Day 1:
Day 1 features some of the most powerful subs in Puzzle and Dragons who bring a mixture of utility and sheer power in their actives and awakenings. The Greco-Roman 2 all have amazing double orb changer that convert 2 other orbs into their primary colour. Furthermore, their entire pantheon is in the process of receiving Awoken Evolutions which push their base stats and actives into new territory by granting them an enhanced skyfall mechanic for 2 turns. Furthermore, all of the Greco-Roman 2 monsters have 2+ viable evolution paths so their flexibility is unsurpassed. The Three Kingdoms have more diversified actives that fulfil many roles and with the new awakenings buff, some have 2 viable evolutions. In addition, DQ
will be reunited with her sister to form a newly announced Awoken evolution that caps at 100x damage. Overall a great day to roll if you are looking to bolster your mono colour teams.

Ares

God / Physical

—

8 turn CD |
Ares is one hot fire team sub and was once crowned the title of highest ATK base stats in the game. However, time has seen his place shifted around to his current form of a fire row powerhouse. Furthermore, with his god typing, he makes an incredible Shiva Dragon sub. Unfortunately, Ares is unable to be as well utilized on other top fire teams such as Awoken Shiva or Gadius as he will either create too many fire orbs and prevent sufficient combos or remove heart orbs.
On the bright side for Awoken Shiva teams, Ares just had an Awoken Evolution announced (no icon yet). This will grant him Devil / Attacker typing and causing him to become TPA oriented with massive base attack and an enhanced fire skyfall active in conjunction with double orb change. This is also great news for teams as the double orb change helps flood the board with fire orbs. Unfortunately, this will remove his presence on Shiva Dragon teams so exercise caution before committing. I will also do his own special post comparing his evolutions at a later date. |
Hermes

God / Attacker

—-

God / Physical

8 turn CD
—-
Awoken Hermes

Devil / Attacker

—-
+ 2 turn water skyfall
8 turn CD |
Hermes is one of the few monsters that has 3 unique and powerful options for evolution trees (which I will be covering in a more extensive post). The decision of which evolution boils down to the type of leader you are using.
- B/D
is best on Neptune Dragon teams
- B/L
is a physical Blue Sonia sub (or Neptune Dragon )
- Awoken
for every other water team except for Neptune Dragon and Blue Sonia
Regardless of which evolution path you choose, all the Hermi (Hermeses?) are outstanding mono water team subs on row based teams as his active overflows the board with your desired water orbs and can be combo-ed with nearly every full board changer to generate a 2/3 water board. |
Awoken Artemis

Attacker/ Devil

—-
+ 2 turn wood skyfall
8 turn CD
—-

God / Attacker

—-

8 turn CD |
Artemis is still in an awkward position even with her branched evolution tree. Her double orb changer is similar to Australis and Liu Bei , but she cannot as easily be placed on any team as both those counterparts do their job better.
Australis has 5 awakenings and a more powerful active as her skyfall buff lasts for 4 turns. Liu Bei has 3 TPA awakenings and by default hits harder (maybe the skyfall mechanic negates this). Regardless, playing Artemis on a TPA oriented combo team such as Awoken Bastet is problematic due to overflowing the board with too many wood orbs and potentially causing you to be unable to form 7+ combos required for full leader skill activation. You can arguably use Awoken Artemis as a leader on her own to form a 4x HP / 16x ATK team but must work around awkwardly matching water and wood orbs.
However, one thing Awoken Artemis shines at is being an Awoken Astaroth sub as her team is normally quite restrictive in their sub choices.
For further reading as to which Artemis evolution is best for you, please read my full analysis HERE.

