New GFE + Exchange Medal + 10 Magic Stone Super Godfest – April 2021

Introduction

Today marks the debut of three new 7-star Godfest Exclusives (GFE) who will be available through the current Super Godfest. Furthermore, all players who log in between April 16 – May 9 will receive a special 9-Year Anniversary Medal which can be exchanged for one of the three new GFE .

This means players can choose their most desired card and not have to gamble with rolling or spending Magic Stones. As such, the question of who to choose will be on the forefront many player’s minds and there is no easy answer as all three provide value in their own way. Building upon this, if you are unable to make a decision, there is no rush as once you acquire the Exchange Medal, it does not expire. This means you can wait and see if your Box develops in a particular way which in turn makes one choice better overall. Finally, players who are at or near Rank 1000 will eventually receive the Rank 1000 machine in a future update (soonish) where 3/5 cards available are these new 7-star Godfest Exclusives.

Regardless of all this, I will be taking a closer look at each of the new 7-star GFEs to give players a better idea of how to use them in hopes of making a meaningful decision for their Exchange Medal.

Finally, this article will also take a look at the current Super Godfest as it does feature quite a lucrative line up with notable collateral benefits for newer players.

New Godfest Exclusives

The 9-Year Anniversary Medal can be Monster Exchanged for one of the three new GFEs and once this Medal is in your Monster Box, it will not expire which means you can wait and see how your Box develops if none of the three options are appealing right now. This approach is what I use for the majority of the previous Exchange events as none of those cards held enough appeal at the time and allowed me to favourably Exchange when I had a true dedicated use for them.

One important aspect to each of these cards is that their Base form is a sub-attribute only card. This means that their final attack will occur after all primary attributes have attacked along with retaining their full damage output as a sub-attribute.

This has some interesting applications with the most notable use being able to successfully use the Colour Absorb and Damage Absorb Super Latent. This works by having them as a Friend leader as their attack will be the final hit for 100% damage which means that these Latents can potentially save active skill slots. Sadly, this only works as a Friend leader as these latents will have significantly less value for you unless you can ensure they are the final hit (eg. Friend leader has no sub attribute).

Priscilla

Pros
Cons
  • Sub attribute only card
    • Can potentially abuse Colour/Damage Absorb Latent
  • 3 turn active
    • No Skyfalls for 3 turns
    • Unlock
    • Generate 5 Fire orbs
    • Easy to inherit over
  • 3 Enhanced Fire Combos
    • Significant Passive Damage
  • 3 SB Skill Boost without SA
  • Valuable Super Awakenings
  • Strong personal damage
    • 45
  • No Skyfalls for 3 turns is a pseudo self-debuff
  • LS has lower multipliers
    • Needs Healing Solution
    • Lower ATK
    • Won’t outpace current options

Base Priscilla is a sub-attribute only card that comes with impressive Passive Damage via 3 Enhanced Fire Combos , solid personal damage through 7 45 and 10 Combo, along with a low base cooldown and valuable Super Awakenings.

If choosing the SB+ , she comes up to 5 Skill Boosts and her three turn cooldown means she can easily inherit a Delay like Red Shelling Ford . His Skill Boost and 4 turn Delay enables Priscilla to have 10 Effective Skill Boosts which will make Transforming or Leader Swapping significantly easier.

As a leader, her ATK multiplier is quite low along with requiring a Healing Solution and will not outpace current options. With that being said, perhaps using her a Friend Leader with the Damage or Colour Absorb Latents may be cool, but I feel difficult to truly take advantage of.

Taking all of this into consideration, I feel Base Priscilla can function as a respectable mono Fire sub who can leverage their low cooldown to inherit a key active based on your needs.

Priscilla Evo

Pros
Cons
  • Outstanding VDP damage vs Gods
    • God Killer God Killer
  • Valuable active
    • 75% Damage Reduction for 1 turn
    • 2x ATK for Fire & Light
    • 7 turn CD
  • Valuable Super Awakenings
  • 2-4 SB Skill Boost
  • God Killers have less value right now
    • Current end game dungeons seldom feature God type
  • Lacking personal damage without 10 combos or 3×3 Box
  • Active only truly shines in WoC2
    • Damage Reduction not needed in other content
  • LS requires 2 specific colours
    • No System available
    • Damage Reduction depends on Fire + Light match
    • Lower ATK multiplier

Priscilla’s Evolved form features outstanding personal damage against God spawns when matching a VDP and hitting 10 Combos . This will be difficult to achieve without 7×6 or heavy bonus Combo leaders along with God spawns being relatively rare.

