Sanrio (Hello Kitty) Collab REM Review – November 2021

Introduction

The Hello Kitty Collab returns to North America for the first time in several years and features numerous buffs for existing cards along with new Kitties to chase.

As a whole, this Collab does not offer much if trying to tackle current end game content (SR2+/MD1+) but instead grants players numerous Farming tools that are truly excellent when used in Solo mode. This is because they provide numerous Dungeon Bonus awakenings which increases the drop chance and values dropped/earned at the end of the Dungeon.

Furthermore, players will have the opportunity to build the easiest to use Training Arena 3 team which is the best place to level up your Monsters (50M Exp per clear).

To sweeten the deal, the Monster Exchange costs are quite favourable as they only require five 6-star GFE which has become quite common for PAD Pass owners.

With that being said, the bottom rarity leaves much to be desired and rolling here may result in many sad but cute cards.

Due to continuing wrist pains, I have only done Pros & Cons for notable cards and skipped the others.

Bottom rarity quick summary

The bottom rarity should be the main motivation to roll in an event and the following chart shows all the 5-star Rankings. In total, they comprise 77.5% of the rolling pool.

Also, the gudetama (A rank) is an Orb Skin which means they have an even lower chance of being rolled compared to the other 5-stars

 Veroah Kitty – S

      • Buttons execute low HP floors & saves time
    • Has minimal value in coop
    • If you Farm your Event Medals via 2p, Veroah Kitty has little use
Madoo, Reeche, Zela Kitty – A

All of these Kitties feature 3 Dungeon Bonus awakenings in their Base forms along with a lower cooldown compared to Greed Dragon which eases team building when Button/Swipe Farming as it is easier to inherit a key active.

6 star base

Charmmy Kitty – A (lower S)
Pros
Cons
  • 6 unique Evolutions
    • At least 1 will probably have value
    • Bigger boon for smaller Boxes
    • Excellent flexibility
  • Orb Skin
    • Can directly purchase
  • 4/5 Evolved forms feature 2 colours
    • Helps in All Attribute dungeons
    • Cannot Monster Exchange
      • Have to IAP or Roll
    • Less value for deeper Boxes
      • Forms may not outpace other options
    • No Weapon

Each evolution mirrors their respective Key Hero without the Transforming aspect which enables them to inherit a key active as needed. One thing to note is that no form has VDP which may be a problem if your team is short on VDP-style damage.

The best form to pursue will be based on your needs and what holes you need to fill.

    • Amazing for Saline Kitty Farming
  • Orb Skin
    • Can directly purchase via IAP
    • Lower base CD
      • May accidentally overcharge
    • Orb Skin
      • Harder to roll

Pros
Cons
  • Outstanding personal damage
    • 45 45 ()
  • 4 SB Skill Boost
  • Full Cleric active
    • Generates a row of Light
    • 10 turn CD
      • Quite long in this day and age
      • May have to rely on a secondary Cleric

Conclusion

The Hello Kitty Collab features numerous Farming solutions for players who play in solo mode due to Dungeon Bonus awakenings. As such, if you find yourself Farming for Event Tokens or Training Arena, this event will have more value.

On the other hand, these cards will mostly be only used for Farming and will not help players tackle end game dungeons (SR2+/MD1+). Furthermore, the bottom rarity is quite underwhelming and I feel that this should be treated as a Monster Exchange only event unless you truly love the art and/or feeling lucky.

Happy Puzzling!
