Introduction
I once told a girl I wanted to get married in June when in fact I really meant August. As such, you would not believe my surprise when I found myself single in August and had no one to give my bouquet to. Regardless, the August June Bride REM comes at an awkward time due to the recent passing of a Super Godfest.
The Super Godfest has left most players without any Magic Stones and may be challenging to justify rolling here as it would be more for Pretty Girls as opposed to progression value. On the bright side, three of the 4-star cards have been removed from the REM lineup.
This article will summarize each card’s strengths and weaknesses to provide a better picture of what to expect in this event.

All 8-star cards are available for trade within the Monster Exchange.
Order within each tier is random and not reflective of ranking.
Regardless of card’s ranking, you should always keep it if it is your very first time acquiring them.
Limit Breaking
Limit Breaking is the process of leveling a card beyond level 99. This will unlock more weighted stats along with the potential to receive Super Awakenings. These additional awakenings can add significant power but only function in solo mode.
Any card that can qualify for Limit Breaking will having their level displayed in blue and feeding a Super Snow Globe will push them beyond the level 99 cap.
8 Star base
All 8-star base cards can be acquired via the Monster Exchange System.
Eschamali – B
Active: Change Wood, Heart, Jammer, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Light orbs. Increase skyfall chance of Light orbs by 15% for 4 turns(10 turn CD)
Leader Skill: God & Machine type cards HP x1.5, ATK x3. Matched attribute ATK x4 when matching exactly 5 connected orbs with at least 1 enhanced orb.
Awakenings:
Worth trading for via Monster Exchange? No
Super Awakenings:

Cons |

Bride Eschamali is and older card within the June Bride event and has unfortunately not aged well. This is mostly attributed to the fact that the meta is strongly defined by Combo-based teams and the 7 Orb Enhances do not fit well. This is because not all teams wish to use a mono-light set up and the enhancements can ruin damage control aspects.
With that being said, Wedding Eschamali is an amazing inherit for Yog along with Yusuke
Edward
teams who wish to flood the board with Light combos.
Bride Gadius – C
Active: Change all orbs to Fire, Light & Dark & Heart orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn. (9 turn CD)
Leader Skill: Dragon type cards HP x1.5, ATK x2. All attribute cards ATK x3 when reaching 1 set of Heart combo. ATK x3.5 for each additional combo, up to ATK x6.5 when reaching 2 combos.
Awakenings:
Worth trading for via Monster Exchange? No

