Untitled Beach Ranking Tournament Strategies

Introduction

The Untitled Beach Ranking Tournament has gone live in North America and gives players a chance to play for lucrative rewards along with a 3% Crown.

As a twist, this dungeon will give players fixed leaders and have players build their own subs. This gives the illusion of choice but really boils down to a pseudo Monster Box check as certain cards are far superior. Thankfully, several key cards are actually farmable and some subs are flexible.

To further spice things up, time remaining will be worth twice as much. This places a much heavier emphasis on how fast you go and not fully matching each board will still get you a Crown.

This article will explain my approach to this Ranking Tournament for obtaining a Crown.

254,256 Score

Score breakdown

In Ranking Dungeons, players are scored based on the following:

  • Each Combo is worth 5,000 points
  • Each second remaining is worth 500 1,000 points
  • Hitting 40 Million damage is 10,000 points
  • Each active used to kill a floor (no combo made) is -5,000 points

Heroine REM Review and Analysis – November 2019

Introduction

The Heroine Rare Egg Machine will be returning to North America once again while providing various buffs to several cards along with new Weapon Assists for five of the 6* cards.

While this does sound nice, this event may be skipped by many players due to how many times it has come around and no one wanting a seventh duplicate of a 5-star card.

This is the exact situation I am in as I have heavily rolled in this event the first couple of times it came around and despite never acquiring a 7-star card, I have no interest in pursuing them. This is not because they are weak, but the 10-Stone cost combined with me owning numerous copies of almost every 5-star card will result in countless wasted rolls. Furthermore, the 5-star cards were once unique and strong but have now become somewhat Powercrept by newer and flashier options.

As a result, the motivation/desire to roll may be lower, even for new players as fewer cards at the bottom rarity stand out like they did in the past.

This article will summarize each card’s strengths and weaknesses to give players a better understanding of what each card can do for their Monster Box.

Fist of the North Star Collab REM Review & Analysis – November 2019

Introduction

The Fist of the North Star Collab will be making a triumphant return this coming Monday, November 18. This comes as a bit of a surprise as it has been several years since the last time this Collab returned and essentially every cards has been buffed/reworked to help them keep abreast with today’s cards.

This is a 5-Magic Stone Rare Egg Machine which is home to one of the strongest leaders in the game: Raoh Raoh. Raoh is the premier Fire leader we have been waiting for as he offers built in Follow Up Damage and can create an abusive System to clear end game content.

While this is exciting, the Collab as a whole features many weak cards and the 5-Stone cost somewhat works against them. Furthermore, due to the fact that Raoh is classified as a 7* card, he will require five, not four Trade Fodder to Monster Exchange for.

This article will cover the strengths and weaknesses of each card to give players a better understanding of what to expect in the Fist of the North Star Collab REM.

6th REMDra Fever – 7×6 Strategies

Introduction

The REMDra Fever “Ranking” Dungeon continues in North America and diverts from the traditional Ranking Dungeon format as rewards are achieved via a cumulative score. As such, players can grind for a Crown by simply hitting the cap of 999,999 points. With that being said, it will take numerous runs to achieve but there are ways to bolster your score to save time, stamina, and mental sanity.

Furthermore, the dungeon is quite lucrative to run over and over again as it only costs 30 stamina and offers valuable drops. In addition, any number of players can achieve a Crown and is not only given to the first X number of players to hit 999,999. Finally, the 6th iteration will use a 7×6 board which will inflate our combo count and hasten our journey to 999,999 points.

This article will explain the rules for REMDra Fever and how to maximize your score potential.

5th REMDra Fever Event: 11/8 (Fri) 12am – 11/11 (Mon) 11:59pm (PST)

Samurai Showdown Collab REM Review & Analysis – November 2019

Introduction

The Samurai Showdown Collab will be making their debut appearance this coming Monday after a content-packed NA stream on Friday.

While the prospect of gaining new cards is always exciting, it comes at a time when we are heavily saturated with content that demands our Magic Stones. This is because the Stream also announced a return of the buffed Heroine series along with Fist of the North Star. The exact dates for these events are unknown but are coming soon.

Furthermore, there is a 24h 7-stone Super Godfest which has appealing rates and 1.5% chance for the 7% GFE.

With that being said, the Samurai Showdown Collab is one of the higher value events due to every card having value. This is exemplified by all cards coming with a Weapon Assist along with many having unique kits that are hard to replicate elsewhere.

