10 Magic Stones Seasonal Super Godfest April 29 – May 5

Introduction

Super Godfests are 10-Stone events where players will have at least a 1/3 or 33% chance of acquiring any Godfest Exclusive (GFE) but this changes when it becomes a Seasonal Super Godfest.

Seasonal Super Godfests are unique as they feature 7-9 star Seasonal cards in the line up but omit all the horrible bottom rarity cards that are found in their respective REMs. This is important as rolling in Seasonal REMs tends to be an underwhelming affair whereas the “bad” rolls in a Godfest are at least Pantheon cards who will have value for more shallow Boxes or are actually potent in their own right.

Furthermore, Seasonal Super Godfests also include 6 and 7-star Godfest Exclusives but will have their rates adjusted due to the inclusion of the Seasonal cards. With this in mind, I tend to lump all of the valuable cards (Seasonal, GFE, Samurai 3) into the “good” to roll pool which comes to 37% chance for the current Seasonal Super Godfest.

While this is potentially lower compared to PCGF/anniversary events, neither of these allow players to directly roll the higher rarity Seasonal cards who are often acquired via Monster Exchanging. This in turn means that rolling any of these cards can be thought of as acquiring 4-5 GFEs as you just saved yourself the Monster Exchange.

Rolling pool

Seasonal Super Godfests differ from regular Super Godfests as they push out varying amounts of GFEs in order to accommodate the Seasonal cards. This adjusted rolling pool will still have a >33% chance to acquire any “good” card (Seasonal, GFE, Samurai 3). As such, the featured Seasonal cards will be the main motivator to roll in this event as many of them are incredibly difficult to replicate otherwise. 9th REMDra Fever – No Dark Strategies

Introduction

The REMDra Fever “Ranking” Dungeon returns to North America and gives players a chance to grind for a (cosmetic) Crown by accumulating 999,999 points over any number of runs. With that being said, it will take numerous clears to achieve but there are ways to bolster your score to save time, stamina, and mental sanity. Generally speaking, no Dark orbs will take less effort overall as it is much easier to achieve a higher combo count due to only 5 possible orb types appearing. Furthermore, the inclusion TPA TPA matches awarding 500 points will help hasten this process.

As with all REMDra Fever events, the dungeon is quite lucrative to run over and over again as it only costs 25 stamina and offers valuable drops. Furthermore, any number of players can achieve a Crown and is not only given to the first X number of players to hit 999,999.

This article will explain the rules for REMDra Fever and how to maximize your score potential and how to farm it as efficiently as possible once you are satisfied with your score.

New GFE + Exchange Medal + 10 Magic Stone Super Godfest – April 2021

Introduction

Today marks the debut of three new 7-star Godfest Exclusives (GFE) who will be available through the current Super Godfest. Furthermore, all players who log in between April 16 – May 9 will receive a special 9-Year Anniversary Medal which can be exchanged for one of the three new GFE .

This means players can choose their most desired card and not have to gamble with rolling or spending Magic Stones. As such, the question of who to choose will be on the forefront many player’s minds and there is no easy answer as all three provide value in their own way. Building upon this, if you are unable to make a decision, there is no rush as once you acquire the Exchange Medal, it does not expire. This means you can wait and see if your Box develops in a particular way which in turn makes one choice better overall. Finally, players who are at or near Rank 1000 will eventually receive the Rank 1000 machine in a future update (soonish) where 3/5 cards available are these new 7-star Godfest Exclusives.

Regardless of all this, I will be taking a closer look at each of the new 7-star GFEs to give players a better idea of how to use them in hopes of making a meaningful decision for their Exchange Medal.

Finally, this article will also take a look at the current Super Godfest as it does feature quite a lucrative line up with notable collateral benefits for newer players.

New Godfest Exclusives

The 9-Year Anniversary Medal can be Monster Exchanged for one of the three new GFEs and once this Medal is in your Monster Box, it will not expire which means you can wait and see how your Box develops if none of the three options are appealing right now. Alt. Ruler of Hell’s Halls Guide by the Marvelous Melvin

Foreword

Due to various health issues ruining the past few days, I have been unable to do as much as I normally would like. Thankfully, I have Fantastic friends and the Magnificent Melvin has kindly given permission to repost his Alt. Ruler of Hell’s Halls Guide.

Melvin is a real life friend and we used to play Board Games on a regular basis until Covid but thankfully, his zest for PAD has not waivered and he actively plays on NA and JP.