Wedding Gadius was a tempting card last year when Myr was first released as he was able to act as a potent sub on her team; however, time have not been kind to our favourite husbando and he struggles to find true value in this day and age.
His lack of natural offensive awakenings, low value active skill, and poor weighted stats (somewhat fixed via Limit Break) makes it challenging to use him effectively.
On the bright side, all players have the opportunity to acquire him via the August Monthly Quests so one does not need to actually roll him.
Wedding Scheat- A
Active: Change left-most column into Light orbs and the right-most column into Heart orbs. Increase skyfall chance of Light orbs by 15% for 4 turns. (10 turn CD)
Leader Skill: God & Machine type cards HP x1.5, ATK x3. All attribute cards ATK x2.5 when reaching 2 set of Light combos. ATK x1 for each additional combo, up to ATK x3.5 when reaching 3 combos.
Awakenings:
Worth trading for via Monster Exchange? No
Super Awakenings:
Pros |
Cons |
Wedding Scheat comes back to North America with a brand new evolution that enables her to become Limit Broken and gain a 6th TPA . This gives her amazing damage potential when matching 4 connected Light orbs (somewhat as well with Water) but unfortunately, TPA has lower value at this point in time.
TPA requires 4 connected orbs and unless all cards have this awakening, the total damage can be lower for the team, especially when it negatively impacts combo count. This would occur when there are 6 or 9 Light orbs as the TPA card will form 1 less Combo. Furthermore, each additional combo adds 25% damage so the total team output may be lower, especially if only one card has TPA. Building upon this, most teams are built around 7 Combo awakenings.
As such, it become an issue of finding a desirable home for Wedding Scheat and her best fit would be on Myr teams. This is because Myr teams are often built around TPAs as both leaders have several along with the leader skill not being tied to combo count. Outside of this, Wedding Scheat may find merit in niche situations such Ranking Dungeons where 1 combo reigns supreme as the single TPA may be able to sweep a floor.
Bride Rushana (New) – A
Active: Recover 40% of max HP. Change top-most row into Wood orbs. (7 turn CD)
Leader Skill: Change the board to 7×6 size. Increases time limit of orb movement by 5 seconds. ATK x2.5 for clearing each Water, Wood or Light orbs in a cross formation.
Awakenings:
Worth trading for via Monster Exchange? No
Super Awakenings: None (Cannot be Limit Broken)
Pros |
Cons |
|
Wedding Rushana is an interesting card as she is able to fulfill several different roles.
As a sub, her triple Skill Boost can can greatly aid in charging up actives along with having a low base CD active to inherit over. Furthermore, she grants Wood teams a viable Void Damage Penetration
option as she has reasonably high personal damage which can be amplified via Killer latents.
As a leader, Wedding Rushana comes with a natural 7×6 board which is perfect for Colour Cross teams. By playing with 42 instead of 30 orbs, players are able to form significantly more crosses along with having a much higher chance of having 2 to activate from a given board. While the +5 seconds to move orbs is nice, the lack of any defensive multiplier can be a hindrance which may make Wedding Rushana a prime target for 7×6 Leader Swapping.
The idea with Leader Swapping is that one enters the dungeon with a 7×6 leader and then use something like Macha to swap in a stronger leader. Amusingly enough, Wedding Rushana’s ideal pairing is her farmable form as the 2x HP helps provide enough durability to tank larger hits.
Bride Raijin (New) – B
Active: No skyfall combos for 1 turn. Removes lock status on orbs. Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Wood & Light & Dark & Heart orbs (7 turn CD)
Leader Skill: No skyfall matches. Attacker type cards ATK x6. All attribute cards ATK x4 when attacking with 5 of following orb types: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, Dark & Heart.
Awakenings:
Worth trading for via Monster Exchange? No
Super Awakenings: None (Cannot be Limit Broken)
Pros |
Cons |
|
|
Wedding Raijin is able to provide a bit of everything but does not excel at any particular niche and is an unfortunate case of trying to be a Jack-of-all-Trades. Having only a single 7 Combo is nothing special for a FUA
card and the active skill is similar to her REM form.
By tacking on a No Skyfall clause, the active is able to charge up 1 turn faster, but this can harm max damage potential but may also provide a source of damage control while also remove hazards.
As a whole, Wedding Raijin does most things well, but nothing amazing.
7 star base
Wedding Satsuki – C
Active: Change Water, Jammer, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Light orbs. Reduces cooldown of other skills by 1 turn (7 turn CD)
Leader Skill: Dragon & Attacker type cards ATK x3.5, RCV x1.5.
Pros |
Cons |
|
|
Wedding Satsuki did receive a buff to her awakenings but she is unfortunately lackluster overall. With only 790 weighted stats, is it hard to justify using as a sub and her active skill is low value overall. As such, she will most likely be a pretty Box Cheerleader.
Wedding Persephone – C
Active: Ignore enemy attribute damage absorb effects for 1 turn ( does not include combo shield, damage absorb shield, and damage void ). Change Fire & Heart orbs to Dark orbs (16 turn CD)
Leader Skill: Dark attribute cards HP x1.5, ATK x1.5, RCV x1.5. All attribute cards ATK x3 when reaching Dark & Light combos
Pros |
Cons |
|
|
Wedding Persephone was originally quite unique as the pool of Colour Absorb Voids was quite small; however, GungHo has released numerous more and Wedding Persephone is no special.
As a whole, Colour Absorb Void is niche at best as there are few spawns where it is desired as it only prevents bosses from absorbing damage against a specific colour (eg. Machine Hera and Machine Goemon). Thus, when using a Colour Absorb Void, finding a desirable secondary effect is important and Wedding Persephone’s double orb changer may ruin activation for many teams.
Another problematic aspect for Wedding Persephone is that 17% of the player base will have Sleipnir who can also Void Colour Absorbs.
6 star base
All cards in the 4, 5, and 6-star category have far too low weighted stats to justify using as a sub/leader and their sections will only include a Pros/Cons along with description of their active skill.
Wedding Ra – C
Active: Deal 77777 damage to all enemies. Ignore enemy element and defense. Increases time limit of orb movement by 3 seconds for 1 turn (7 turn CD)
Pros |
Cons |
|
Wedding Bastet – C
Active: All attacks become multi-target for 3 turns. Increases time limit of orb movement by 2 seconds for 1 turn. (4 turn CD)

