A Very Meri Day

Introduction

I was fortunate to roll Meridionalis 3276 on Mantastic at the beginning of the Heroine REM event and was able to take her for a spin in a solo Arena 3 attempt. Needless to say, she is  an amazingly fun leader to use and I am overjoyed by the fact that I have another viable end game leader to use.

Solo Arena 3 clear

Fantastic rolls

Due to the success with Meri, I was highly motivated to try and acquire her on my Fantastic account in order to take advantage of coop and a playstyle I enjoy. Thankfully, I have some supportive viewers (0apie) and was able to IAP a pack and test my luck.

Continued success

My gamble paid off and I am excited to begin a new era or PAD gameplay with Meridionalis as the no skyfall clause is incredible for stalling/hoarding orbs and damage control. I did a couple of test coop runs of Arena 3 today and was thrilled to have been able to complete both within 45 minutes with one of the runs taking around 15-16 minutes due to the water skyfalls on floor 1.

Acquiring Meridionalis on both accounts has re-injected a sense of excitement into my PAD life as I now have a new and powerful team to play with. It will also motivate me to try and min-max my team as best as possible to write a comprehensive team building guide for her after they announce her buff/evo in next week’s JP stream.

Conclusion

Now I need to decide if I should start saying MERaculous instead of MYRaculous.

Happy Puzzling!

  1. Grats, your luck is well deserved 🙂 I didn’t manage to get Meri on my alt, guess I’ll just settle for dual Aizens *cough*

Seriously though, Meri is super fun to play, I’m thinking of getting Nepdra on my alt to pair with her.

    1. I didn’t get her either, but I’ve been using my friends’ Meri leads to run her with my Nepdra – it’s a lot of fun and something new to tinker with (and gets my Nepdra some action again!).

  2. Screaming like a girl was the best part and congrats for Meri

i pulled a Meri as well and i am on a Experimental phase with her
just thinking if i shouldnt use a Karin system on her with a Yshtola xD when the othe other one would doe the same it would be a good team xD good is Yshtola can combo with Karin and ryune board to make a good 2/3 water board just thinking to run a Meri, A.Karin, A.Karin, Andromeda/W/D Alresha,Yshtola for solo i think i will switch Yshtola for A.Isis

  3. Your Arena 3 clear with Meri was quite impressive and very entertaining. Congrat!
I was bless too with a Mari on my main. In fact, three in six pulls (completely insane, I never thought I would wish for a lower graded roll). My alt didn’ t had a third of that chance. So I used a Mion with some success and fun. But if damage was “ok”, stalling was a challenge (with my limited ability). My question, what do you think about buying a Neptune Dragon? Apart from the fact that it would totally drain my MP bank, it seems that ND and Mari makes an ok couple. Do you see a better or less costlier “poor girl” match than this one? I already have very good Myr and Liu Bui setups.

  4. Meri is super fun, and I’m excited to run Arena gauntlets with her. I’m missing Ryune and a second Blonia, though, although I do have Scheats to inherit. Those high HP blue subs with max level inherits are important–I could never have imagined the team could have 40k HP!

I was lucky enough to pull two Meris–is it worth having two though?

    1. Ditto – worth the value? I guess per the post, we could wait and watch and hope that JP buffs Mer to stupid(endous) levels! 🙂

  5. I pulled her as well and am trying to put together a solid team for her, would you recommend getting more rows to stack on the 10 from dual meri or more orb enhances?

  6. I just pulled Meri today, so I’ll be looking forward to your more detailed team guide. Also, My RL friend has Awoken I&I and the two should make a decent paring to co-op together with (assuming he can get past the whole no skyfall thing, heh).

  7. Hey mantastic, could you help me out with my Mers? I am trying to emulate your team, but I have two vast problems (no blonias). Here is what I was toying around with:
    Mer (+297 max skilled)
    sarasvati (+297, blue crest inherit)
    Sumire (divine ilumination inherit)
    A. Hermes (a. hermes inherit)
    A. Sun Quan (a. sun quan inherit)
    Mer (friend, I hope)

    My goal is arena 3.