Apollo

God / Attacker

—-

8 turn CD
—-
Awoken Apollo

Healer / Attacker

—-
+ 2 turn light skyfall
8 turn CD |
L/B Apollo is a fantastic light row sub for Saria / Thor teams as his active floods the board with numerous light orbs and almost always ensures you can manufacture 2 unique rows. Furthermore, his dual orb changing capabilities allow him to combo with most full board changers. Unfortunately, a lack of SBR or time extend diminish his utility value.
On the other hand, Awoken Apollo is quite the horny and majestic unicorn (seriously, his art is just mind-boggling) and appears to have less synergy with most teams as he lost his row enhances. The strange part of the entire Greco-Roman pantheon’s active favours row formation due to flooding the board with their respective colour. Regardless, gains the healer typing and opens options to be used on Awoken Ama , Light Metatron , and Light Zhuge Liang teams. In addition, the new wood typing means Awoken Sakuya teams do not need to bring a wood sub and may ease team building. Of course, the overflow of light orbs may make it problematic to adequately combo, but can be used after Light Kali ‘s active to ensure a more combo friendly board. Furthermore, the enhanced skyfall mechanic may add lethal amounts of additional damage. |
Persephone

God / Healer

—-

God / Devil

—-

8 turn CD
—- |
Persephone was far prettier in her dark/fire form and is only evolved to dark/wood because of the additional awakenings and most notably 2 . In addition, the 2 awakenings add significant increase to healing that should not be overlooked. Furthermore, the enhanced heal orbs will be converted into enhanced dark orbs. Row based teams love actives that can flood the board with dark orbs and is an amazing candidate. Main drawback are a lack of awakening and may place constraints on team building along with no devil typing. This changes with the evolution at the cost of 2 and .
However, Awoken Persephone (no icon at the moment) was just announced in JP and brings yet another tough decision to make in terms of viable evolution paths. I will be making a special follow up post at a future date with her pros and cons, but I will just leave you with her becoming Attacker / Devil typing and being orb enhance and TPA reliant. |

Notes |
Cao Cao

Dragon / Attacker

–—

Attacker / God

—

1 turn delay
9 turn CD |
Cao Cao is an incredibly powerful mono fire sub due to his active combining an orb change and delay along with synergistic awakenings. is best matched with Awoken Shiva due to the heavy reliance on TPA awakenings. However, you can still use him to great success on Gadius and Raoh teams due to the single awakening and being the only high end delay fire monsters have.
One thing to keep in mind is that his other evolution will gain Dragon Killer and another awakening which is more suitable to fire row teams (who still need a good leader) along with God typing (which mean Shiva Dragon sub potential). |
Sun Quan

Dragon / Healer

—-

God / Healer

2 turn delay, 2x ATK Healer types for 2 turns
13 turn CD |
Sun Quan is a powerful and highly desired sub as he can cover the awkward water and wood elements on rainbow teams along with providing 2 turns of delay. The 2x damage for healers is simply icing on the cake. With the advent of awakenings buff, his other evolution has relevance due to possessing a skill lock resist and dragon killer awakenings along with regaining the god typing. This is important for Neptune Dragon , Awoken Ra , and Ra Dragon teams as the added god typing allows you to benefit from their full leader skill.
Sun Quan is also an excellent candidate for skill inheritance as the delay can prove invaluable.
|
Liu Bei

Dragon / Attacker

—-

God / Attacker

—-
+ 3,000 HP heal
10 turn CD |
Liu Bei was once regarded as a superstar wood sub when Awoken Bastet reigned supreme. However, his star has fallen quite far from grace and now is in an awkward position due to his awakenings and active synergy. The 3 is incredible for burst potential when using TPA oriented teams; however, Liu Bei’s active makes TPA combo arrangements challenging because of the chance of wood overflow. A double orb changer is better suited to oriented teams, but his awakenings puts him behind when compared to Australis or G/D Artemis .
Regardless, Liu Bei’s active is a great candidate for skill inheritance and can still be successfully used, just no longer the best of his category. |
Da Qiao

Dragon / Healer

—-
Xiao Qiao

God / Healer

—-

8 turn CD |
Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao desperately needs an awoken evolution to reunite the two sisters. Regardless, is a powerhouse mono light sub due to synergistic awakenings and complimenting active. She finds an ideal home on Saria / Thor teams and can also act as a pseudo bind clearer through and a row of hearts provided she herself is not bound. can also be found on Awoken Ama or any other healer team as a staple sub.
For beginner players, either evolution (although is slightly stronger due to healer HP multiplier) DQXQ is a fantastic starting leader who will teach you comboing skills and provide a steady 16x multiplier. You can also mix and match with other rainbow leads to augment your damage output at the cost of a harder to activate multiplier. A solid monster overall.
Lastly, DQXQ will be receiving an Awoken evolution which propels her leadership potential into top tier as she caps out at 100x damage. |
Lu Bu

