Autumn Equinox Godfest Review and Analysis

Godfest basics

When making the decision to roll or save your magic stones, you need to determine if the featured pantheons can benefit or complement your teams. Chasing for one specific monster is unwise as you will most likely be disappointed and should ideally have Godfests that overlap with many target cards. Remember all monsters that come out of the REM will qualify for Skill Inheritance so do not be too hasty when selling dupes. For a more detailed team building help, please refer to my Popular Leader’s and their Full Sub List Post which is in the process of being updated. Lastly, to find more information about a specific pantheon or monster, refer to my Master List to better refine your search. If you are considering to purchase any of the Monster Point cards, please refer to my updated Tier List for help and advice.

Introduction

The Autumn Equinox Godfest features 6x rates for Pantheon and GFE cards along with an overlapping guaranteed 5-star Carnival. This means that every roll will result in a gold or diamond egg; however, you can still acquire evolved forms of silver, but this is a meaningful boost overall.

In addition, all rolls will come with +50 to a random stat. If you wish to read more about Ney, please refer to my full review HERE.

On a sidenote, I am horribly swamped in real life due to packing and moving in a few weeks along with trying to find a new place to live so this article will be somewhat brief.

Ranking the cards – Pantheons & GFE

These rankings I assign cards are my own and take into consideration the card’s value as a leader, sub, inherit, and possibly any niche role they fulfill. In order to rank in the highest tier, the card has to excel in their respective role and cannot feasibly be replaced by anyone else. This can also be thought of as a Best in Slot card and tends to have applications on the top tier teams.

Despite my best to remain neutral, there is always the potential for bias and you need to be able to examine a card and determine if it can benefit your unique Monster Box and situation. Continue reading Autumn Equinox Godfest Review and Analysis

Introduction

The Monster Bootcamp Part 2 Godfest features the first 7x rates for GFE as well as the debut of Ney .

Ney is a brand new 6-star GFE who features the first ever 5-evolution path that results in a uniquely powerful card who can be utilized by every single player. I go into more detail about Ney in my full review HERE.

Unfortunately, this Godfest features no additonal Plus Eggs with each roll and instead all cards come out at level 50. To poorly entice players, each roll will come with 1 free Tamadra. Finally, there will be no featured Pantheon cards which may result in overall lower rates for featured cards.

Introduction

The Monster Bootcamp Part 1 Godfest features the first 6x rates for Pantheons and GFE along with actually featuring powerful cards overall.

Furthermore, each roll will yield +50 to a random stat as well as appearing at level 50.

In addition, Day 1 will feature a complimentary Tamadra with each roll (hooray?) while Day 2 will coincide with the Wisedragons and Heroic Warriors Carnival. This Carnival will feature 2x rates for the following cards:

  Heroic Warriors

Wise Dragons (5x burst for respective colour)

Regardless, the collateral perks on either day are slim to say the least and all the focus will be on the truly exciting Pantheon and GFE line up.

Introduction

The Flight of the Dragon Lords Godfest features the first ever 6x GFE rates for NA/EU along with +50 to a random stat to all rolls. While 6x is a new milestone, it comes with no featured pantheons along with a questionable 2x rates carnival.

However, GungHo will also be tempting players with two brand new Godfest Exclusives: Cthugha  and the all mighty Yog-Sothoth .

While Cthugha offers an interesting kit, the real prize and focus will be on Yog-Sothoth who is capable of leading one of the strongest teams in the game that has a low skill cap, modest orb requirements, and outrageous damage potential combined with a defensive multiplier.

Introduction

The Anime Expo Godfest comes this Friday to NA/EU and will also be debuting a brand new pantheon and GFE. Furthermore, all featured cards will be available at 5x rates along with +25 to each stat (+75 total) to every roll.

However, the only pantheon featured will be the new Samurai Series 2 who have 6-star base values which will inevitably lower their overall rates. In addition, non-featured GFE will not appear on those respective days.

10-Stone GFE Rare Egg Machine Review Plus New Split Evolutions

 Introduction

The 10-Stone Godfest Exclusive Machine is returning to NA/EU and it offers players the chance to spent 10 Magic Stones for a guaranteed GFE. This means no filler silvers or troll golds and every roll will be at least 15,000 Monster Points. As such, this is the highest per roll if you are purely chasing Monster Points along with potentially the best chance at acquiring 6-Stars.

Puzzle and Dragons has been decreasing the dependency of solely using 6-star GFE through the current top tier leaders being more forgiving and utilizing pantheon cards. However, there are many active skill that cannot be replicated any other way. Furthermore, JP has released brand new split evolutions for 7 GFE cards which dramatically improve their viability and uses.

This article will present my tier list that includes the new JP evolutions along with a small write up for each card.

GFE tier list

All tier lists will have a certain degree of bias whether it is accidental or by design and mine is no exception. I try my best to evaluate each card based on their value as a leader, sub, inherit, or niche applications. It also does it’s best to take into consideration the newly announced/released evolutions in JP. Thus, you should take them with a grain of salt and use them as a beginning reference point.

If a card has a split evolution, both are taken into consideration as they have different merits/strengths. Ney  is not included but will be an easy S once she does debut (really should have a tier all to herself due to the sheer power, but that is for another post).

Order within each tier is random and not reflective of power in any way. Continue reading 10-Stone GFE Rare Egg Machine Review Plus New Split Evolutions

Thoughts on Player’s Choice Godfest Results – May 2017

Introduction

Player’s Choice Godfest (PCGF) voting has come to a close with the results revealed in the latest GungHo NA stream. While PCGF can be an exciting time, it also has the opportunity for dissapointment due to poor voting choices of excessive 6-star GFE and even missing some key pantheon cards due to the votes not being made public. This was most notable last PCGF when we had eleven 6-star GFE (full post can be found HERE) and the surprising absence of Ganesha 3071.

Voting in too many 6-star GFE is problematic as it dilutes the pool of desired monsters as they have depressingly low roll rates but it was honestly bad timing in terms of what was current in the meta. Thankfully, the meta is shifting away from 6-star supremecy and Pantheon cards are now the key cards for many top tier teams.

This post will go over my thoughts and commentary for each voted card along with notable cards along with those who I felt should have made it in.

To sweeten the deal, all players above rank 50 will receive 1 free pull. Official announcement can be found HERE.

The results

Keeping the trend of hiding the votes (and not even disclosing the actual numbers) removes the chance for strategic voting as you run the risk of a popular card not making it in if you simply assume everyone will vote for them. This probably made many votes go to waste on already shoe-in winners.

Winners are in order from left to right:

Player’s Choice Godfest May 2017
1-5  3414
6-10 Indra Dark Kali 3385  3071
11-15 A Liu Bei 3386 3416 Bankai Andro Isis
16-20 Lumiel Eschamali 3233
21-25 3236 3273 3202

By comparison to the last PCGF, we only have six 6-star GFE as opposed to eleven. along with no 5-star GFE. However, there are Continue reading Thoughts on Player’s Choice Godfest Results – May 2017

Player’s Choice Godfest Voting Advice, May 15-22, 2017

Don’t Vote Godfest Exclusives

or else…

Video commentary

—video goes here–

Why

Player’s Choice Godfests (PCGF) are some of the most exciting events Puzzle and Dragons as it grants everyone to make their voice heard to create a special pool of monsters with increased rates.

Unfortunately, it also has the potential to turn into a disaster through the voting of Godfest Exclusives. Despite the fact that the top 25 cards will be featured at higher rates (or actually available for GFE), they are not weighted evenly.
