One wonderful aspect of PAD is how older cards receive new evolutions that can completely overhaul their kit and allows them to become top-tier monsters.
As such, players should never sell or Trade away their only copy of a given card because there is always the chance it will receive a new and powerful evolution in the future.
This holds true for the latest batch of new evolutions as Raijin has now become a tremendously valuable card due to her potent Leader Skill and personal damage. While Raijin is one of the stars of this new wave of cards, there are several others worth pursuing and this article will highlight the strengths and weaknesses for the new Evolutions found within this update.
7 new split evolutions have been released overnight that breathe significant new life into some older cards. With this article, I wish to explore how these new evolutions fit in the current meta as well as discussing which path you should pursue.
Cards to receive new evolutions:
Rozuel
Ruel
Lumiel
Nephthys
Light Metatron

Amaterasu

Split evolutions
Split evolution paths tend to push cards into either a more sub or leader oriented role and are Fantastic overall as it allows you to better customize each card to your liking. Sometimes there is an obvious winner, but there may be times that where you wish to retain the older evoluton. This can occur when new split does not warrant enough benefits or they lose a particular typing/sub element.
Rozuel
Rozuel was a potent fire sub due to her triple TPA, unbindability, recover bind, and God typing. This granted her flexibility as she could perform the role of both a bind clearer and offensive powerhouse when matching a TPA. In addition, the water typing had merits on rainbow teams and her low base cooldown enabled you to inherit an active of your choice over top. An amazing amount of content was released last night and it is almost overwhelming trying to keep abreast with what is hip to the hop and worth pursuing. This article will try to help provide some clarity to the new cards and which ones you should prioritize if resources are limited.
In addition, I will also be briefly touching upon the notable buffs and eventually begin work on a farmable monster tier list from an inherit and leader/sub point of view.

New evolutions
If you refer to the official GungHo Facebook Page, there is an incredible amount of content to scroll through and the reincarnation process is resource intensive as each cards requires 16 million experience to level up. As such, you should resist the urge to reincarnate things you are using if you are unable to re-max level them.
Naturally, who you prioritize with your resources will be based upon your individual box needs and you should take my recommendations with a grain of salt.
Amon & Baal
The main problem with Belial, Amon, and Baal was that they had low value actives and desperately needed this Awoken evolution to revamp them. Now, they did lose some “signature” awakenings, AKA Amon’s Machine Killer and Baal’s Coop Boost and bind immunity, but these were replaced with dual TPA . While Machine Killer is quite unique, it has situational value at best with the access to the new Killer latents and the fact that most water cards are Physical and thus qualify to use them (which I use on my Meridionalis team).
Cue the fan boy screams, Awoken Archdemon Lucifer is here. UUevo of both Baal and Amon were also released, but the majority of the attention will be on due to his amazing increase in power and viability.
Arbiter of Judgement, Metatron, aka Dark Metatron or dtron is one of the oldest Godfest Exclusive (GFE) gods in PAD along with the Odin pantheon. She rose to hyper-luxury REM status when awakenings were first introduced as she was unbindable and had two dark row enhances . However, she quickly lost popularity as team building restricted you to using only dark attacker subs. Eventually, was given her current Dark-Blue evolution and updated active skill to provide a shield along with dark orb enhancement. The evolution was nice because it opened up sub pools to gods as well, but still could not viably build a team as the introduction of preemptive abilities made it near impossible to stay below 80% health as there was no health boost from her leader skill. New evolutions are out and bring many game changers to the table!
Izanagi has fallen a bit out of favour while waiting for his new ultimate evolution. I felt he was being pushed out of the meta because his viability as a sub was being outshined by other options. In terms of descend capable teams, he would be a sub on , , and . With the advent of losing her god typing and gaining a higher scaling combo-based multiplier, Izanagi’s burst (and awakenings) can no longer benefit your two leaders and should not be used as a staple sub anymore. The dark typing is an amazing addition to the other light-based rainbow teams as you now have a stronger option than or if you do not need the shield. and teams are the only ones left who will truly benefit from his additonal and dark typing. One other use for the new L/D evolution is the ability to cover all the colours for a team. This can allow you to choose three unrestricted subs and can help you go more mono blue. The Wonder Boys still retain their god typing, so the active is still beneficial. Overall, the new evolution is very welcomed, but just a little too small and too late to fully capitalize on release. Furthermore, I discussed the struggles that rainbow teams face in a previous Posting and Izanagi is still regulated being a rainbow sub that can now fulfill dark requirements.
