220k Official Facebook Likes Godfest: Indian 1, Three Kingdoms, Japanese 1, & Norse Review and Analysis

Godfest basics

When making the decision to roll or save your magic stones, you need to determine if the featured pantheons can benefit or compliment your teams. Chasing for one specific monster is unwise as you will most likely be disappointed and should ideally have Godfests that overlap with many target cards. Remember all monsters that come out of the REM will qualify for Skill Inheritance so do not be too hasty when selling dupes. For a more detailed team building help, please refer to my full list Popular Leader’s and their Full Sub List Post. Lastly, to find more information about a specific pantheon or monster, refer to my Master List to better refine your search. If you are considering to purchase a Four Gentlemen card, please read my Review and Comparison HERE.

Introduction

220k Facebook Likes may be a strange milestone to be celebrating, but at least it is a round number and is most likely to coincide with the 3-year anniversary for EU. Regardless, GungHo is featuring four different Pantheons along with certain GFE at a 4x rate. Unfortunately, neither day is truly outstanding as many of the cards are starting to fall behind due to Powercreep.

Day 1:

The Indian 1 Pantheon finally has all their Awoken evolutions; however, many of them are starting to fall out of the meta due to the speed of powercreep. Furthermore, Shiva Shiva, Lakshmi Awoken Lakshimi, and Parvati Awoken Parv only come into their full power with their awoken forms and will be quite weak beforehand. However, Japan has just announced new Reincarnated evolutions for those three and it may help give them an extra boost in power to help make them relevant again. The main drawback of the Indian 1 is the delay between their uses on pull and acquiring their awoken evolution.

The Three Kingdoms have become one of the most desirable pantheons to own as each card brings a phenomenal amount of power and utility to their respective teams. Whether as leaders or superstar subs, you will want to own at least a few of these mighty warriors and are even respectable before their awoken evolutions so you will have value early on. The current prize to be had is Awoken Liu Bei A Liu Bei as he trivializes countless content in Coop and many players will be tempted to roll just for him.

Overall, Day 1 is the stronger of the two line ups in terms of pantheons featured.

Awoken Shiva is one of the hottest leads in Puzzle and Dragons as he forms a powerful 27.56x ATK / 2.25x RCV team that is two prong  TPA reliant (in a future update, currently 20.25x). Furthermore, his sub pool has no type restrictions other than they must have the fire attribute. This allows for great flexibility with team building along with compensating for fire’s normally low RCV. I enjoy Awoken Shiva’s playstyle as he combines speed and power and can clear high level content due to amazing burst potential. If you wish to read about how to properly construct a Shiva team, please refer to my Team Building Guide.

Unfortunately, Awoken Shiva does falter in the highest level content as his active is relatively weak and his damage output is heavily gated by active usage and may run out of steam mid dungeon. However, do not let this discourage you as he is capable of clearing Challenge 9s and some 10s with the right team and investment. You will also be able to find a huge number of friends due to his popularity.

Lastly, his sub potential is quite low as there are better options for a fire orb enhancer.

Awoken Lakshmi is an often overlooked water powerhouse as she forms an incredible 56.25x ATK / 2.25x RCV team that is focuses around water rows Water Row . For comparison sake, most other row leaders range from 10.25-25x ATK. Granted you have to match 6 connected heart orbs to do so (in any shape), but the augmented recovery and built in bind recovery Bind Clear awakening from the your leaders help alleviate team building stress. Your subs ideally need to generate both heart and water orbs and some noteworthy ones include, but are not limited to, Andromeda Bankai Andro, Ryune Ryune, Sumire Sumire, and Gabriel Gabriel.

With a built in heal and heart orb generating active, you can stall for actives with ease and the naturally high base HP on water type monsters allows you to survive attacks that most other non-HP multiplied teams could not. Furthermore, you are able to control your damage output by choosing how many heart orbs to match. This is becoming more vital with the advent of bosses with specific damage absorption shields. Lastly, her awakenings are all over the place and perhaps when her design phase they gave up and just gave her a little of everything.

Lakshmi’s main drawbacks are a difficulty finding friends along with almost no sub potential herself.

