Question Time with Mantastic – June 2021

Introduction

The general gist of Question Time posts are for players to ask various PAD-related questions that do not have a simple/Google-able answer or related article on my website. I do play other games and have often found myself having specific/unique questions about it but have no where to go and can imagine this may hold true for some of my readers. With that being said, there will be some restrictions on the types of questions I will be answering. If planning on commenting on a regular basis, it is advantageous to create a WordPress account to both receive notifications as well as giving me a point of reference as to who I am responding to.

Do’s and Don’t

download For the most part, almost any question will be answered, even some non-invasive Off-Topic ones; however, it is best to ask questions that require explanation/why/my personal opinion. The following examples are Fantastic types of questions to ask:
  • Of these options, what is the best Yusuke team I can make for Arena 3?
  • What direction do you think GungHo will take with the 4x HP leads?
  • Can Heart Cross teams be revived and if so, how?
x The following types of questions will not be answered by me either because it has a simple Google-able answer or shows a lack of effort on the reader’s part:
  • Anything that Google/Padx can answer
  • A link to your entire Monster Box and saying “make me a team”

Conclusion

I hope my readers use this opportunity to ask questions that will hopefully improve their overall game play and progression. Happy Puzzling!

    1. Hey Mantastic, I hope you’re doing well! With the release of the new godfest exclusives Royal Oak & Nautilus I was wondering how do you think Gung-ho will continue to develop and create new leaders? Besides jiraiya we haven’t seen a multi/double change. Do you think we’ll eventually get to triple/quad change some day? Lastly, do you think old leaders will slowly disappear in practically with the emergence of these newer cards. (Name is pronounced like Iced Latte)

      1. One of the Kamen rider cards had 3 or 4 stages, and it was too much of a hassle to use despite being powerful on paper.

      2. Multi step transforms are just another way to force players to find solutions for team building. Basically sacrificing some aspects to safely transform and ride the better abilities after

        As such, I feel more multi-steps will emerge like Nautilus as its a way to keep a card “weaker” and stronger at the same time

    1. one of us would give +combos and the other Auto Follow up

      I like blue so we would def be Water based, maybe a Dragon too cause I like those to XD

      I personally like Rows so something along the lines of that would be ideal

  4. Hi Mantastic,

    Where should players invest the resources for Super Level Limit Breakthrough. As a non-PAD pass NIAP, I have about 5 billion coins. I also believe that collab monsters might get a bigger stat boost than REM. Where are you using SLLB in your accounts?

    1. SLLB has the same effect for every card, regardless of rarity/collab/GFE status.

      They gain 10% HP, 5% ATK, 5% RCV (a bit disappointing, for the cost).

      So, if you really want to maximize your return on investment, SLLB a monster with naturally huge weighted stats (especially HP, like something from Monster Hunter).

      But, really, you can feel free to SLLB whatever cards you’re getting the most use out of, currently. The main consideration is if one of your cards is consistently hitting damage cap, you can give it the damage cap doubling awakening.

      (I should also mention that the stat boost latent awakenings restricted to SLLB are just barely any better than the normal ones)

        For myself, I have not SLLB anything yet because I do not need them right now. I tend to use resources on an as-needed basis and I can comfortably clear AWoC2 so I am just continuing to hoard

        With that being said, cards who you want to give the damage cap latent to (eg. Selica, new Lina) are great candidates if they were already hitting big numbers with ease

    I have Royal oak team dual lead with zela hat each one.

    I have Alynna + Eva flute assist with skill lvl 1 (25 turns in total), só I can transform her lvl 1. Tons of recovery with 3 la tens of rcv+. 3.539 rcv.

    I have Selica with Parvati’s brooch. Unlock orbs, movement time, orb generation, 5 SB (with super awkn).

    And I have doubts with the other 2 subs.

    I have NY artemis (evo form, clears awkn skill bind and voids att absortion, 10 turns). ¿Should I downevo her to base form? (void dmg absortion + unmatchable orbs, 18 turns).

    I don’t have unmatchable orbs. I Will loose the 2 enhanced wood combos but… I do not need more dmg.

    And I have Inosuke Hashibira. Should I evo him to equip and put a GPolowne (Christmas), with Inosuke Hashibira equip? I would have more rcv. But I would loose the resistance posion+.

    xD what would you do?? Go polowne and do a poison awkn resist? I’m not sure about making Inosuke hashibira a weapon but it’s a veeery good weapon.

  7. Hi Mantastic,

    This one might need some technical answers, so if you don’t remember all the names, no worries.

    I’m becoming interested in streaming myself, and was wondering how you set up your stream having a mobile game, your face, and the chat box all appear at once. From what I gathered from a surface research effort, it doesn’t appear ordinarily possible to show all those things at once on screen, so what’s your magic secrets?

    And btw, wishing for your good health as always. Without your insights, I’d have quit PAD long ago.

    2. I use Streamlabs OBS for creating the overlay and streaming to Twitch. You select inputs for your overlay to display them

      Airserver to capture my PAD screen

      Web cam for face

      Chatbox on screen is a setting within Streamlabs OBS

  9. Hey Mantastic,

    Who do you think are the best leaders in the current meta if you don’t allow the use of ANY collab cards as either leaders or subs? Basically if you only had access to the standard REM/GFEs, what teams would you be playing right now?

    1. Well Nautilus and Royal Oak jump out right away as leaders

      Norza, Ina, and Fasca can all function as respectable leaders as well

      It is hard without Collabs as they fill so many holes that are hard to address otherwise
