Monster Exchanging for Yusuke

Introduction

Monday marks the debut of the Yu Yu Hakusho Collab along with the first introduction of cards available in the Event Tab for the Monster Exchange.

Through this event tab, players will be able to trade in variuos dungeon drops for particular skill up materials but the main focus will be on exchanging four 6* GFE/6* YYH Collab cards for Yusuke .

Overall, Yusuke is an incredible card to own as both a sub and leader which makes him a highly desirable monster to own. As such, many players will be wanting to use the Trading Post to acquire Yusuke without heavily rolling in the Collab itself.

This article will explain why Yusuke is powerful along with how to use the Monster Exchange efficiently as well as trade-in recommendations.

For a full review of the Yu Yu Hakusho Collab, please refer to my previous post HERE.

Yu Yu Hakusho Collab REM Review and Analysis – May 2018

Introduction

This coming Monday will feature the debut of the Yu Yu Hakusho Collab and one of the most powerful leaders available in the game, Yusuke .

This Collab REM features only 5 and 6-star cards with rates mirroring Full Metal Alchemist along with a similar distribution of value as Yusuke soars above the competition. Thankfully, the Monster Exchange system will grant players the chance to trade in four 6* GFE/Yu Yu Collab cards for Yusuke. This process will save countless Magic Stones and sets an exciting precedent moving forward.

One main drawback of the Yu Yu Hakusho Collab is the somewhat lower base stats and fewer awakenings prevents many from being used as a sub; however, several cards feature powerful/unique actives that can make them desirable inherits.

This article will summarize each card’s strengths and weaknesses in the current meta to help you determine if it is worth rolling in. There will be a supplemental article discussing the Monster Exchange for Yusuke being published in the next few days.

Pink Dragon REM Review – Not Clickbait

It’s
a
trap

In the off chance you still have Magic Stones left after the three stellar events, you should not spend your stones here. Despite the fact that Collabs are becoming the strongest cards in the game, this line up does not feature any game breaking girls.

With this in mind, it is best to avoid and save up for the next event.

Best Friend Reset and How to Improve your Chances of being Selected

Introduction

Next week’s maintenance will come with the ability to select a new Best Friend (BFF) along with the various Rank Machine resets. This is amazing as it has been over a year since the last Best Friend Reset and many players may be new to this feature at this point in time.

Best Friends are a vital part of your PAD experience as it will enable you to expand the leaders available as well as gaining additional Pal Points.

This article will explain the Friend and Best Friend System along with how you can improve your chances of being selected by strangers as well as how to form BFF Triangles.

As a side note, I will be opening up as much Friend space as possible on my two accounts and will be accepting requests from players who wish to Best Friend me.

Official GungHo NA post can be found HERE.

Finding Friends

The first step to Pal Point domination is to find friends to populate your list. As you rank up, your friends list will max out at 50 players. You can add 5 additional friend slots for 1 magic stone, up to a maximum of 300 friends.

However, the sooner you add space and expand your friend list, the more pal points you will be rolling in. You can view this as an opportunity cost as for each day you have more friends, the more pal points you will generate in future days. Because PAD is a long term game, the sooner you invest, the more you will be rewarded. Thankfully, making friends in PAD is quite easy and the community is incredibly warm and welcoming. We can find friends via:

  • Posting your ID on various forums, Reddit threads,  and Facebook groups (@PG, @US, @HG)
  • Typing in a player’s ID under Friends -> ID search
  • Choosing Users from the helper selection list

[PSA] Best Friend and Rank REM Resets Coming Next Week

After next Tuesday’s maintenance, players will enjoy 6 unique resets. These will include:

  • Best Friend (article coming soon)
  • Premium Egg Machine (Snowglobe/Bean rolls aka Present)
  • Rank 150, 250, & 500 REM
  • IAP One-Time Bargain Set

All of the above will be available once again after the maintenance and if you have not utilized them beforehand, they will be “lost” when reset. Resetting enables players to perform that action once again.

Thus, if you have not chosen a Best Friend, you should do so now. In addition, if you are close to either Rank 150, 250, or 500, it is worth pushing hard for those milestones to gain an extra roll.|

Team Building for Blue Sonia

Introduction

Blue Sonia  is the first of what is presumed to be Mega Awoken evolutions for 6-star Godfest Exclusives (GFE). While most meta leaders tend to recycle the same pool of subs, Blue Sonia utlizes a completely different set of cards along with a interesting twist on Tank-oriented teams.

This article will summarize my thoughts and rationale for building a Blue Sonia team. However, team building is more about countering the dungeon mechanics and somewhat removes the notion of “perfect set ups.” As such, I find it best to understand how each sub functions as well as Blue Sonia’s strengths and weaknesses.

Super Godfest Descends

Introduction

North America will be gaining their first ever Super Godfest that will significantly change up the format. For this Godfest, players will be able to spend 6 Magic Stones for a guaranteed 6-star card. However, the available roster will not be exclusive to 6-star base cards and it will be possible to roll evolved 5-stars.

As such, it may not actually be as amazing as you may be led to believe. On the bright side, we are able to view JP’s line up as well as rolling rates and while we may not receive the exact same roster, it should be a general indication as to what we can expect.

The main drawback of this Godfest is that it comes on the heels of two 10-stone events.

Official announcement can be found HERE.

JP Rates

One side effect of being 2-3 months behind JP in terms of content is that we are able to “see into the future” to better plan our game play. This includes various evolutions, Monthly Quests, and various REM events. As such, we are able to see what JP had for their Super Godfest. Continue reading Super Godfest Descends

Cotton Wins the MP Shop Survey! Do’s & Don’ts

Do not nuke your box for MP

Introduction

The Monster Point Shop Survey has come to a wonderful conclusion with Cotton  being the most voted card in NA! This if Fantastic as she is one of the most valuable and flexible cards in the game and there is no real downside in owning duplicates. By comparison, cards like Fujin  and Yog  are powerful, but are less valuable in duplicates or if owning a different Fujin-style active. Thus, Cotton is arguably the best card to have won the survey as players would not be disappointed when rolling more of her in the future.

This article will summarize Cotton’s power along with helping you decide which evolution is best for you and your Monster Box.

Unfortunately, Cotton will cost 1,000,000 MP to purchase which may place her out of reach for the average player and you should not nuke your box for MP. As such, this article will also help you decide who you can safely sell if you are close to the 1 million threshold. Just be aware that Cotton will only be available to purchase for a limited time.

1,000,000 Monster Points

Up to this point, the most expensive card for purchase from the MP shop was 750,000 and while this may seem daunting, older players will have probably acquired well over a million from just login bonuses. As such, there will be many players who are nearing the million MP cutoff and may be interested in purchasing Cotton. Continue reading Cotton Wins the MP Shop Survey! Do’s & Don’ts