Awoken Parvati is another 56.25x ATK / 2.25x RCV leader who is also reliant on heart orb matching for damage. She is essentially the wood version of Lakshmi Awoken Lakshimi , but focuses on Two Prong Attacks TPA to deal lethal damage. This is fantastic as most of the strongest wood subs are TPA oriented and many have 3 of those awakenings. Furthermore, the bind immunity eases team building as you may not need to bring a bind clearing sub. Unfortunately, she lacks a recover bind Bind Clear awakening awakening to help the rest of her team. In addition, with her scaling multiplier, you can control your damage and also elect to not trigger two prong attacks to handle floors with specific damage absorptions.

There is not too much else to say for Parvati as she is a powerful lead who is capable of clearing Arena 1. Her main drawback is her lack of popularity as her leader skill requires some thinking to proc and many people are opting for more mindless/higher output leads.

On the bright side, her two tigers are both cute and majestic.

Awoken Indra has some of the most formidible artwork around and now covers the elusive wood attribute on rainbow teams. In addition, his dual TPA are favourable along with his two SBR and time extends. As such, Indra brings a great deal of defensive utility along with a powerful damage reduction shield. In his awoken form, he loses a turn of shielding for a single turn of haste along with a -2 turn cooldown. Some players find this discouraging as the old active helped ensure you survived dangerous mechanics without fear of death.

Indra lost his God typing in his awoken form and makes him less desirable for Ra Dragon Ra Dragon teams as he will no longer benefit from the full multiplier. As such, you could use his God typing form Indra for full multiplier and SBR coverage. However, Awoken Indra is a dream sub on Sherias Roots Sherias Roots teams due to the dragon typing and wood coverage.

Overall, Indra is a powerful card to roll for more endgame oriented players.

Awoken Vritra is finally here and saves this impressive dragon with some of the most amazing artwork to date. Furthermore, GungHo has dramatically improved his functionality and enables him to become a 2x HP / 6x ATK lead for dragons and devils when matching dark and fire. This can be beautifully paired with Awoken Lucifer Awoken Archdemon Lucifer, Pandora Awoken Pandora, or even Loki Awoken Loki to form a more durable tank team.

However, Vritra will begin to find uses as a sub due to his incredible awakenings. You are able to upgrade his active via Skill Inheritance to avoid the self damage nuke on mono-dark teams.

In addition to his prowess on mono-dark teams, Vritra can also be found on push button teams who wish to farm a dungeon quickly by pressing an active to sweep a floor. You must combine his active with a health reset (such as Goemon Goemon) to ensure full damage.

The HP reset is usually a bad thing, but on teams such as Dark Metatron dtron, it can be a lifesaver if you are unexpectedly healed too much.

Awoken Cao Cao is finally here and he is essentially a less powerful leader than Awoken Liu Bei for mindless farming. Cao Cao lacks a Zeus Dios Ult Zeus Dios equivalent and will struggle to achieve the same number of skill boosts or damage levels Liu Bei enjoys. However, Awoken Cao Cao is a comparable leader, if not stronger, when playing not playing a button team. This is because you have access to Scarlet Scarlet Icon who allows you to form a system when you have 4 of them max skilled. This allows for full activation due to the active skill clause and you can enjoy the 4x RCV as well.

As a sub, Cao Cao is an incredibly powerful mono fire card due to his active combining an orb change and delay along with synergistic awakenings. Cao Cao is best matched with Awoken Shiva Shiva due to the heavy reliance on TPA TPA awakenings. However, you can still use him to great success on Gadius Gadius and Raoh Raoh teams due to the single Fire Row awakening and being the only high end delay fire monsters have if you are unable to make his awoken form

One thing to keep in mind is that his other evolution R.D cao will gain Dragon Killer Dragon Killer and another Fire Row awakening which is more suitable to fire row teams (who still need a good leader) along with God typing (which mean Shiva Dragon Shiva D sub potential).

