Introduction
The general gist of Question Time posts are for players to ask various PAD-related questions that do not have a simple/Google-able answer or related article on my website. I do play other games and have often found myself having specific/unique questions about it but have no where to go and can imagine this may hold true for some of my readers.
With that being said, there will be some restrictions on the types of questions I will be answering.
If planning on commenting on a regular basis, it is advantageous to create a WordPress account to both receive notifications as well as giving me a point of reference as to who I am responding to.
Do’s and Don’t
For the most part, almost any question will be answered, even some non-invasive Off-Topic ones; however, it is best to ask questions that require explanation/why/my personal opinion. The following examples are Fantastic types of questions to ask:
- Of these options, what is the best Yusuke team I can make for Arena 3?
- What direction do you think GungHo will take with the 4x HP leads?
- Can Heart Cross teams be revived and if so, how?
The following types of questions will not be answered by me either because it has a simple Google-able answer or shows a lack of effort on the reader’s part:
- Anything that Google/Padx can answer
- A link to your entire Monster Box and saying “make me a team”
Conclusion
I hope my readers use this opportunity to ask questions that will hopefully improve their overall game play and progression.

I feel both do equally well in an A4 setting as it does not require the massive effective HP dark metatron has so it then comes down to how well you can populate those teams

I’m a collector / completist (without spending money, so mostly of farmable things) and as a result I use Padx and Padherder a lot. Both of these sites have had problems being maintained as their founders lost interest in the game: Padherder is on the verge of being unusable. Are there new projects like these that seem likely to stay around for a while?

I am not sure as to direct replacements but I have a friend who is doing something along the lines of padherder and is getting closer to completion

Being an occasional IAP-player, means i don’t always have the most “idea” team, or in another words: I lack many 7 star cards or 6 stars collab cards.
And chasing those cards in REM can sometimes (in my own case, often) leads to frustration. So… to fight the frustration, I started to clearn contents with non-REM team with non-REM assist, and I am currently able to clear up to A3. (On the verge of clearing A4)
I was wondering would you consider posting future videos of you clear contents with non-REM cards or “trash” gold eggs cards to highlight your skill, as well as the worth of those “trash” cards?

I am using
Leader: Kage (super awakening: follow-up attack)
Sub: Ordin Dra (bind clearing)
Sub: Borma (damage absorption void)
Sub: Younger Toguro, 100% Power (spike)
Sub: Male Hunter Mizutsune x Gear
And for assist:
Sakura Matou (bind clearing)
Hakuryu Card (on Toguro, 100%, triple balance killers)
Jormungandr-Ullr (poison; for king tans or pre-dras)
Trojan Horse x 2 (resistant)
In all honest…. with your skill, not only A4, I feel you can use this team to clear A5 (if not encounter Hera). There is not damage void piercer on this team, unfortunately.

That is an interesting team for sure! Main issues for a5 is lacking cloud resist and VDP for the final floors
With that being said, I applaud you on your creativity for making a functioning team!

Hey Mantastic, can you recommend a stylus? I am having a hard time consistently hitting 8 combos with my finger. Which do you use?

I use the PAD Supen but I feel any mesh tip stylus would work just as well

At this point in time it would be the following:
Board game: Scythe (has a solo component)
Mobile game: Fire Emblem Heroes (pretty casual)
Computer game: Heroes of the Storm =)

What is a good FUA sub for a yusuke team? I know amatsu and blue cotton are, but i dont have them. Just rolled yusuke today 🙂

Bridal chief of the white heron, Raijin or mega awoken dragon emperor, Sherias roots are great options.

For your own box, I would sort by FUA and look at all the Light cards present
Generally speaking, you want to have 7c and a shorter base cooldown to better inherit over
This is one reason why Cottons are favoured (Blue and Light) as they can carry any inherit with ease

Would the new Yusuke Evo be a better sub to the first evo or is it better to have two first Evo Yusukes

What do you think are the best 3 leaders in the game currently? And which do you think is better between Yusuke and Edward?

Dark Metatron is probably the best NA currently has due to the massive effective HP, high damage, easy VDP, and strong sub options.
Edward and Yusuke are both great leaders but I give more of an edge to Edward because Damage Reduction > HP as A5/AA2 features the Gravity+Hit combo
With that being said, Yusuke is one of the better leads for VDP as you naturally have 2 cards who both have 3x 7c

After grtting a lot of good new dark cards (or new evos of old cards) I want to try AA1 and A4. But I do not relly knownwhat I need.
Atm I play Akuma as leader and mostly Sensui as my helper (he is my own). My normal team is Hiei, VNey, Nees and Revo Tsukuyomi. Best Assists are UroborusTattoo, Reeche Hat, Diena, Paris the Schema card, Trojan Horse and some Fujin styles. Other good subs could be Hakus, Durga, both Lucifers, maybe Myne.
Do I miss something for both dungeons?
Or am I ready?

I would pair Akuma with Diablos as you can use bicolour boards which is much better for VDP (can also use tricolour with hearts for FUA) and I have pretty good success with them in A5. You dont need the extra damage from Sensui in most cases for that dungeon.
Both of those dungeons require VDP and maybe some additional burst but only AA1 needs Fujin (Akuma solves this). Having Poison Resist is quite helpful in both dungeons as well
I like VNey, Nees, and Yomi as subs as they offer TE, HP, and two Awoken Bind clearing options. You would need more board changers so things like Sheena, base Ryune etc. Trojan Horse is strong for the resists but I would still look for more board changers

I just came back to PAD with a really old box, I have a lot of fire based cards like Shiva/Hino/Urd/Ronia and Enra/No.6 that I just rolled and I’m using Roy Mustang as a leader. Do you think investing in mono fire to be a good idea? Do you have any recommendations on what leader I should be looking for in the future?