God / Devil

—-
2.5x ATK for devils. HP set to 1
12 turn CD |
Chaotic Flying General, Lu Bu has a fantastic name and as he leaps into battle on your strongest dark teams. Dark row teams are making a resurgence in popularity with Awoken Lucifer and Awoken Pandora teams as the largest single turn nuke (aside from King Baddie ).
As a leader, can be paired with Red Sonia to form a 1.35x HP / 11.25x ATK / 2.5x RCV and was once the most popular tank team a year ago. Granted there are stronger options currently available, but this team still works wonders and can clear plenty of content. |
Day 2:
Day 2 has a less powerful combination as the Greco Roman 1 gods are quite dated because they were some of the first gods to receive an awoken evolution. This has left them vulnerable to powercreep, but have the potential to fill niche roles on certain teams. Furthermore their ability to reduce damage by 75% from 3 attributes can be useful in certain dungeons. On the otherhand, the Hero’s pantheon continues to be one of the strongest as they all make outstanding subs on their respective mono colour teams. Furthermore, Awoken Pandora
is now regarded as one of the best leads in the game and having dupes is ideal.
Greco Roman 1 |

Notes |
Minerva

Dragon / Devil

—
& reduce defence by 50% for 2 turns
5 turn CD |
Awoken Minerva can make apperances on Awoken Shiva , Raoh , and Gadius teams as her 5-turn orb changer can be used to add extra firepower. Unfortunately, that mostly what you will treat her as until you find a more exciting sub to replace her. Perhaps she needs a buff/rework to take her out of mediocrity and push her back into a higher tier of usefulness.
As a leader, forms a 6.25x team that reduces all Fire, Light, and Dark damage by 75%. Niche uses but worth mentioning as she is one of the stronger lead potentials in the Greco-Roman 1 pantheon due to the abundance of fire row subs.
|
Neptune

Attacker / Devil

10x ATK poison, 2.5x ATK Attacker & Devils
15 turn CD |
I want to write something positive about Awoken Neptune but keep getting drowned in his lack of uses. Even the puns are not a splashing success. I guess he has a mini-me form hiding in the scary blue waters so that is something interesting to look at.
Bad jokes aside, the main problem with Awoken Neptune is a lack of viable uses and the fact his active combines 2 different elements ruins his potential as the cooldown is excessively long. If he only had a poison effect, he could be used for Skill Inheritance, but at 15 turns, he will most likely be passed over for better options.
As a leader, forms a 6.25x team that reduces all Water, Light, and Dark damage by 75%. Niche uses but worth mentioning.
|
Ceres

Balance / Devil

—-
Recover 30% max HP & clear 3 turns of monster binds
10 turn CD |
Awoken Ceres is an often overlooked bind clearing sub. Her awakenings offer a healthy mixture of utility and some offensive capabilities. However, with the introduction of more leaders being bind immune, the dependency on bind immune-bind clearers is at an all time low. However, can still find a home on Sylvie / Awoken Freyja teams where the 30% base health heal will have even more potency due to the augmented health pool.
Unfortunately, ‘s use on rainbow teams is diminished due to her only covering a single colour.
As a leader, forms a 6.25x team that reduces all Wood, Light, and Dark damage by 75%. Niche uses but worth mentioning. |
Venus

Devil / Healer

—-
& 2+ seconds to move orbs
4 turn CD |
Awoken Venus received some tweaks to her active skill in JP and will be using that information as the changes will take place in NA soon. A 4-turn orb enhance active combined with 2 additional seconds to move orbs ensure you will deal explosive burst damage. Looking at her awakenings, Venus finds herself most at home on light row based teams with special mention going to Saria / Thor . You can abuse the low cooldown to trigger the additional damage from the leader skill more often should you wish to conserve your other abilities.
Looking at her healer typing, can excel on Awoken Ama , Light Metatron , and Light Zhuge Liang teams. You can also combo Venus’s active with Valkyrie every 5 turns for wonderful burst damage.
As a leader, forms a 6.25x team that reduces all Water, Light, and Dark damage by 75%. Niche uses but worth mentioning. |
Hades