Awoken Sun Quan now is able to enhance water type monsters for 2 turns instead of healers. This is quite a dramatic shift as it opens up new opportunities to use for both usage as a sub and assistant via Skill Inheritance. As a sub, Awoken Sun Quan can be used on every mono-water team as a replacement for Awoken I&I I&I as your damage enhancement and his physical typing grants him a spot on Blue Sonia Blue Sonia teams. In addition, he is capable of covering the water/fire attributes on rainbow teams although his active will mostly be used for the 2 turns of delay.

As a leader, Awoken Sun Quan is capable of forming a 64x ATK / 4x RCV team when matching Fire and Water along with using an active skill. This could be paired with Awoken Hermes A Hermes to bolster your HP, but the awkwardness and low output will probably have him used mostly as a sub.

In his other evolution forms, Sun Quan is a powerful and highly desired sub as he can cover the awkward water and wood elements on rainbow teams along with providing 2 turns of delay. The 2x damage for healers is simply icing on the cake, but may benefit numerous cards. With the advent of awakenings buff, his other evolution Sun Quan B.L has relevance due to possessing a skill lock resist Skill Lock Resist and dragon killer Dragon Killer awakenings along with regaining the god typing. This is important for Neptune Dragon Neptune Dragon , Awoken Ra Ra , and Ra Dragon Ra Dragon teams as the added god typing allows you to benefit from their full leader skill.

Sun Quan is also an excellent candidate for Skill Inheritance as the delay can prove invaluable.

Liu Bei was once regarded as a superstar wood sub when Awoken Bastet Bastet reigned supreme. However, his star has fallen quite far from grace and  is in an awkward position due to his awakenings and active synergy while we wait for his Awoken evolution. But now that Awoken Liu Bei goes live, his star will once again soar into the heavens as both a super star lead and sub.

Awoken Liu Bei seems to do it all, double orb change, 20% maximum HP heal, 2 turns of bind clear while being bind immune, and a 64x ATK lead that stacks wood rows Wood Row. Perhaps it is his leadership potential that has everyone frantically scrambling to prepare a button team for coop farming. Double Liu Beis are capable of forming a 64x ATK / 4x RCV team when matching 9+ connected wood orbs. Thankfully, the future ultimate evolution Zeus Dios Ult Zeus Dios makes your life easy by being able to convert the entire board into wood on a 15-turn cooldown. Thus, coop teams would fill their sub roster with multiple Zeus Dios and simply button their way to victory. 0 skill required. I strongly suggest you read my full review of Awoken Liu Bei HERE.

Outside of a brainless and powerful leadership role, Awoken Liu Bei can be used as a sub on mono wood teams as a bind clearing sub who also is able to generate numerous wood orbs. In addition, the 20% heal has more impact on teams that multiply health or while playing coop.

Liu Bei’s Wood/Fire evolution has an incredible 3 TPA awakenings However, Liu Bei’s active makes TPA combo arrangements challenging because of the chance of wood overflow. A double orb changer is better suited to Wood Row oriented teams, but his awakenings puts him behind when compared to Australis Australis or G/D Artemis Artemis .

Regardless, once Awoken Liu Bei goes live, most players will immediately convert him into a superstar coop leader.

Awoken DQXQ is finally reuniting the two sisters to form a rainbow/light row hybrid leader who can achieve 100x damage! This has incredible burst potential while catering to players who enjoy rainbow teams as you are still required to match 4 elements. Furthermore, you are able to control your damage as your multiplier scales from 16-100x based on the number of linked water or light orbs. This is invaluable when facing content that has specific damage absorption shields. Unfortunately, Awoken DQXQ is vulnerable to binds and also lost her bind recover Bind Clear awakening awakening so you will need to carefully plan your team roster before tackling a dungeon. Furthermore, her lack of an HP or RCV multiplier may cause you problems when stalling or recovering from a large preemptives. However, you have immense sub flexibility due to skill inheritance and should be able to address any problematic mechanic. I strongly encourage you to read my detailed analysis of her HERE as I go into greater detail for team building and strategies. She is also my new favourite lead and have been almost playing her exclusively since her debut to clear essentially all the current content available.

