Top Farmable PAD Cards – October 2019

Introduction

Puzzle and Dragons is one of the longest mobile games on the market and has evolved and changed over the years. Initially there was a heavier emphasis on Farmable monsters (those that can be acquired outside the Rare Egg Machine [REM]) but this is somewhat on the decline due to the differing rate of Powercreep between REM and farmable.

With that being said, there are still some invaluable Farmable cards and I wish to highlight those that I feel are the most valuable at this point in time.

Just bear in mind that this list is compromised of my own personal opinion and should be used as a starting point, not as absolute truth. There will be some cards I value or undervalue compared to you and if you feel I have missed someone or grossly miss-evaluated a card, let me know in the comments below.

How I classify a Farmable monster

Any card that comes from either a dungeon drop, Monster Points, Pal Egg Machine (PEM), or Monster Exchange I consider a Farmable monster. Essentially, the idea is you do not need to spend Magic Stones or Real Life money to acquire (eg. Collab Orb Skin cards are not Farmable).

These cards may require a higher level of investment to fully max out but it is worth the cost considering Magic Stones are not required.

Overview

I have grouped the various Farmable cards into rough categories. It is possible for some cards to bleed over into other pools so use this as a starting template for where you can use them.

Rikuu Ranking Tournament – Crowning with Zeus Verse

Introduction

The Rikuu Ranking Tournament is an exciting event as it gives players another chance to acquire Rikuu  as well as obtaining a Crown.

Scoring at or above the 26% threshold will yield a Rikuu while 6% will guarantee a Crown. Depending on your personal goals and puzzling skills, both rewards may be obtainable and I wish to share my Crowning strategy with you.

Zeus Verse requires players to have 3 heals/full damage voids to maintain their health at 100% in order to waltz through the dungeon. I do not own an Amaterasu so I utilize the Ganesha to void the 99% Gravity from Hino on Floor 5.

In addition, I use Water Resist Water Red to reduce the damage from the Cat on Floor 8 to ensure I can heal back to full. In hindsight, I could have just used the Light Metatron Weapon Inherit but this also works.

For the most part, you can simply 1 combo each floor and this ensures a faster clear time and a higher score. Of course, there is some luck involved, but this set up helped minimize the failures and my highest score was achieved with only a few runs.

Conclusion

The Rikuu Ranking Tournament is an exciting event as it offers generous rewards at what is arguably the most generous rates possible.

Let me know what you used for the Tournament and how well you have placed.

Happy Puzzling!

One Shot Challenge Rewards: Whaledor, Raguel, and Drahklist Analysis

Introduction

This current set of One Shot Challenge (OSC) is one the easier side compared to previous incarnations. This is due to both Powercreep of available cards (think Monster Hunter and pairing everything with Diablos ) and easier spawns overall. As such, many players may be completing their first OSC and will now be the proud owner of one of three new cards.

Each of these cards has tremendous value and you will be able to acquire all 3 over time through future OSC. Furthermore, there will be limited time Guerrilla dungeons that will allow you to skill them up and farm as many as you are humanly able to.

This article will highlight how all three cards can be used and why they are worth pursuing.