Wedding Akechi – C
Active: Change Fire orbs to Light orbs, Water orbs to Heart orbs. Enhance Light orbs. +6% per orb, up to +180% for full board. (8 turn CD)

Wedding Ruka – D
Active: Change Fire, Dark, Poison & Mortal Poison orbs to Heart orbs. Bind recovery for 3 turns. (7 turn CD)

Conclusion
The June Bride REM is one of the weakest events in Puzzle and Dragons. For the average player, you do not need any of the cards to truly succeed and the vast majority of the rolls are simple trophies. With this in mind, I strongly encourage players to skip this event, save your stones, and do not Monster Exchange for any of the pretty girls.
Let me know what you think about the June Bride in the comments below.
Happy Puzzling!

I Hope next Time, they get rid of Sopdet & Izamami from June Bride so we can get at least a Gold Egg or Higher

Well they did remove 3 silvers =D
Izanami is actually an amazing silver egg, but silvers have no place in this day and age

Hey mantastic, loyal reader here. I just wanted to say thanks for always publishing articles for sheep like me. 🙂 also, just wanted to say that whrn you explain what a super awoken/level limit breakthrough is, you state “the cards level will be blue instead of white,” basically. But thats only when the monster is max levelled. Just didnt want people to not level up their monsters or pursue level limits because they dont see that its blue when not maxed. Anyways, thanks again, and keep pn keepin on.

dark athena teams are still common enough for persephone to be useful
also, her cooldown is down to 11 now, which is more assist friendly than before

That is a good point about the cd buff, but it is still a pretty niche effect overall
I have owned a colour absorb void for a while and hardly find myself needing to use it

I don’t disagree that you don’t really need one, but having the luxury in your back pocket is nice for the occasional monthly quest dungeon

I actually think you may have Wedding Satsuki undervalued. I’ve been using her for a long time on my Yog team. Her active skill is up early and often, and speeds up all other active skills. It’s also a good one to inherit over if needed. I don’t think her stats are all that bad, especially with the Team HP awakenings. And while TPA is pretty irrelevant these days, if you’re just farming, it can mean matching a single 4 light orbs instead of two pairs of three sometimes to clear a floor. That said, I don’t need three of her gotcha gods 😛
LikeLike
Well if starved for orbs, having 6 means no TPA so that could be problematic
I feel the main issue is if one had more options in their monster box, they would not use Wedding Satsuki

That’s fair. I’ve probably just been using her so long I haven’t realized I’ve got better options. I used to use two for speed, at least I’m down to one. 😀

yeah wedding satsuki is old and it is quite easy to forget to change teams when they are working already =)

An earned roll amazingly got me a Bride Rushana. Don’t now as i will actually use her much, but 8* don’t drop in your lap often. Wish i could have saved that luck for a better event.

After completing the tournament dungeon once, the free REM roll got me…Raijin! I was so shocked! It’s a shame she’s not the best ever but this is, I kid you not, my first ever Dark Kali active (excluding things like Chocobo). My super godfest results were so utterly pitiable it at least cheered me up a bit :^)