Branching away from her leadership potential, Awoken DQXQ or her L/L DQXQ LL evolution act as a powerhouse mono light sub due to synergistic awakenings and complimenting active. She finds an ideal home on Saria Saria / Thor Thor teams and can also act as a pseudo bind clearer through Bind Clear awakening (in her L/L form) and a row of hearts provided she herself is not bound. L/L can also be found on Awoken Ama Amate or any other healer team as a staple sub.

For beginner players, any evolution DQXQ is a fantastic starting leader who will teach you comboing skills and provide a steady 16x multiplier. You can also mix and match with other rainbow leads to augment your damage output at the cost of a harder to activate multiplier.

Overall, DQXQ is an incredibly powerful monster for beginner and veteran players. Also, two is better than one and I am thankful GungHo reunited the sisters.

Chaotic Flying General, Lu Bu has a fantastic name that will only become more spectacular with his newly created Bankai Evolution. Outside the new SBR and bind recover Bind Clear awakening awakening, Lu Bu has finally got his Dragon (and now Dragon typing) back! The bind recovery is especially valuable for your dark/devil teams as you now have a more reliable means to take care of binds. Many players were already using Lu Bu as a base for Skill Inheritance to counteract preemptive binds, but you may be able to have more flexibility due to his ability to remove binds with a horizontal heart orb match.

As a sub, Lu Bu  can be found on Awoken Lucifer Awoken Archdemon Lucifer and Awoken Pandora Awoken Pandora teams as the largest single turn nuke (ties with King Baddie King Baddie) and emergency bind clear if needed. Some may argue that a 3x nuke is excessive; however, with the pace of powercreep in end game dungeons, we may have to call upon Lu Bu’s active more in the coming months.

As a leader, Lu Bu provides 2x HP and 4.5x ATK for devil types when a skill is used (3x with no skill). This allows him to form a powerful tank team that can be paired with Pandora, Lucifer, or the future Nobunaga Nobunaga to form a 2x HP / 40.5x ATK / 1.5x RCV devil team. That’s 40.5x ATK on a dark row Dark row team. You will obliterate everything when combined with Lu Bu’s active. Move over Red Sonia Red Sonia.

Day 2

Day 2 features the aging Japanese 1 and Norse God Pantheons. Japanese 1 is one of the oldest series to date and as such, have begun to fall behind in terms of Powercreep. They make niche subs or inherits in end game content and have relatively low value prior to their awoken forms.

By comparison, the Norse Gods are still a powerful option for damage enhance as subs, leaders, or inherits; however, their main strength of two turns of enhanced will be lost when the Armour Knights and Gemstone Princesses all receive their future buff in JP. This does not make the Norse Gods weaker, but simply means you may have better options for enhancement.

Hinokagutsuchi is a nightmare to spell and is often shortened to Hino and was one of the first monsters to receive an Awoken Evolution. Upon release, Hino was a fiery success as he hits incredibly hard with 3 two prong attack TPA awakenings. This has incredible synergy with Awoken Shiva Shiva who is one of the most popular TPA oriented leaders. Hino will also be receiving a skill bind resist awakening Skill Lock Resist in the near future and this will resolve his largest pitfall. Furthermore, Hino’s active creates a favourable 4 colour board along with the situationally helpful 75% defence break. Overall a fantastic fire TPA sub to own and is worth investing both pluses and attack latent Imp ATK tamadras.

Viper Orochi has gone from zero to hero with various ups and downs along the way. Presently, Orochi is one of the most desired monsters in Puzzle and Dragons because of his 4 turn delay. Until recently, delays were beginning to go out of style; however, with the advent of stronger bosses with either resolve or damage absorption shields, players are become more reliant on the extra turns gained from his active. In addition, Orochi covers the awkward water and wood attribute on rainbow teams and is only outclassed by Awoken Isis Isis in that regard. The 4 two prong attack TPA awakenings allow for spectacular burst damage, but his naturally low base attack means he requires plus egg investment to truly shine. Orochi can also be used on every mono water team if you require a delay.