    My box also contains:
    andromeda
    a. karin
    Sun Quan
    gabriel
    dup sumire
    a. lakshmi
    a jewel princess carat

All awakenings, most not +297ed, most max skilled.

Others include Sherias, red norns, and rozuel.

    I appreciate any advice!!

  8. I had gotten Sheena with my free pull and I was quite leery about pulling more at a 10 stone per pull rate. I really didn’t want to get another Sheena. But after watching your clear of Arena 3 I started to reconsider. This morning on a whim i did a single pull and Meri came out!

I felt so lucky! Though i think I have blown all of my luck for a while now.

  9. Last roll and I got her. The other cards I got were 4 Sheena and a mito! Can’t wait for a detailed guide. Played around a little with her in endless to try her out and she seems fun to use.

  10. After I was fortunate enough to pull a Meri in the Heroine REM, I immediately max skilled and plussed her, happy to have a solid, fun farming lead. Then I quickly realized I had no solid water sub with 2 SBR. I had Skuld, Sumire, and Awoken Isis all at the ready, plus a Toshiro and Sitri for inherits…but I was really lacking the powerhouse Andromeda (the wonder twins AI&I just aren’t the best here).

So the water gala came around today, and I became inspired after remembering this article. If you could do it, so could I! Thus, I YOLO’d it and bought a pack of stones. After a dozen rolls and me nearly giving up twice, I actually got Andromeda. Thank you Mantastic!

  11. Nice run on A3. I can see Meri becoming a new team to work on. But I do have a question. Her leader skill max out when you connect 8 water orbs. If you make a row and connect the extra 2 orbs to make 8, kind of a L or T shape does this void the damage you would get from her 5 rows or you get the 5 rows damage and 8 connected orbs damages.

Thanks again for all the great articles

Any variation of that (adjusting the sticking out orbs while retaining the 6 in a row) will still trigger the row awakenings so it is a manner of being creative with orb placements. Connecting 8+ without a horizontal 6 will not receive the bonus damage but still grant 100x

  12. I was still working on a reliable Arena 1 farm team from my other posts. I had more success with Krishna then AA Lucifer. But one day i had a terrible day with Krishna. 0/4 so the next day I decided to give Meri a go of it. I knew the only things i really had to worry about solo were Dark Hera’s preemptive attack and over damaging; be it Parvati, Sodpet or a resolve.

Fortunately if you can survive the hits, Meri is the easiest to health up with afterwards. So i put some assists on almost everyone both for the added skills and the bonus to stats if they are the same colour. Then I chose the +15% HP badge and put A Isis in my team. Her 15% damage reduction is enough to tank the hit. No more troubles with Hera.

I am now 4/4 with Meri on Arena 1. I think i have found my py farming team.

    1. That’s fantastic! Meri is also significantly faster than Krishna as she requires less orbs for burst damage. I’m glad you found a workaround for the dq preemptive =D

      1. I finally got brave and gave Arena 2 a go of it. Things were going well. I got both Sodpet and Parvati; but i have gotten quite used to both of those from Arena 1 so they are no longer troublesome and Parvati is even great for getting all of your skills up.

I then got Shiva. So in order to kill him quickly as i couldn’t survive his over 40k hit and needed combos to get through his shield, I had to use Meri’s active which meant i couldn’t heal up and kill at the same time.

        But my luck held.

Had I gotten Lifive, I would have been dead from the preemptive. I also couldn’t heal before the Dark Hera floor so had I gotten Hera, I would have died. But i didn’t So i made it to Kali with only one active. Fortunately, it was my inherited Mori. Not a good enough board to one shot, but enough to knock her past her danger zone.

The last floor is kinda walking on egg shells. One bad skyfall with 0 heals and I would have been dead. Fortunately, that didn’t happen.

        On to Arena 3!

  13. I didn’t get Meri but my friend did, and after your post we tried coop with her Meri and my maxed Skuld… wow. We’re still not to Arena level yet, but when we are, I think we have a good chance.