This article will cover the strengths and weaknesses of each card to give players a better understanding of what to expect in the Samurai Showdown Collab REM.

Monster Exchanging for Top Rarity Collab/Seasonal Cards

Introduction

The Monster Exchange system is one of the better aspects of Puzzle and Dragons as it allows players to access cards that would normally be too difficult to acquire otherwise. By being able to trade in several other cards for something of value can greatly advance your progress but it is not without drawbacks.

The card you are trading for will cost 4 or 5 rare cards and the value they bring to your Monster Box must last for a prolong period of time to justify this trade.

With this in mind, I want to outline how I approach Monster Exchanging for top rarity Collab/Seasonal cards by explaining my own mental checklist.

This article is based on my own goals and approach to playing the game which may be different compared yours so use these thoughts as a starting point, not absolute truths.

Top Farmable PAD Cards – October 2019

Introduction

Puzzle and Dragons is one of the longest mobile games on the market and has evolved and changed over the years. Initially there was a heavier emphasis on Farmable monsters (those that can be acquired outside the Rare Egg Machine [REM]) but this is somewhat on the decline due to the differing rate of Powercreep between REM and farmable.

With that being said, there are still some invaluable Farmable cards and I wish to highlight those that I feel are the most valuable at this point in time.

Just bear in mind that this list is compromised of my own personal opinion and should be used as a starting point, not as absolute truth. There will be some cards I value or undervalue compared to you and if you feel I have missed someone or grossly miss-evaluated a card, let me know in the comments below.

Video commentary

How I classify a Farmable monster

Any card that comes from either a dungeon drop, Monster Points, Pal Egg Machine (PEM), or Monster Exchange I consider a Farmable monster. Essentially, the idea is you do not need to spend Magic Stones or Real Life money to acquire (eg. Collab Orb Skin cards are not Farmable).

These cards may require a higher level of investment to fully max out but it is worth the cost considering Magic Stones are not required.

Overview

I have grouped the various Farmable cards into rough categories. It is possible for some cards to bleed over into other pools so use this as a starting template for where you can use them.

Halloween REM Review & Analysis – October 2019

Introduction

The Halloween REM returns to North America in time for this spooky day and also means we are receiving this 2-3 months ahead of “schedule.” This is because we are having this event at essentially the same time as the JP server which is exciting to say the least. Furthermore, there have been numerous buffs across all rarities along with new cards and evolutions.

Not only can we partake in the hype of new changes, but we are in theory receiving stronger cards ahead of schedule. This can be important for players who are pushing through challenging content as they are able to potentially gain irreplaceable tools.

With that being said, NA faces a unique problem in that we do not know what Power Rangers Collab will hold as it will be a debut event in the near future. This has the potential to range from amazing to lackluster and everything in between.

Regardless, this article will cover the strengths and weaknesses of each card to give players a better understanding of what to expect in this year’s Halloween REM.

Best Friend Reset Coming Tues Oct 22

The Reset will not provide a new selection after the next maintenance on 10/22 (Tues) 6pm (UTC-8). Failure to use before will cause it to be lost

Introduction

On Tuesday October 22 at 6pm (UTC-8), PAD will go under maintenance and this will also reset the Best Friend Token, Present, and One-Time Bargain set.

The Best Friend reset will grant an additional Token which will allow you to choose a new Best Friend. This additional selection will not override your existing ones but failing to use a current selection will not carry over after the reset.

Best Friends are a vital part of your PAD experience as it will enable you to expand the leaders available as well as gaining additional Pal Points.

This article will explain the Friend and Best Friend System along with how you can improve your chances of being selected by strangers as well as how to form BFF Triangles.

From the previous reset, I was the first player on any PAD server to achieve 300/300 Best Friends on my Mantastic account and wondering if I can achieve that same status on Fantastic as I am around 175. With this in mind, if you wish to Best Friend Mantastic or Fantastic, please leave your ID number, your in game name, and which account you want to Best Friend. Mantastic can only accept a handful of players as I can only delete a few inactive BFF.

Finding Friends

The first step to Pal Point domination is to find friends to populate your list. As you rank up, your friends list will max out at 50 players. You can add 5 additional friend slots for 1 magic stone, up to a maximum of 300 friends. Continue reading Best Friend Reset Coming Tues Oct 22
