Fairy Title / Dimension Guide (MD1/Alt. MD1) Mechanics Checklist

Introduction

Puzzle and Dragons is a tremendously deep game that has years worth of content waiting for players. Sadly, there is essentially no in-game information as to what mechanics, spawns, or what can actually happen in a dungeon which in turn creates a terrible guessing game.

Thankfully, we are eventually able to “solve” any dungeon with enough trial and error and for myself, what I find most helpful when trying to tackle a new dungeon is a Checklist of notable mechanics. From this Checklist, I will try my best to address all of the dangerous mechanics while prioritizing unavoidable abilities.

For the Fairy Title Challenge, players will be playing through the Alt. version which provides 4x HP & RCV for Healer or Devil type cards. To compensate for this buff, all Enemies will hit 3.5x harder.

As such, you will need to prioritize cards with these typings, especially if they are your Healing Solution via Enhanced Heart Orbs +heart. Having 1-2 cards without the correct typing still works as many leaders have up to 16x Effective HP. The biggest HP check is the Gems on Floor 10 who have Super Resolve (must tank 1 hit) and hit for a total of 2.1 million per turn.

How to use my checklists

With any dungeon, there are avoidable and unavoidable mechanics and it is important to address the unavoidable mechanics first. As such, there will be a priority-like system when looking at dungeon mechanics and you may have to forgo certain solutions depending on the depth of your Monster Box. Furthermore, certain teams/leaders may naturally counter specific mechanics. Continue reading Fairy Title / Dimension Guide (MD1/Alt. MD1) Mechanics Checklist

Prince of Tennis Collab REM Review – January 2022

Twitter Campaign

If we are able to get the above tweet to 10k likes, all players will receive a free 7/8-star card from the Prince of Tennis Collab.

Introduction

The Prince of Tennis Collab makes their North American debut and features a massive roster of cards who all sport 2 unique Weapon Assists . This gives all cards at least some value and for newer accounts who lack options, many of these cards can be meaningful.

Generally speaking, Weapon Assists tend to be Powercrept the slowest which can give many of these cards a longer shelf life compared to leaders who can tend to be rotated out on a much more frequent basis. With that being said, the Prince of Tennis Collab does not feature any notable leader along with the bottom rarity having much less value for more developed Boxes.

With that being said, I do feel that this Collab is worth at least several rolls due to the large rolling pool which should hopefully lower the chances of duplicates along with many of the 7/8-stars being tremendously valuable.

Due to continuing wrist pains, I have only done Pros & Cons for all the cards.

Question Time With Mantastic – January 2022

Introduction

The general gist of Question Time posts are for players to ask various PAD-related questions that do not have a simple/Google-able answer or related article on my website. I do play other games and have often found myself having specific/unique questions about it but have no where to go and can imagine this may hold true for some of my readers. With that being said, there will be some restrictions on the types of questions I will be answering. If planning on commenting on a regular basis, it is advantageous to create a WordPress account to both receive notifications as well as giving me a point of reference as to who I am responding to.

Do’s and Don’t

download For the most part, almost any question will be answered, even some non-invasive Off-Topic ones; however, it is best to ask questions that require explanation/why/my personal opinion. The following examples are Fantastic types of questions to ask:
  • Of these options, what is the best Yusuke team I can make for Arena 3?
  • What direction do you think GungHo will take with the 4x HP leads?
  • Can Heart Cross teams be revived and if so, how?
x The following types of questions will not be answered by me either because it has a simple Google-able answer or shows a lack of effort on the reader’s part:
  • Anything that Google/Padx can answer
  • A link to your entire Monster Box and saying “make me a team”

Conclusion

I hope my readers use this opportunity to ask questions that will hopefully improve their overall game play and progression. Happy Puzzling!

Which GFE to Choose for your Weekly Medal Exchange – 10 Great Witches

Introduction

Today marks the third 7-star GFE to be handed out to all players for logging in and this round features all 10 Great Witches. But before I go any further, I want to stress that this particular Medal expires on January 9, 2022.

This is different compared to all the other Medals which have no expiration date so just be mindful of this fact. With that being said, I wish to highlight the notable cards and reasons why you should Monster Exchange for them.

Continuing my trend from the beginning of the month, I will be evaluating all the notable Medal options each time they are released.

Christmas REM Review – December 2021

Introduction

The Christmas REM returns once again to North America and comes with festively dressed characters along with various buffs and evolutions for existing cards. In addition to this, there will be three new monsters to potentially acquire.

