One Shot Challenge 4 Clear Videos: Gaia & Zeus

Introduction

As a follow up to my One Shot Challenge 4 Guide, here are my clear videos for Mantastic and hopefully Fantastic (pending recording). Mantastic has to fight Gaia Dragon while Fantastic gets Zeus.

Mantastic clear

Was a pretty much flawless run and the only real hiccup was when I used DQXQ and failed to produce enough heart orbs.

Mantastic team

I used the same core team as I do for farming Arena 3. The only change was adding an enhance component (as there was no inherit there before) to ensure a smoother Gaia Dragon kill. I paired myself with Fantastic to gain access to Wedding Akechi W Akechi.

Fantastic’s clear

It makes me sad when the gameplay is slightly choppy as it does make my life a bit harder when matching. Still a Fantastic clear!

Fantastic team

His team is still up in the air, but I am fairly certain it will be nearly identical to my Arena 3 team:

Conclusion

Heart cross leaders are still the most powerful mechanic in the game and are well equipped to deal with all the mechanics presented in this One Shot Challenge.

Let me know who you used to clear this with and what strategies did you utilize.

Happy Puzzling!

  1. what would you consider a key component in this team. like something you can’t beat gaia dragon without ?
I have an izamyr team with saria, apocalypse, sun wukong, and awoken dqxq. all hypermax with the exception of latent awakening, izanagi has a saria active without saria max skill.
can this team beat gaia ?

  2. was doing do well got all the way to zeus dragon no stone and was stalling in the right range with myr. Then the game decided I needed a light row skyfall with several other combos. Pushing him into the range where he locks the orbs constantly. Forced me to stone once to beat him. Sometimes skyfalls are cruel.

      1. That’s true, was hoping for Hera dragon over Zeus dragon as I have no where close to a perfect team for ra dragon, but have yomi dragon already but a radar dragon is a radar dragon.

  3. Took a bunch of tries (first time I’ve ever used Myr in a long, difficult dungeon) but I finally beat Gaia Dragon today 😀
I used Myr (ADQXQ) / Bride Satsuki (Thor) / Wukong (Apocalypse) / ADQXQ / Apocalypse / Myr (Cecil)

All of the hastes really helped throughout the dungeon, but especially against Sopdet, since I could use an active every turn and not be active-starved on the next floor. I can’t consistently do the 3-orb+heart cross to kill her, so I use the row+tpa every turn strategy.

Died once against Shiva because I hit him to his “make a fire board every turn” zone and didn’t have a board changer up. Learned my lesson after that…

Died multiple times to Gaiadra thanks to not realizing I could just take my time killing Deus Ex Machina and wasting actives on her.

Gaiadra was basically Thor + two Apoc/DQXQ boards (I actually the second board, but we got there anyway, PHEW). This was actually the first time I ever got to the boss with Thor up; pretty sure it’s basically impossible to kill in time otherwise (although a shield will apparently let you survive the 500% hit, so that’s also an option).

    1. Congrats on your clear! The dungeon has a lot of tricky elements and you almost always require a burst active to actually kill Gaia in time. I would strongly suggest you do not use a shielding sub as you are almost always better off with an orb changer.

Against Shiva, Skill Delay Resists make a world of a difference, but your ample SI also does the job =)
