Introduction
The general gist of Question Time posts are for players to ask various PAD-related questions that do not have a simple/Google-able answer or related article on my website. I do play other games and have often found myself having specific/unique questions about it but have no where to go and can imagine this may hold true for some of my readers.
With that being said, there will be some restrictions on the types of questions I will be answering.
If planning on commenting on a regular basis, it is advantageous to create a WordPress account to both receive notifications as well as giving me a point of reference as to who I am responding to.
Do’s and Don’t
For the most part, almost any question will be answered, even some non-invasive Off-Topic ones; however, it is best to ask questions that require explanation/why/my personal opinion. The following examples are Fantastic types of questions to ask:
- Of these options, what is the best Yusuke team I can make for Arena 3?
- What direction do you think GungHo will take with the 4x HP leads?
- Can Heart Cross teams be revived and if so, how?
The following types of questions will not be answered by me either because it has a simple Google-able answer or shows a lack of effort on the reader’s part:
- Anything that Google/Padx can answer
- A link to your entire Monster Box and saying “make me a team”
Conclusion
I hope my readers use this opportunity to ask questions that will hopefully improve their overall game play and progression.

I can’t seem to find any info on how to get Rikuu. Do I just have to wait for the next event that offers them as a reward?

Do you think we will get My Hero Collab in NA? And if so, which units are you excited about? I personally would love Deku just to play wood again as I’m getting burnt out on predominantly light and dark teams.

Impossible to say whether or not a collab will come to NA and because of that, I haven’t looked much at it

Which form of odin dra do you reccomend most rainbow teams to use? More specific Aten x Dyer teams

Knowing nothing else, his Reincarnated form (https://ilmina.com/#/CARD/5943) as it offers 5 Effective Skill Boosts and better stats along with all your cards probably being bind immune as the active does change compared to other forms

Hello! Since Gungho is seemingly doing better at making lower rarity cards a teeny bit more viable with streaming machine pulls and event revisiting; how do you feel about buffing surveys. Is it better that people choose lower rarity cards for the buffing or the higher/highest rarity cards?
Also, any guess on the next main character for the next story? My guess is Metatron or Arcangel.

It is hard to guess who will be buffed next but the most logical things would be the ones who are used the least. I am sure GH has data of what is and what is not used etc.
As for next story protagonist, I would say Metatron would be a pretty good guess

Is Highren a good leader pairing? I read your guide on DBDC and had mixed feelings on rolling a Highren, but I have seen her used as an often whale pairing with another card. Is Highren good/practical as a leader or better as a sub?

Neither Highren evolution is a truly desirable leader as he wants to have multiple blobs of two colours
But as a sub, his Water form has wonderfully high VDP potential which does make them a viable solution for VDP damage on mono Water teams

I got myself a VDP latent and have Aten but no Dyer (or friend with one). Should I use the latent on Aten or DT Lucia (seems like a great rainbow lead but I’m missing Aljae and again no friend) or save? I’m currently trying to clear AA3 and been using Alice/Fasca (Floor 20 is as far as I got with some luck). Thoughts?
Also, I sent a friend request to Fantastic, been playing for 1,344 days now and login everyday. Hopefully I can get on the list.

I feel if you try posting your info on the various social media platforms (reddit, fb) you should be able to find some friends. Either way I accepted your request =)
As for the latent question, you would have to determine who you feel you would be using more in the foreseeable future (or next month if you got the PAD Pass)
As for dying with Alice/Fasca, this might help (older article https://mantasticpad.com/2020/04/10/alice-x-fasca-versus-alt-arena-3/) but it has a checklist of what to bring

I do have the pass and thought the same thing (use it now and get another next month). I’m thinking of using it on Lucia. I have a team that looks solid for AA3 using her as a sub on Yugi/Nelle.
I have watched the video and read the article on what’s needed. I think I’ll clear it soon (fingers crossed).

AA3 Down and got Gaslowe. Lucia shredded Hera. Didn’t risk the others but was rewarding.

Are the new Super Reincarnated evolutions (Thor, Tsukuyomi and Vritra) any good? I’m thinking about using SR Tsukuyomi, but I’m not entirely sure if she’s a good sub or leader?

SR Yomi gives an absurd amount of time extend along with a pretty useful active and SA
Thor can be used as a solution for ATK and RCV buffs and Vritra I feel is okay as they are not providing that much uniqueness overall as they are a weak Yugi for LS

My pain flares up on a regular basis but I have not had anything as long lasting since. On the other hand, treatments have been delayed/put on hold due to Covid

I believe it was because it is somewhat a play on words with Mantastic being a combination of manly and fantastic. It also has a pretty positive ring to it along with an easy time making alt accounts and naming them

Hey Mantastic, what is your strat for accumulating enough water orbs to VDP Astrea on Fl 7 or AA4 using your Tsukuyomi x Norza team. Trying to vdp with spinners is killing me. Do you use a turn to bring 6 to the top or bottom and then hold down on spinners until their are 3 blue in a row on one side (if that description makes sesnse) 🙂

The first turn has them doing a gravity so you should use that turn to hoard/save orbs
If the spinners do occur, the “cheesing/manipulation” of the spinners like you described is your next best bet

Hi Mantastic hope you are feeling well! During the last ranking dungeon, I literally started a PandPet video (where he cleared the dungeon) at the exact same time I entered the dungeon. I noticed his animations went faster at times, perhaps gaining a second or two per floor. I could not rank any higher than 7%, while he was around 1.5%. My question is a follows: is there any way to make the game go faster? Does the device you use make any difference? Are there settings you can change to speed things up.