As a whole, this event is terribly top-heavy as 80.1% of the total rolling pool is comprised of 5/6-star cards who will provide nothing for even a modestly well developed account. This in turn leads me to believe that this is a Monster Exchange/IAP Orb Skin event as we currently have a lucrative Seasonal Super Godfest going on right now along with PCGF in the near future.

Both these Godfests are significantly better places to spend your Magic Stones and if I had to give a TLDR for Christmas, IAP/buy Xiahou Dun (maybe Osiris ), find a friend Menoa to pair with, Monster Exchange for Gremory if you need a stellar Fire Cleric, and maybe Exchange for Selica .

Due to continuing wrist pains, I have only done Pros & Cons for notable cards and skipped the others.

2nd REMDra Fever W – Just Match D/L Rows

Introduction

The REMDra Fever “Ranking” Dungeon returns to North America and gives players a chance to grind for a (cosmetic) Crown by accumulating 999,999 points over any number of runs. While this is exciting, it will take numerous clears to achieve but there are ways to bolster your score to save time, stamina, and mental sanity. Generally speaking, no Water orbs will take less effort overall as it is much easier to achieve a higher combo count due to only 5 possible orb types appearing. Furthermore, the Light Light Row and Dark Rows Dark row(+2,500 pts each) will help hasten this process.

In fact, just matching Rows yields significantly higher scores with relatively little effort and should be taken advantage of a much as possible.

As with all REMDra Fever events, the dungeon is quite lucrative to run over and over again as it only costs 25 stamina and offers valuable drops. In fact, the highly sought after Hera/Zeus Ava Tamas will only be available from clearing this dungeon as they will not be featured in the PEM like last time.

Furthermore, any number of players can achieve a Crown and is not only given to the first X number of players to hit the score cap of 999,999.

This article will explain the rules for REMDra Fever and how to maximize your score potential and how to farm it as efficiently as possible once you are satisfied with your score.

GungHo Collab REM Review – December 2021

Introduction

The GungHo Collab returns once again to North America and features a gigantic rolling roster along with various buffs and new cards to acquire.

Due to the fact that this IP is owned by GungHo, we can safely assume it will return on a regular basis which means the concept of FOMO (fear of missing out) should be lower as this event is featured several times per year.

This is important because we know Draconic Orchestra, Player’s Choice Godfest (PCGF), and possibly the Christmas REM are all on the way soon.

In addition to this, I personally feel that the GungHo Collab is becoming more of an Orb Skin event as the strongest cards featured here are Orb Skins which can be directly purchased via IAP, but cannot be Monster Exchanged for.

This can feel frustrating as Monster Exchanging is often the best practice when approaching a weaker event or an event where you have already rolled heavily.

Due to continuing wrist pains, I have only done Pros & Cons for notable cards and skipped the others.

Which GFE to Choose for your Weekly Medal Exchange – Valkyrie, Zeus, & Athena

Introduction

Monday marks the second 7-star GFE to be handed out to all players for logging in and this round features Valkyrie Ciel , Zeus Giga , and Athena Non .

All three of these cards have received/will be receiving new and powerful evolutions which greatly increases their potential and value. Unfortunately, all of these spicy new evolutions are locked behind challenging dungeons which may be too difficult for the average player to clear.

With this in mind, I would not Monster Exchange for anything until you actually have the Evolution materials. Remember, once you have the Medal in your Monster Box, it never expires so you can simply sit on it until you know for certain that that particular card will be a massive boon to your Monster Box.

Continuing my trend from the beginning of the month, I will be evaluating all the notable Medal options each time they are released.

Which GFE to Choose for your Weekly Medal Exchange – Fagan Rai & Zaerog Core

Introduction

GHNA continues the PAD Appreciation Celebration by giving all players 4 special Medals that can be Monster Exchanged for various 7-star GFE. This is incredibly exciting as 7-star GFE are arguably the most valuable cards in the game as they can be used as leaders, subs, inherits, or Trade Fodder.

Furthermore, GH tends to give these cards the most love with regular buffs and new evolutions that can potentially push them back into the meta spotlight. As such, it is in your best interest to choose the card that is best for you but to also remember that these Medals do not expire.

This means you should not Monster Exchange until you know you have a dedicated use for that respective card as it feels pretty terrible making a hasty trade only to realize you need a different card badly a few weeks down the road.

As a general rule, it is almost always best to acquire a card you have never owned before as it may open up new possibilities as each card is unique.

With this in mind, I will be going over all the notable Medal options each week when they are released.