With the introduction of Skill Inheritance, duplicate Orochis are quite desired and I strongly encourage you to not sell them for 5,000 Monster Points. I wish my abs were as chiselled and sculpted as Awoken Susano because that would most certainly boost my husbando potential. Regardless, Susano is the definition of a dream boat in both looks and sub potential. He is a favoured sub on both rainbow and mono wood teams due to his wood and fire coverage. His bind immunity is crucial for both having access to a shield at all times along with being able to contribute his colours for rainbow team activation. Susano is perhaps most at home on Awoken Sakuya Sakuya teams due to full colour coverage and the ability to trigger her leader skill if the entire team is bound. On mono wood teams, Susano provides a valuable shielding component and haste while providing 2 two prong TPA awakenings.

The shielding component has become invaluable with stronger preemptive strikes or the need to stall on dangerous bosses and the 50% damage reduction allows you to survive most attacks. The haste has situationally useful uses when skill delay attacks are involved. Due to his unbindability, Susano is a great candidate for full rainbow latent resists (1% of each colour) as a means to survive 100% gravity attacks. His active is also a viable choice for skill inheritance.

Susano’s main weakness is a lack of Skill Bind Resist Skill Lock Resist and this could place constraints on team building in order to achieve 100% immunity.

Amaterasu has been transformed into a fantastic bind clearing sub and powerful leader. She is both bind immune will possessing the bind recover Bind Clear awakening awakening (albeit no heart generating active) giving you flexibility in how you deal with binds. Furthermore, the double Skill Bind Resist Skill Lock Resist is quite unique and allows for more flexibility in team building. In terms of other high end bind clearers, Amaterasu competes with Awoken Saukya Sakuya and both are great options.

Amaterasu’s active has 3 components and only an 8-turn cooldown. The 40% of max HP heal is quite powerful and only increases in value as your HP rises. It has an exceptional value on Saria Saria / Thor Thor teams who have an augmented health pool (a 40k HP team would receive 16k of healing). The haste is a nice addition as you can use it to recharge your other skills if the binding stage has been passed.

As a leader, Amaterasu forms a powerful 16x ATK team when your HP is full (scales down to 9x when damaged). However, you also heal 10x of your base RCV with every orb match. This essentially is a full heal every turn with dual Amaterasu leads. This is fantastic as you do not have to worry about healing and can survive any dungeon provided you do not get one shotted. This also makes her great for 5×4 latent resist farming (other viable leads can be found in my previous post) as you cannot die to the invading Tamadra.

Overall a great card to own for both sub and leadership roles.

Man, woman, or avenging cyborg? Tsukuyomi, or Yomi, can be anything you want them to be and is an incredibly powerful leader with a 56.25x ATK multiplier. They utilize the match 5 connected orbs, 1 enhanced orb (5o1e) leader playstyle and requires 7+ combos to achieve their full multiplier. This makes them very challenging and skill intensive to use as you have to essentially maximize the board every time you wish to deal damage. However, if you are able to do this successfully, your damage output will be amazing and most likely sweep every floor. So why are they not a more popular leader? The simple answer is a lack of any survivability multiplier (HP or RCV), high skill cap/thinking required, and naturally low recovery that makes stalling difficult.

Awakenings wise, Yomi provides 1.5 seconds of additional time to move orbs (3 seconds if dual leaders) and 3 dark orb enhance Dark Orb Enhance awakenings. Together, these allow for a luxurious amount of time for comboing as well as significant damage for every dark orb match and skyfall.

As a sub, Yomi is seldom seen due to their active being somewhat underwhelming and the enhanced orbs having less synergy with row or TPA based teams. However, you can use their active to override time debuffs (think Dark Izanami’s -2s) which can be situationally useful.

Thor is sadly not the hunky beefcake you see flying around in cinemas and his art work may make you cringe upon closer inspection. Poor art and fashion choices aside, Thor is an incredible mono light card as both a sub and leader. When used as a leader, he pairs wonderfully with Saria Saria to form a 2x HP / 14.06x ATK / 2.5x RCV tank team that has an amazing sub pool to draw upon. For further reading and team building advice, please read my Full Guide. Light has a fantastic array of subs to draw upon that are row oriented and can easily surpass 10 row Light Row awakenings with the right subs. You are able to safely stall on various bosses and can unleash spectacular burst damage with your various orb changers.

