  1. Wishing you the best recovery. I wonder if I’m the oldest PAD player – 59. I’m not great but love the game and go to your very detailed posts. Sincerely hope you get well soon – no need to reply xxx

  3. I understand what you are going through as I underwent major eye surgery when I was 19 (retinal detachment on my left eye). You probably went to same eye care centre as I did on broadway and willow, I bet. Anyways, the first few weeks of recovery will be the most crucial as that’s when the eye’s the most fragile. I know what it’s like to always feel a pain sensation in the eye and having to take drops like every 2-3 hours. The last thing you want is to strain the eye and cause the eye pressure to go up.

I just hope you have smooth recovery.

    1. Yeah I was at the same place! It’s such a big complex!

I guess thankfully for me my surgery didnt go fully through so my recovery will be much faster. I am regaining most of my vision, just blurriness and sensitivity to light atm. I feel in a few days I should be more “norma”

Thanks again for your kind words!

  5. I had surgery for appendicitis two or three years ago and I must agree hahaha, anesthesia is like the best sleep I’ve ever had but after waking up and being more alert…everything hurt so bad! It only took me 10 minutes before I was holding a coherent (if simple) conversation but half an hour after I woke up, I have a memory blank of about an hour! I got really mad at my now-fiance for never visiting me when turns out he called me during that hour to apologize for bring out of state (he was at a tournament of some sort).

Then I had my wisdom teeth out recently and gosh my mouth was so painful right afterwards. But I slept so good. My first question when I woke up was “when are you going to do the surgery…?”

I’m so glad to hear things are doing well thus far. I hope and pray for a swift recovery and an eye that’s cancer free!

    1. Thank you foxwaffles for your kind words and continued support ❤

General anesthesia is most certainly a unique experience. I believe I was coherent after waking up, but I had no one to tell me otherwise XD

Hopefully things turn out better in 6 weeks =D

  7. So glad to hear that everything went well. You’re rockin’ those shades.

I didn’t get a chance to reply to your last post, so I wanted to say here – thank you for everything you do for the PAD community. I am very sorry to hear about all the trials that you’ve been handed. I’m glad that the eye surgery went well and I hope that you are able to find some relief from your chronic pain.

  8. Hope you make a quick recovery. I’ve really enjoyed following the blog since discovering it last year and also your streams (first thing I’ve ever watched on Twitch). Definitely made me better at PAD. I hope my tiny contribution helps you get back to 100% swiftly.
