5x Descends Plus Egg Farming [Video]- Fresh Beginnings

After the frenzy that we had with 10x descends, farming plus eggs during 5x feels a bit sad. Don’t get me wrong, this is still a viable way to farm plus eggs, it mostly feels underwhelming due to the expectations that every drop will be a plus. Furthermore, we only have Zeus Mercury and Guan Yinping as viable descends to run this event as I would estimate the plus egg rate hovers at just under 50% based on the runs I have done in coin Hera-Sowilo.

Volsung Descended Clear!

Volsung Descended went live this afternoon and I was eager to push my puzzling skills to their limit. The dungeon has a similar layout to Zaerog Infinity in that the first few floors are freebies that give you a chance to level up your monsters a bit. However, Volsung is significantly harder and I place it on par with Scarlet Descended as the final boss is much more difficult to deal with unless you bring a delay or poison as he lacks a status shield. Volsung Analysis

Friday Afternoon will mark the debut of Sea Dragon King – Legend Plus that awards the coveted boss drop of Giant Arched Sea Dragon King, Volsung Volsung . The dungeon will be rogue style in nature in that all your monsters will start at level 1 and progressively level up as you clear each floor. The amount of experience and thus ending level of your monsters will be determined by their team cost; the lower the cost, the higher their ending level will be. This automatically awards teams that have heavy plus egg investment because the pluses will not be affected reduced monster levels and instead provide their full benefit. But dungeon aside (will cover in a subsequent post when I actually get to play it), I want to take this opportunity in exploring the power Volsung offers along with his viability and whether he is worth the investment. January 21st Ultimate Evolutions (Awoken Astaroth, Nephthys, and Rozuel)

Even after an unprecedented 9 new evolutions a week ago, GungHo is still pumping out more content so kudos to them! Keeping the theme of the previous post, I want to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of these new monsters and if we will see a shift in the meta as a result. Awoken Astaroth Astaroth , Nephthys Nephthys , and Rozuel Rozuel all received significant buffs with their ultimate evolutions along with significantly improved art! My Perspective on IAP

Introduction

IAP or In App Purchases is a short hand way to describe purchasing magic stones with real life money. This can become a touchy subject for many people as the range of players vary from non-IAP to those who spend large amounts of money. For the record, I do not work for GungHo and have an average life in terms of income and expenditures. In essence, going IAP is a means to make your PAD journey go faster. It is a way to save time for those who do not wish to wait for the trickle of free stones given out every event.

Reasons to IAP

What people need to understand is that purchasing stones is a form of entertainment. Most people set aside money every month to spend on something they enjoy Continue reading My Perspective on IAP

Awoken Shiva Team Building and Discussion

Shiva Awoken Shiva is the hottest fire lead in the game and was the reason fire teams are viable in the current meta. Fire teams were historically row-based Fire Row and the row playstyle was limiting due to the heavy reliance on fire-orb makers, the orb manipulation required to create a horizontal line of 6, and the lack of time extends available. Those factors pushed rows out of the meta and the game became more fixated around two-prong attacks (TPA) TPA .  TPA are much easier to match and require less orbs to deal damage. This also allows you to create more off-colour combos, and each match adds an additional 25% damage. Shiva has a similar feel and playstyle to Awoken Bastet Bastet in that they are both combo-based leaders who utilize TPA . Shiva ‘s active skill has been buffed in his awoken form, but it is still a bit lackluster as you bring two into the descend, and it is slightly redundant to have two cards with a damage enhancing active.
