GH Tsukuyomi x Norza vs Alt. Arena 4 & Dungeon Breakdown/Strategies

Introduction

With the release of both GH Tsukuyomi and Norza , North American players have the opportunity to utilize a truly spectacular team that is able to tackle any dungeon in the game. With this in mind, I have developed a team for my own Monster Box to farm Alt. Arena 4 while using a Yuri as a sub as I was unable to roll my own Norza.

Furthermore, I Monster Exchanged for Tsukuyomi as I am able to build a viable team for end game content. As with any trade, this should not be done on a whim and only completed if you can actually support it.

Taking these points into consideration, I want to share my thought process behind building my own team and how I approach Alt. Arena 4. This article will include a full breakdown of each of my card’s inherits, latents, and rationale for them being chosen along with a detailed description of the hurdles in Alt. Arena 4.

Grigory x Grigory Versus Alt. Arena 3

Introduction

Alt. Arena 3 remains one of the best dungeons to farm on a regular basis due to the Rank EXP, Pys, Killers, and the satisfaction of clearing a challenging dungeon.

Despite being in the game for a modest period of time, AA3 can still be unforgiving to an unprepared player as failing to bring a key Resist or flubbing a kill board could result in an unfortunate ending.

With this in mind, I wish to share my double Grigory team as he tries to revive the TPA TPA meta through his massive multipliers, immunity to Poison damage, and Auto Follow Up Attack.

Despite having many things going in his favour, I found my Grigory team had several issues compared to other higher tier leaders and I believe the issue lies in the fact that I am running double Grigory.

This is because the two strongest mechanics for Leader Skills are 7×6 and Auto Follow Up Attack which will result in asymmetrical pairings. As such, my 6×5 Grigory team had issues with Combo shields along with some problems with damage due to a lack of offensive sub options.

With these points in mind, I wish to explore how I built my own team along with addressing the major hurdles that can be found in Alt. Arena 3.

Nelle x Yugi Versus Arena 6

Introduction

Arena 6 is the newest dungeon to be released in PAD and gives players a new chance to test their team building and puzzling skills while also being introduced to new mechanics.

As a whole, Arena 6 is quite challenging but at the same time, feels reasonably fair as spawns can be stalled and you do not have to one shot everything right away. With that being said, Arena 6 has numerous new mechanics and challenges to overcome with the most notable mechanic being team ATK debuffs. These debuffs will reduce the damage output of your entire team and while some can be stalled out or possibly ignored, it does give more merits to team ATK buffs.

In addition to this, Floor 10 (Nohime) will feature different move-sets for players who use 7×6 teams as a way to punish them. While this can be dangerous, it is still stall-able with strong RCV.

The included video is of my one and only clear (at the time of publishing) so some spawns/mechanics may be a bit foreign but at the same time, you can see how I push through challenging content where I am uncertain of what will happen.

With this in mind, I wish to explore how I built my own team along with addressing the major hurdles that can be found in Arena 6 and ways I can improve upon my team.

Alice x Fasca Versus Alt. Arena 3

Introduction

Alt. Arena 3 remains one of the best dungeons to farm on a regular basis due to the Rank EXP, Pys, Killers, and satisfaction of clearing the second hardest dungeon in the game.

Despite being in the game for a modest period of time, AA3 can still be unforgiving to an unprepared player as failing to bring a key Resist or flubbing a kill board could result in an unfortunate ending.

With this in mind, I wish to share my Alice  x Fasca team as she is the current hot new leader. As a whole, this team is able to address all relevant mechanics within this dungeon with relative ease along with a natural 7×6 board and potential for Auto Follow Up Damage.

Furthermore, this team is combo-based as neither leader requires multiple linked orbs to proc their multipliers. Thus, if you enjoy this type of play style, Alice and Faska may become one of your favourite teams.

With this in mind, I wish to explore how I built my own team along with addressing the major hurdles that can be found in Alt. Arena 3.

Lampeid x Fasca Versus Alt. Arena 3

Introduction

Alt. Arena 3 is one of the most lucrative dungeons to farm and is considered the second hardest dungeon in the game at this point in time. As such, being able to clear this dungeon will provide a wonderful Rank EXP, Pys, and satisfaction.

Over time we have acquired numerous different leaders who can tackle this dungeon and while it is possible to secure a clear with a wide variety of teams, being able to consistently farm Alt Arena 3 is valuable overall.

For myself, I have used a wide variety of teams and have found that Lampeid (Lamp) paired with Fasca to be a wonderfully strong team. This pairing combines the two strongest Leader Skill mechanics of Auto Follow Up Damage and 7×6 along with enough powerful subs to handle this dungeon with relative ease. Furthermore, there is copious amounts of movement time along with strong multipliers in all metrics.