There is no way to go faster from an animation point of view assuming every other metric is the same
One thing about longer ranking dungeons is that if you are just one second faster per floor (probably doable), you would gain 500 x floors more points so in the last ranking, 500 x 9 = +4,500 points
Perhaps super old devices may be slower but I cannot confirm that

Have you ever toyed with stacking L-heart/shield awakenings with other dmg reduction? Curious to hear your thoughts. I have been pleasantly surprised playing Aljae/whoever recently with all of the innate reduction, having played 3-4x Hp leader pairings for the past year or so. Don’t have the box depth to tinker this way, myself…

The only experience I have had with L Hearts is through Yomi x Norza and I do try my best to match that particular pattern as the additional personal damage and damage reduction are meaningful (damage is +1.5x or half a 7 combo)
I feel the Damage Reduction may not be that impactful as you usually have enough HP to survive. On the other hand, the bonus damage is noticable

Hi Mantastic!
From what I’ve seen over the years PAD cards have constantly become stronger and stronger and to compensate this we’ve been introduced to newer challenges such as unmatchable orbs, blind skyfall, etc. I can’t imagine that this is sustainable and that they can continuously add on more. So my question is where do you think GungHo is headed with this and what would you like to see?

GungHo has somewhat dug themselves into this pit of obnoxious mechanics to keep dungeons challenging.
From what I can see, the game is now more focused on team building (so having the right cards/deep box) and active skill management. Orb matching/puzzling is still a part of the game but it plays a much smaller role nowadays imo
In terms of what GH can do, they tend to introduce a new and obnoxious mechanic that can only be truly countered by a specific active which they will then release shortly after

I think an interesting twist would be a special reset of all dungeons with the stipulation that each dungeon must be cleared with only monsters who existed at the time the dungeon debuted.

That would be tricky to implement without Fixed teams as those cards may be some players only copy and now have much higher, non-reversible evos

Hi mantastic, in your witches review, you mentioned that BOdin was one of the best 6 star GFEs, but I don’t really understand his value outside of just being a big blue VDP stick, which seems pretty replaceable. Am I missing something or are blue teams just that starved for VDP?

I’m always at a loss for what latents to use on my teams, and as a result my latent tamadras just end up sitting in my box and taking up space.
Is there a good rule of thumb for what to inherit on a given monster?
If it helps the three main monsters I want to put latents on are Valentine’s Ideal, D.T Lucia, and Reincarnated Ra Drag.

General rule of thumb:
-offensive cards usually take killers for the dungeon they will be used in. rainbow things like Aten usually get VDP latent
-utility cards can have Poison Surge or SDR since they do not use killers well
If ever unsure, SDR is never a bad choice

kenshin equip or shinji&kaworu keychain on yomi for aa4? i dont need the sb or damage since i have vergil, but the jammer resists would be nice. mainly concerned about the huge cd for shinji & kaworu keychain

The main information I use from DadGuide/Mirubot is the card information which is up to date and reliable.
I can still look up monster info on ilmina or padx and will have to adapt accordingly.
One thing to note is that nothing I post is automated and everything is done by hand

How do you feel about introducing “new” content or revamping old content? I had a couple ideas such as a new descend like Alt. Hera Descended which would feature the latest evolution of the Greco-Roman pantheon like R. Neptune from Colo 2 or update the others to have harder mechanics to deal with and end with Alt. Hera-Nyx. The other idea I had was introducing a new UDR with descend bosses from after 2017.

Hi Mantastic, I started playing PAD a few months ago and I have been enjoying it since. I rolled enough cards for a team to carry me through some harder level dungeons. Now I’m looking toward getting some of the ultimate evo farmable such Zeus Verse or Satan for farming some of those dungeons, but with the recent update there was a change to those farmable cards now requiring the rainbow medal gems. My current problems are that my puzzling skills are not enough to get into the ranking threshold to get the rainbow medals. My team is also lacking the few basic resists that would be covered by Trojan horses since I don’t have a lot of assist cards, but I spent most of these medals on super reincarnated cards and some extra slot tamadras. What are your thoughts now about how a player should spend these medals or how they should prioritize uses with them?

I feel a new player should be frugal with tier Rainbow Event Medals as they are quite rare for yourself.
I would hold off on making Super Revos unless you know for sure that they will be valuable to you now and I would not be spending on Extra Latent Slot Tamadras as you cannot truly make use of it
One thing about PAD is that due to the age of the game, you have a huge amount of content to catch up on. This also means you don’t need the current top top tier things as the vast majority of older content can be cleared with most things
My advice would be only spend rare resources (magic stones/event medals/etc.) when you have hit a wall and need new tools to progress