Devil / Attacker

—-
25% gravity & +5s movement time
12 turn CD
|
Gravity is starting to come back into style as many of the strongest monsters in the game have resolve or gigantic health pools. Gravity works by instantly removing a percentage (in this case 25%) of the boss’s current health. This can be used to push them into specific health percentages to avoid dangerous mechanics or to move below 50% to change them into a more favourable colour. Regardless, Hades is one of the few gravity options for Skill Inheritance and this makes him more valuable in the future.
Awoken Hades has one the most useful awakenings of any gravity sub for dark teams and the double and high base attack can be used to pierce through high defence bosses. The dual blind resist awakenings provide a 40% chance to resist blind attacks may have niche uses. The 5 additional seconds to move orbs will also guarantee perfectly matched boards for maximum damage. ‘s devil typing allows him to be used on both Awoken Pandora and Awoken Lucifer teams.
As a leader, forms a 6.25x team that reduces all Wood, Light, and Dark damage by 75%. Niche uses but worth mentioning. |

Notes |
Yamato

God / Dragon / Attacker

—

8 turn CD |
Yamato was initially famous for his 3 skill boost awakenings. This helps guarantee your actives are ready to use by turn 1 or even ensuring your push button team has no down time. With his recently released ultimate evolution, he gains an additional 3 fire row enhances. This makes him well suited for both Gadius and Raoh teams. Yamato can also make appearances on Shiva Dragon teams and his flexibility along with recover bind awakening make him an all around great sub.
As a lead, may struggle like the rest of his pantheon due to being fragile with no HP or RCV multiplier. Granted you hit like a (fire)truck when activating your 25x in conjunction with multiple awakenings, but may falter with leader binds or bosses with complex mechanics. |
Andromeda

God / Healer / Physical

8 turn CD |
Andromeda gets me all wet with excitement with all the sub possibilities she has! Mono water teams are mostly water row reliant and provides an incredible 3 awakenings along with 2 . You can also use the recover bind awakening to clear up to 3 turns of binds from your other monsters with a horizontal 6-match of heart orbs (which she can produce). It is hard to find fault in her power and potential and the only drawback is her art is less pretty in this form.
Due to her God and Physical typing, can be found on Neptune Dragon , Blue Sonia , I&I / Ryune , and Lakshimi teams. Essentially, every one loves to use Andromeda and you will be well served with her in your monster box.
Andromeda can also be used as a leader and can successfully pair with a Neptune Dragon to gain more damage and the slight RCV bonus. For more reading on Andromeda’s potential, feel free to read my other posting HERE.
|
Perseus

God / Balance / Dragon

—-

8 turn CD |
Perseus is a mono wood row powerhouse as he has the rarely seen 2 SBR and 2 time extend awakenings. These greatly ease team building along with providing you with ample time to match your numerous wood rows. Having on your team allows you to take advantage of and her 5 wood row awakenings by providing the missing utility. The extra awakening can also be used to compensate for Sylvie subs.
Perseus is best used on Sylvie / Awoken Freyja and Green Sonia teams as they wish to stack numerous wood rows. Even without a TPA , he can be successfully used on Awoken Parvati teams as his wood and heart orb generation are invaluable. If you are lacking those teams, you can always use him as a temporary means to achieve 100% skill bind resist (which I did when he first came out) if having your skills bound results in certain death.
As a leader, has explosive output, but will be plagued by no survivability bonus and will struggle if he is unable to sweep every floor or is bound. |
Sun Wukong

God / Physical / Healer

—-

8 turn CD |
Sun Wukong is now one of the strongest light row subs on Saria / Thor teams. He can also act as a pseudo bind clearer through the awakening and a row of hearts provided he is not bound. can also be found on Awoken Ama or any other healer team as a staple sub with his new found healer typing. This will add significant bulk as his base HP is quite high.
Wukong’s ability to play as a 25x row based leader makes him a glass cannon. His burst and damage output is incredible, but without any HP or RCV multiplier along with vulnerability to binds, may not be able to clear the hardest dungeons if he cannot sweep every floor in one go.
Regardless, Wukong is an amazing card to own for your own mono light adventures. |
Awoken Pandora