Presently speaking, the only notable God spawns are the MP Dragons in WoC2 and the MP Dragons in AA4. AA4 should not be too big of a hurdle with current options which means Alt. WoC2 is the only notable place to take advantage of her offensive might. Thankfully, her active skill is well suited for this dungeon as Damage Reduction is needed to counter the large unavoidable hits found throughout.

With that being said, this is a relatively niche usage as few players are able to attempt Alt. WoC2 successfully which in turn potentially lowers her value. Furthermore, the other Evolved GFE featured here may have better applications as they share a similar template to Priscilla.

Klaus

Pros
Cons
  • Sub attribute only card
    • Can potentially abuse Colour/Damage Absorb Latent
  • 3 turn active
    • No Skyfalls for 3 turns
    • Unlock
    • Generate 5 Water orbs
    • Easy to inherit over
  • 3 Enhanced Water Combos
    • Significant Passive Damage
  • 3 SB Skill Boost without SA
  • Valuable Super Awakenings
    •
  • Strong personal damage
    • 45
  • HOT
    • OOoooooooowooooo
  • No Skyfalls for 3 turns is a pseudo self-debuff
  • LS has lower multipliers
    • Needs Healing Solution
    • Lower ATK
    • Won’t outpace current options

Klaus probably puts the Stud in Study and his radiance is so dazzling it completely mesmerized my Twitch Twitch stream while writing this:

Hotness aside, Base Klaus follows a nearly identical template to Base Priscilla with the main notable changes being higher RCV for Klaus, the option of Super Poison instead of Super Blind , and being Water-based.

As a whole, Klaus can function as a respectable mono Water sub but I feel he is too RCV-heavy and a little too light on HP. This is because the majority of Water teams right now have copious amounts of Healing and the main issue becomes having enough bulk to withstand damage. This may be a small nit pick, but it may influence your decision of who to use as a sub. Furthermore, his Evo form has significant future value.

Klaus Evo

Pros
Cons
  • Outstanding VDP damage vs Dragons
    • Dragon Killer Dragon Killer
    • Significant applications for future WoC3/SR3
    • Notable Mikage sub
  • Valuable active
    • 1 turn Delay
    • Unlock
    • 5 Water, Dark, & Heal orbs
  • Valuable Super Awakenings
    •
  • 2-4 SB Skill Boost
  • Less relevant right now
    • WoC3/SR3 is still a modest ways away
    • Would not Exchange right now as things can change
  • LS requires 2 specific colours
    • No System available
    • Damage Reduction depends on Water + Dark match
    • Lower ATK multiplier

Klaus’s Evo form comes with outstanding personal damage against Dragon spawns which will become highly relevant with the future WoC3/SR3 release at some point down the road. This is because the final boss is an incredibly durable Dragon so having someone who can Damage Cap with ease will be meaningful. Of course, this dungeon has not been released and there is always the possibility of acquiring other strong solutions in the interim.

Another notable use for Klaus is their active skill for Mikage teams due to both the orb generation effect and Unlock ability. This is highly relevant for Mikage as they require 3 Dark Combos to drastically reduce damage and are highly vulnerable otherwise. Thus, the Orb Unlock effect can be a saving grace on poor boards as Mikage’s Spinners would not have any effect.

Taking all of this into consideration, Klaus is a solid long term investment for Mikage players but I would not be too eager to Monster Exchange right now as WoC3 has not been released along with the Exchange Medal not expiring once it is in your Monster Box.

Tuore

Pros
Cons
  • Sub attribute only card
    • Can potentially abuse Colour/Damage Absorb Latent
  • 3 turn active
    • No Skyfalls for 3 turns
    • Unlock
    • Generate 5 Light orbs
      • Possible Ferule alternative
    • Easy to inherit over
  • 3 Enhanced Light Combos
    • Significant Passive Damage
  • 3 SB Skill Boost without SA
  • Valuable Super Awakenings
  • Strong personal damage
    • 45
  • No Skyfalls for 3 turns is a pseudo self-debuff
  • Opportunity cost of not using Evo form
  • LS has lower multipliers
    • Needs Healing Solution
    • Lower ATK
    • Won’t outpace current options

Toure shares nearly the same kit as Base Priscilla and Klaus but is geared towards mono Light. As such, her main function will be leveraging her low cooldown to carry key inherit while also providing strong personal damage and significant Passive Damage. In addition to this, she can be used as an alternative to a dupe Ferule on Ferule teams to help ensure a steady flow of orbs.

With that being said, her Evolved form has tremendous applications at this point in time.