As a sub, Thor can be found on mono light and rainbow teams due to his light and water enhancement. Most rainbow teams are light heavy and by granting 2x damage, you should safely sweep any floor. Perhaps his most synergetic rainbow pairing is on Awoken DQXQ Awoken DQXQ as she greatly benefits from his 3 row enhances. Furthermore, Ra Dragon Ra Dragon teams could use Thor despite the lack of god typing if you (for some reason) need the damage enhancement and the two SBR Skill Lock Resist awakenings. You can also utilize Thor’s active for skill inheritance as a means to conserve sub slots of those have more favourable awakenings/typing.

Through Skill Inheritance, Awoken Thor is able to be used as an assistant for both water and light teams.

Loki is the last of the Norse Gods and has the highly desired Devil typing. This allows him to be fully utilized on both Awoken Pandora Awoken Pandoraand  Awoken Lucifer Awoken Archdemon Lucifer teams as a powerful 2x damage enhancemer. Some players will argue the necessity on using Loki on Pandora teams as with the right orb changer combos, you should be able to obliterate any boss in the game. However, he is almost mandatory on Lucifer teams for high end content. The enhanced heart orb +heart awakening augments your healing potential and can be used in conjunction with other heart breaking actives to produce enhanced dark orbs. Without a God typing, Loki will most likely not be used on Yomi Dragon Yomi Dragon teams in favour of stronger options. Other potential teams Loki can make an appearance on are Awoken Yomi Awoken Yomi and Dark Metatron dtron.

Another interesting aspect of Awoken Loki is his potential as a rainbow sub due to his light and dark enhancement. Many rainbow teams are light heavy and the additional dark coverage and two skill bind resists ease team building constraints while still providing damage enhancement.

Overall, Loki is a vital sub for mono dark teams who wish to push end game content as he allows you to safely burst the most durable of bosses.

Conclusion

Day 1 features the stronger line up mostly due to the power of the Three Kingdom Gods and Awoken Liu Bei. However, neither day is exceptionally noteworthy  as too many aging pantheons are featured along with lower value until many of those cards are evolved into their awoken form.

Let me know what you hope to roll this Godfest and how many stones you have saved up/budgeting.

Happy Puzzling!

  1. I feel like day 2 has by far the better GFE’s tho.
Mechanical Gods, JP Dragon Callers and the Norns are all highly desired monsters and compared to the Sonia’s, Odin’s a lot better. The only downside of day 2 is the lack of Dragonbounds and having the Metatrons…

  2. I think Sun Quan got a leader skill boost and is now at 64x damage and 4x RCV. I think I’m going to roll in Day 2 due to the better GFE’s and Thor would be the most useful to my teams.

      1. Nothing good for rolls, 3rd Ars Nova BUT I got Ilm so I can’t complain too much. Hopefully the new evolve doesn’t take too long to come over. Also I’m kinda excited about the new Ishtar evolve, if I’m looking at that right its a void and a 44k heal from a maxed farmable.

        1. Hey Ilm is a pretty wonderful roll! It’s not every day you get a 6* =P

Ishtar at least provides an interesting option and I hope GH makes more viable farmable monsters

          1. Speaking of farmables, are there any good ones for Awoken Sun Quan? It feels like I’ll never get an Urd and have been wanting to bring him online. Main issue is when I create water, that I don’t break the fire orbs.

            1. If you are truly desperate for a board changer, you can use Volsung and then use another orb changer after to help create a better board. There is of course Fenrir (mystic Knight) but not many options over all =(

  3. I’m happy and sad at the same time… Rolled DQXQ and Indra on my main and 2 saria on my alt…Now my alt team will have 3 board changer and my main none… Why not 1 saria on my main and the DQXQ on my alt? 😦

    1. That’s how the REM works! If you alt is starved for options, you can just run the 3 tri-element board changers. They should always produce a usable board so it’s not too bad

  4. Day 1 was tempting with Indra, Parvati, and Cao Cao but, the GFE lineup completely turned me off of it. Spent my rolls on the DC Carnival instead and netted myself Napoleon, Carat, and Sheen. Don’t really care about Napoleon but, the other two are great.