Most of the stronger leaders now tend to be seasonal/collab cards with a few exceptions
We should be getting a Super Godfest featuring GH Collab cards soon which would probably be the best place for you to roll

Hey, love the content. Couple questions:
1) Where to get the pieces for the final evolution of Ragdra? I already have an unevolved Ninegaruda.
2) What is the optimal setup for Sherias Roots these days? I just came back from hiatus (last played in 2016). I mega evolved him but have still been using Ragdra, reincarnated Orochi, D.Kali (not new evo), and Mega Baldin. Assists were pretty new when I quit so I have no idea what assists to put on any of them either or how far this team can take me (I could do A1 fairly easily with this setup back in 2016).

Sherias roots is a 4x HP lead with high ATK and no RCV bonus. As such, players need to have a healing solution and one of the easiest ways is to use a Kuroyuri system (750k MP card from GH Collab). By owning 2, you can constantly heal 40% of your max HP every turn
Barring that, you should find something with Enhanced Heal Orb awakenings (http://www.puzzledragonx.com/en/monster.asp?n=3788)

hey mantastic, this is a follow up to my earlier yusuke question.
i feel that my yusuke team’s subs for clearing A4 must include odindra for the awoken bind clear, but after that i need a resolve killer and void damage absorption sub. for resolve killer, my choices are tohsaka and momiji, and for my void damage absorption my choices are blujin and lugh. the last slot is currently filled by karin shindou, because i think the double 7 combo awoken is worth it, and her light/water typing fits yusuke well. what choices do you think i should opt for and why? Odin Dragon is a pretty key card for A4 but you do not need a Damage Absorb Void (only 1 spawn has this mechanic and it is only 10 turns)
As such, I would focus on having FUA and would use Tosaka as she has a much shorter CD and can inherit utility of your choice
Karin works well so your team would look like Yusuke, Odin Dragon, Tosaka, Karin, flex

for the flex, do you think i should opt for another damage card karin shindou, or something like vajraksaya for light orb spawns, or perhaps go for a blue sub like summer eschamali to create more blue orbs? i would go a card that does blue/light orb change, but i do not own one

possible sub list for flex: karin shindou, white goddess valk, aife, vaj, izanagi. could also go the high road and farm a timebound myr, but not sure if this is the move

You will probably have more than enough damage on a given floor so Aife is not needed so I would possibly go with light vaj for the faster SB and modest damage buff for the end of the dungeon

Is AA1 harder than A5?

Both require different set ups as the mechanics vary but I would say that maybe a5 is harder? Either way, it is best to farm a5 due to double Killers

I have a lot of clutter in my box, but not a lot of capacity for it (~300 cards). Most of the things i consider clutter are low rarity seasonal, collab, or other REM cards. I know you typically say that players should keep new cards to their box, but do you think there’s any chance some of these cards will be useful in the future? And if not, should i sell them?
I’m rank 346, but i try to save my precious stones for rolling, not capacity. Thanks again!

That is a tricky situation as we do not know if a less ideal card will become good the next time around
Some seasonals have weird actives but they may become more valuable if the meta shifts whereas old pantheon REM cards are starting to get a new type of evolution so they will be changing soon
One way to think about box space is one REM roll = 25 space and then weigh how much more enjoyment you will gain from having more freedom vs the chance to roll something

I rate a monster based on their viability to fulfill a role as a leader, sub, or inherit
Generally speaking, I favour cards that are hard to replace or those that fulfill useful niches that few others can do

I am having some trouble with my Dmeta squad and Edward team. When she first came out, i really wanted to explore the blue side of dmeta, or at least i was intrigued by it, which is how this team ended up here. I do have some dark cards available, but am missing planar and i cant seem to farm an eir. She kills me bad.
Edward team is something a quite enjoy using, but i cant help but feel i keep missing the 50k hp mark. I am super close, usually 48 and higher, but for some reason i u derstand that thats an important mark to hit. Any truths?
Last but not least, you might notice i have emiya and akuma that i dont really use. Just one of each as a box cheerleader. Shall they become weapon assists?

Hi! So I haven’t had much time to play ever since dathena lost lost its position in the tier list, but I want to get back into it, and I was lucky enough to pull cards like Saber and Rin from the fate collab and a few other good ones when I did log in. Based on all the cards available right now and what is to come for NA, what are some good subs if I want to make teams with Rin, Saber, and Sherias Roots as leads?

Which Saber evo are you using?
Sherias Roots is basically Dragons with all attributes with either Enhanced Heart Orbs or Kuroyuri system for healing

Rin works well with most Fire or Light cards and is mostly a manner of finding what you need for the dungeon and what synergizes with your team

He is reasonable but being restricted to Dragons makes it harder to work with, esp without Kuroyuri as he lacks a strong healing solution otherwise

Hey Mana, I was wondering what is the best way to determine what monsters to get rid of when you box is getting full. I have a feeling I am keeping too many monsters that have skills that are nice for inherits but I never end up making any teams to use them in.

I would get rid of redundant farmables but if you are working with a super small box, I would strongly consider expanding your box

You can make many of them into the evolution gems (which stack) but the few farmables I find myself using are Tengu, Orpharion, Whaledor, Eir, and Halloween Myne