Devil / Physical

—-

+ haste
9 CD
—
Bankai Pandora

God / Devil / Healer

—-

8 turn CD |
To help you better chose which Pandora is right for you, please read my comparison post HERE. Regardless of which evolution you choose, Pandora is an amazing monster as her active spawns dark and heart orbs. This can be used in conjunction with Zuoh to form a 2/3 dark orb board. Furthermore, her awakenings combine both power and utility and is welcomed on essentially every dark team. You can combine her heart making with a horizontal row of hearts to trigger 3 turns of bind removal through and is one of the few options for removing binds on dark based teams. Granted Pandora can be bound, but it is at least an option.
Awoken Pandora is considered one of the best leads in the game because she forms a 1.56x HP / 25x ATK / 1.56x RCV for devil monsters. The 25x damage is greatly augmented through numerous dark row enhance awakenings allow her to hit some of the highest damage in the game. For further reading and information, feel free to read my Awoken Pandora Team Building Guide.
Bankai Pandora is a favoured sub on Awoken Yomi and Yomi Dragon teams as her utility oriented awakenings and double orb change allow for easier orb matching.
Overall, Pandora is one of the best cards to have duplicates of as a means to take advantage of both evolutions. |
Let me know if this helps you in your godfest rolling decisions. Feel free to leave a comment with any questions you may have (link to padherder helps a lot) on team building or if you should roll on a particular day.

Day 2 for me, I have been desperate for a Venus, and the release of Wukong’s uuevo has made me realize how outdated my Awoken Amaterasu team has become… and if I want to use Awoken DQXQ I need to find a replacement for DQ on my healer team and Wukong is the one (or a dupe DQ). I used to hate light gala but all these new uevos have made it so that I need to start rolling in that gala again.
If only 10x +eggs didn’t coincide with this. So hard to decide how to divvy up my stones.

Well stoning for stamina can be viewed as a “waste” at any level as those plus eggs will come back in time. On the otherhand, magic stones are only given out in a finite supply. If day 2 is your dream day, it may be wise to roll (your refilling potential is also influenced by your rank, so if you are lower rank, it is more costly to refill).
You can do some simple math to determine your refill potential. Let’s assume you have 150 stamina and the descends give you 5 pluses per 50 stamina. Thus each stone = 15 plus eggs, one REM roll = 75 pluses
Regardless, I like the direction they are taking with both Wukong and DQXQ as they have become powerhouses in their own right

My main account (the one that is actually mine not the 8239582395 other ones I’m babysitting LOL) is at rank 463 so I have close enough to 250 stamina 🙂 So I get a lot of worth out of stoning nowadays, and Kanetsugu is a beast.
I don’t think I’ll roll all my stones away… the thing is, last pantheon had Chinese + Sengoku which everything ELSE I need, and out of nine rolls, I rolled…NONE of them! It was…impressively disappointing. I got a Minerva, DMeta, and Ryune out of it, so I was pretty happy still, but it seems anytime there’s a godfest that’s fit for me to roll in, I get something else completely unrelated! Weird…

Well in the end I rolled twice on Day 2. I was rolling for anything except Minerva, Pandora, and Perseus.
Rolled Perseus and Pandora.

Should I keep a third Pandora?

Well A Pandora is a fantastic sub on her own team and if you run other dark teams (maybe except A Luci), Bankai Pandora is the better option. Comes down to how strong your dark box is and how desperate you are for MP

All I ever wanted was dkali. I already have 2 ares, hermes, ceres, sun quan, dqxq, and yamato as well as 120+ stones. Should I save for players choice or roll a few now? My main teams are awoken ra, sakuya, shiva and bastet.

If you are only chasing after GFE and have the majority of the stronger pantheon rolls, I would wait until the next 4x GFE godfest as that is your best chance of getting dark kali