  5. I’m very excited by what I rolled, and i didn’t even get any featured pantheons or GFEs! I got both Krishna and Anima, and since my leader is a +297 Awoken Ares, I’m going to have a lot of fun building teams for a while!

  6. I pulled two more Sun Quan, another Blue Sonia and some Green Odins! With the second Blue Sonia, should I change up my Sarasvati team?

Currently I’m running Sarasvati, Blue Sonia, Blue Odin, Andromeda and Amon but I am a bit lacking in the orb generation department I feel sometimes and I get rolled trying to do any of the +297 stuff. If Blue Sonia wouldn’t cut it I also have Sumire, Sun Quan x3, Karin, Sitri, Orichi, Blue Valkyrie, Neptune, Sherias, Skuld, Isis, Beast Rider x3 and Water Wizard Sharon that I could throw in there with a little bit of work.

    1. Drop Blodin asap. You do not need the damage enhance on a team that already hits crazy hard

You can use Valkyrie as she offers a quick orb change that can be used frequently. Amon is not ideal unless max skilled imo

  9. Day 1: Kagutsuchi, Water Dragon Swordsman
    Day 2: Ares, 2nd Muse

I’m a bit disappointed, it’s something like four GFE I don’t find nothing reallu useful for my teams, should Kagu useful for SI?
At least WDS would be a noce SI for Bund clearing…

      1. The best thing in this event is the X4 Skill up rate: maxskill Gadius was a breeze 🙂
My red box is really lacking, but I’d like to try a temptative team just for fun: Gadius, Tsubaki, R/G Cao Cao, Kenshin, Chester (the only other red cards I’ve got are Zeta Hydra, Ares and Kagutsuchi).

Well, even the Challenge Dungeon is lacking Badpy and Shynpy…

  10. My friend has been struggling to find a good leader for awhile, and finally pulled one in Krishna! He doesn’t have PADHerder, but happens to have exactly 4 good subs for him. Urd, Sanada (The future Red/Dark version, he is all in on enhanced fire orbs), Tsubaki, and Horus. My question is, do you think he’d be better off using ACE Horus, or Awoken Horus?

In terms of stats, Ace Horus has around 500 more hp and 500 more attack, and 500 less RCV than awoken Horus. Since Krishna multiplies them all, Ace would end up benefiting more from the attack multiplier of the second part of Krishna’s leader skill (according to PADX, their weighted stats are only 3 off). It ends up being about 1,200 more RCV at the cost of 1,100 hp (though with Ace Horus it’s still like 7,800 RCV, which is probably more than enough anyway), and then some large amount of attack when full leader activation is reached.

In terms of awakenings, Awoken Horus gives another 2 enhanced fire orbs (setting my OCD at ease, this makes it an even 20) and another skill boost. Ace has another TPA which could be crucial for piercing defense. I am not sure if the additional 2 enhanced fire orbs makes up for awoken Horus’ lower attack value when spread across the whole team, or at how many fire orbs in a match would cause that to happen (it all sounds suspiciously like math). Ace also has the very useful Devil Killer.

So for the skill… Ace Horus plus Sanada gives you at least 6 fire orbs. In a perfect world, you get to 9 fire orbs after the sanada active an appreciable amount of the time, but it’s not guaranteed. The utility of this combination I think outweighs Awoken Horus active, which is really only useful after generating fire from non fire orbs, which Sanada can already do (and in the case of Urd, Sanada does it much better).

I feel Ace Horus just has too much extra utility on this team, despite my OCD crying pools upon pools of saltiness at having 18 enhanced fire vs 20 enhanced fire, but thought it was an interesting enough topic to post here. Is it time to lay sweet Awoken Horus to rest, or is there something I missed?

      1. When you have that many enhanced orb awakenings, you do have somewhat diminishing returns. However, is there no other orb changer your friend can use? A small damage enhance (that conflicts with Sanada) on a team that is very orb hungry has low value.

I wish I had rolled more now. I rolled three times, Anima x 2 (sold). Then on the last day I got a second Paimon and quit.