Tuore Evo

Pros
Cons
  • Outstanding VDP damage vs Devils
    • Devil killer Devil killer
    • Significant applications in basically all content
      • Devils are everywhere
  • Incredible active
    • 2x ATK
    • Full Awoken Bind clear
    • Full Unable to Match clear
      • Reasonably future-proof
  • Valuable Super Awakenings
    •
  • 2-4 SB Skill Boost
  • Most universally helpful of the three
  • Does not clear regular Binds
    • Notable issue in WoC2
      • Corrected via an inherit
  • LS requires 2 specific colours
    • No System available
    • Damage Reduction depends on Wood + Light match
    • Lower ATK multiplier
  • Competes against numerous other Cleric options

Tuore’s Evolved form is able to function as a fantastic Cleric option for either mono Wood or mono Light teams while also providing an ATK buff. This is a significant aspect as we are now starting to get Powercrept for options who can remove Binds/Awoken Binds/Unable to Match and are now able to be more picky with any extra effect.

As such, the ATK buff will always be needed in essentially any dungeon as it will overwrite any existing Debuff which in turn helps provide a certain degree of future-proofing for Tuore. This is not a guarantee she will always be relevant, but having an extra and meaningful effect alongside the Cleric aspect is valuable.

With that being said, Toure does compete against numerous other options with SR Ceres just being released and being quite accessible due to her Pantheon status. Of course, her secondary effect is weaker along with having no personal damage. As such, the decision of which Cleric to use comes down to the dungeons at hand and which mechanics you need to counter as the secondary effects will often become the determining factor.

On the other hand, Toure features the best personal damage of all the Cleric options with the ability to Damage Cap with relative ease against Devil spawns. This is incredibly important as Devils are the most common and dangerous spawns at this point in time as WoC1 features a notable 4 Devil floor and Gilles being the final boss in WoC2.

This significant damage aspect can also help alleviate team building stresses as you have another potent VDP option, even against non-Devils.

Super Godfest

Super Godfests will feature a 1/3 chance to acquire any Godfest Exclusive and we can use this as a baseline in which we judge the value of all Super Godfests. With this in mind, what makes a Super Godfest appealing is the what benefits are included such as higher GFE rates, the inclusion of Samurai 3 cards, and if the Pantheon cards come out as Super Reincarnated.

This Super Reincarnated aspect will be a massive boon to newer players as the materials needed to evolved these Pantheon cards will most likely be out of reach and being able to save limited or unavailable resources can be invaluable.

With this in mind, the current Super Godfest features all three of these aspects:

  • 1% REMDra bonus pulls
  • 36% chance for any GFE
  • 5% Samurai 3
  • 4.44% Newly buffed Pantheons
  • 53.7% SR Pantheon

As such, the chance for anything truly great is 42% as I am lumping all of the Pantheons into the less ideal pool. This 42% chance for anything truly valuable greatly exceeds the baseline of 33% of a vanilla Super Godfest.

Taking all of this into consideration, this is a potent event to roll in, especially for newer players as the SR status of the Pantheon cards will be a massive resource saving for both Evolution and Enhance Materials.

Conclusion

New GFEs that come with an Exchangeable Medal are always an exciting time as it gives players the opportunity to acquire a card of their choosing without having to gamble with rolling or community-based voting.

With that being said, the decision of who to Exchange for will come down to your own individual Monster Box and if none of the three seem appealing right now, the best course of action is to simply hold onto the Medal as it does not expire once it is in your Monster Box.

On the other hand, the current Super Godfest features a 42% chance of acquiring bonus rolls, any GFE, or Samurai 3 which is significantly higher compared to a vanilla Super Godfest (33%). Furthermore, the collateral benefits featured here are quite substantial as all the Pantheon cards come out in their SR form.

This leads to a massive resource saving and may enable newer players to acquire evolutions they may not have been able to achieve on their own. As such, I would encourage newer players to roll in this Super Godfest as it will most likely provide the largest upgrade to a more shallow Monster Box.

Regardless of all this, let me know what you think about the new GFEs featured and whether or not you plan on rolling within the current Super Godfest.

  1. I bought the 100 stone, 9 black coins to luck up on Priscilla & Klaus to use the coun on the third one. Plus, U am one GF creature away from having all.

  2. Great write up as always.

How does Tuore stack up vs Alynna on a NYArtemis/Nadeko team?
I have been using NYArtemis/Alynna/Albrecht/Jurond/Nadeko/Nadeko and still find myself at times having to stall for 12+ orbs to do VDP, so the Alynna orb generation was definitely helpful.

    1. Outside of the low HP, Alynna post-buff will probably be stronger assuming you can hit key HP values as the orb generation is key to overcoming Void spawns

I feel that with Alynna and albrecht you will have more than enough orb generation which makes life easier

  3. In future SGF reviews, it would probably be useful (to some) to split the 7 start GFE rates and 6 star GFE rates, since there’s been a huge influx of 6 star GFEs and most of them are no longer desirable.
