easily farm rank experience. My alt account, Fantastic, has dramatically shot up in ranks due to the countless Scarlet descended, Devil Rush, Arena 1, and various other clears I have done through multiplayer with Mantastic. To give an idea of how much commitment is required to reach rank 600, I will compare it to the various high experience dungeons available.

Rank 600 = about 164,500,000 lifetime experience. This translates into either:

• 822.5 Experience of a Lifetimes
• 1,732 Mythic Plus God Rushes
• 2,675 Legend Monday Dungeons
• 2,742 Mythic Plus Zaerog Infinity

What amazes me most is how fast I went from Rank 500 to 600. I hit rank 500 just before February 11th, 2016 (based on my previous Rank 500 Post) and that required just under 88 million rank experience. Thus, the jump from 500 to 600 is nearly the same as 1-500. However, it took me over 850 days to hit rank 500 and only 150 days to go from 500 to 600.

1,000 Days Played

1,000 days played easily makes Puzzle and Dragons the longest non-computer game I have ever played and is only rivaled by my old Dota 1 and League of Legends days although PAD will probably surpass both of those soon. It is quite amazing how a simple smartphone game has captivated me for such a prolonged period of time along with how excited I am to still be playing. GungHo has done a Fantastic job of continuously releasing new content along with variations of leader skills to help keep the game fresh and exciting.

I have gone through my Sakuya  phase who had carried me for almost two years. I also went through a brief Awoken Lucifer  and then Blue Sonia  with Fantastic once coop went live. Finally, I am now using Awoken DQXQ  as she is my current strongest team along with being quite fast and relatively easy to use. However, I may be making a shift toward using Miru  as she has more potential for clearing end game content and the best part about Miru is her being farmable.

Second Crown

I managed to secure my second crown from the Satan Ranking Tournament by using Skuld  with the sea of You Yu  players and was thankfully able to achieve a top 0.3% run. Sadly, I was not able to replicate this on Fantastic and was pushed out of the top 0.8%.

I am quite happy about my shiny new hat as two is definitely better than one!

Moving forward

I pushed the last 10 ranks from 590 to 600 pretty hard by doing lots of Arena 1 and Mythic Plus Rogue Descends in coop to close the final gap. After hitting 600, I eased up on the heavy farming and began to take care of my box by pursuing Tamadras, Latent Tamadras, gathering the required materials for Miru, and finishing up various cards in my monster box. I currently have over 5 +297 holders who do not have a dedicated place for outside of Miru. In addition, I have farmed over 300,000 Monster points almost exclusively from coop and the Ranking Dungeons (which award a 10,000 MP reward) since my first purchase of Yomi Dragon .

A small part of me is almost contemplating purchasing You Yu  to make Ranking Dungeons that much easier. He would probably allow me to achieve significantly higher rankings and perhaps many more crowns to come. I have always floated around the 2-4% in every Ranking Tournament and a part of me knows that I could have many more crowns if I had simply owned a Shiva Dragon . However, I missed You Yu’s rotation and I already own Sarasvati  on both accounts and is comparable for end game content. Despite all of that, I will still continue to hoard my Monster Points to see what kind of development my box has if GungHo North America releases the 10-magic stone GFE REM. In addition, who knows what will be released with the next batch of MP cards. I will simply continue to be patient and bide my time.

Conclusion

Puzzle and Dragons is a Fantastic game that has kept me entertained for over 1,000 days. I have spent countless hours puzzling those dragons and I am curious as to the lifetime distance I have swiped and matched orbs. I hope GungHo continues to develop and invest into PAD as it is by far my favourite game to play.