While Lamp does require 6+ Water orbs to function, this should be quite doable on 7×6 and not having to worry about Resolve greatly improves any Row-based team.

With this in mind, I wish to explore how I built my own team along with addressing the major hurdles that can be found in Alt. Arena 3.

Tifa x Haohmaru Versus Alt. Arena 3

Health update at end of article

Introduction

Alt. Arena 3 is considered the hardest dungeon in the game at this point in time and when it first came it out, it provided a great challenge to many players due to the revamped mechanics and health pools.

Despite having numerous lethal mechanics present, it can be cleared by a wide variety of teams but one important factor is consistency. Getting a single clear is great but being able to repeatedly farm this dungeon is invaluable from a rewards perspective.

For myself, Tifa x Haohmauru is my most consistent team due to the deep sub pool Light can draw from, 7×6, Auto Follow Up Damage, massive healing, and incredible damage potential.

At this point in time, 7×6 and Auto Follow Up Damage are the strongest leader skill mechanics and being able to utilize both of them will most likely solidify this leader pairing for a prolong period of time.

With this in mind, I wish to explore how I built my own team along with addressing the major hurdles that can be found in Alt. Arena 3.

Orphen Versus Alt. Arena 3

Health update at end of article

Introduction

I wish to continue a new series of posts in which i share my successful Alt. Arena 3 clears for both the video and explanation/rationale for my sub choices. For this article, I wish to take a closer look at Orphen as he is a powerful leader who does not rely on 7×6 or Auto Follow Up Damage to succeed.

Furthermore, Orphen offers a modestly unique play style as you must manage your health and is dependent on Zaerog Core for success. With that being said, his Effective Health can be difficult to manage and his largest weakness is healing to just above 50% and losing his massive Damage Reduction shield.

This is by far his largest weakness and players should become familiar with their healing output to better gauge how much health will be replenished. On the other hand, this team can pump out a ridiculous amount of damage and tanky spawns should never be an issue.

Chidori Versus Alt. Arena 3

Introduction

I want to try a new series of posts in which i share my successful Alt. Arena 3 clears for both the video and explanation/rationale for my sub choices. In this case, I wish to take a closer look at Chidori as she is one of the more powerful leaders who do not rely on 7×6 or Auto Follow Up Damage to succeed.

This is valuable but at the same time, I feel Chidori runs the risk of being pushed out as a leader moving forward due to the fact that she does not possess these mechanics and the next jump in Arena difficulty may push Chidori beyond her limits.

With that being said, I find she has a reasonably consistent time clearing AA3 due to the fact that she is so durable along with easy activation paired with copious movement time.

Building a PhenomINAl Team for AA2

Introduction

I previously rolled in the Draconic Orchestra event along with the 7-Magic Stone Super Godfest and was magically blessed with both Phenom and Ina . These two can combine to make a truly Phenominal team that is able to waltz through the hardest content available despite being a blob-oriented leader.

The past meta was heavily defined by pure combos as they are simple to match along with having solid multipliers. By comparison, blob leaders tended to fall behind as their multipliers could not justify the harder/more orb hungry activation clause.

With that being said, Phenom x Ina throw all of that out the window as they come high Effective Health, built in Follow Up Damage, natural Resists, bonus combo count, and a strong sub pool.

This article will take a closer look at my own team composition along with my rationale for each card along with strategies for tackling Alt. Arena 2 (AA2). As such, not everything here will be relevant if playing through different content.

Alt. Arena 2 Clear

Alt. Arena 2 mechanics

Alt. Arena 2 is currently the hardest dungeon available in North America (Alt. Arena 3 is coming soon) and offers lucrative rewards from a Monster Experience point of view due to a random Snow Globe + Rainbow Snow Globe Dragon as drops. In all honesty, Arena 5 is better to farm as it is faster, easier, and drops two Killer latents along with special events granting more Rank Experience (from the regular 4x EXP events). Arena 5 Farming with Dark Karin

Introduction

The GungHo Collab Super Godfest has blessed me with Dark Karin who has quickly become my favourite leader for farming Arena 5. This is because she combines ease of activation, high and consistent damage, along with flexible team building options that can cover all the required mechanics.

This article will be solely focusing on Dark Karin’s ability to clear Arena 5 and will look at mechanics/counters are required, her strengths and weaknesses, and team building compositions.

As with any leader, the team used should be customized to the dungeon at hand and this article will be solely focusing on Arena 5.

This clear was done right after rolling her and is essentially the same I plan to use moving forward.

Arena 5 mechanics

Arena 5 is often considered the best Arena to farm due to the fact that it provides a hefty amount of Rank experience, two Killer latents (Dragon, Devil, etc.), and a singly Py. Furthermore, the difficulty level has become significantly easier over time due to the introduction of spicier leaders and more options to counter the various mechanics.