His writing style differs from mine and I have preserved his content with only minimal formatting adjustments.

Introduction

Hey guys! It’s the Marvelous/Magnificent Melvin here! You guys may better known me as the Luscious Leilan though! I made a few appearance on Mantastic’s stream before but due to the Covid pandemic, I was unable to make any more appearances nor play more board games with him. Here’s to hoping that this pandemic ends soon so everything returns to normal but I digress, I had a lot of spare time on my hand during this quarantine thing and thought I create a Alt. Ruler of Hell’s Halls guide for the community! This is probably the only other chance to achieve the Devil title so here’s to hoping that this guide will be of some use to you all! Best of luck to all those attempting for the Devil title! Continue reading Alt. Ruler of Hell’s Halls Guide by the Marvelous Melvin

Monogatari Collab REM Review and Analysis – March 2021

Introduction

The Monogatari Collab REM makes an exciting debut in North America that features wonderfully powerful cards at the 7 and 8-star rarity. In fact, many of these are powerful leaders and acquiring any of them should help advance almost any Monster Box.

Sadly, only the single 8-star card can be Monster Exchanged for which means players will have to roll heavily to acquire any of the 7-stars at 7 Magic Stones per attempt. This is frustrating as the bottom rarity (6*) is okay, not fantastic while also comprising 77.5% of the rolling pool.

With that being said, the 7/8-star cards are wonderfully powerful and are difficult to replicate elsewhere. As such, I feel that this is still a good event to roll in, especially for more developed Boxes as many of the cards featured here are heavily geared towards clearing end game content.

Choosing your Free Weekly 6-star Godfest Exclusive

Introduction

Today marks the start of a tremendously exciting event as each week players will receive one (two with PAD Pass) 6* Fest Exchangeable Medal to be used on any 6-star Godfest Exclusive (GFE).

These can be found within the Monster Exchange tab and each week the line up of Godfest Exclusives will rotate. Just be aware that you can use these Fest Exchangeable Medals any week and can even do them all in week 4 if that proves to be the ideal for your Monster Box.

As a general blanket statement, the best course of action is to acquire cards you currently do not have as a brand new card may often fill holes in a given Monster Box along with many of the 6-star GFE holding significant value.

With this in mind, I will list the GFE I feel will provide the most value with the presumption that you own absolutely nothing. Remember, a new card will often outpace a duplicate.

Weekly line up

The following image shows the weekly rotation for the featured GFE but it should also be noted that a card will not show up again once their week has passed. This means trading right away for the cards you need but also trying to plan out who you actually want to acquire. Continue reading Choosing your Free Weekly 6-star Godfest Exclusive

Qilin & Scheherazade Dragon Gems in Monster Exchange

Introduction

Qilin & Scheherazade Dragon Gems are now available within the Monster Exchange for 3 Rainbow Event Medals :eventmedal: each. As such, this is a fantastic time to acquire these rare gems as the invade rates are pretty horrible and Rainbow Event Medals are almost too abundant.

With this in mind, it would be advantageous for the majority of players to acquire these Gems in order to make powerful Weapon Assists. Of course, if you are a newer player and lack Rainbow Event Medals, this article may be less applicable, but for those players with countless Rainbow Medals sitting in their box, trading is advantageous.

As such, I will take a look at the possible Weapons that can be made to help players make a more informed decision as to which evolution to pursue.

Video commentary

Save Gems if unsure

Before I go any further, I want to stress that if you do not have a specific use in mind for any evolution, it is best to simply wait and see how your box develops. These Gems do not go bad and I personally only commit resources into a card if I know I will gain value out of them. Continue reading Qilin & Scheherazade Dragon Gems in Monster Exchange

Kamen Rider Collab REM Review and Analysis – January 2021

Introduction

The Kamen Rider Collab returns to North America along with various buffs to existing monsters as well as several new cards.

As a whole, I feel this event is underwhelming from a rolling point of view due to the lower potency of the bottom rarity cards who comprise 77.3% of the rolling pool. While each card does have a Weapon Assist , the bottom rarity ones are often easily replaced by other options which in turn grants them lower usability.

With this in mind, I would be most inclined to do the free rolls and utilize the Monster Exchange system or IAP bundles if truly interested in the higher value cards.

Due to various health issues, this article will be lacking a modest amount of text as typing is incredibly painful and voice-text was not working for me along with having to change my work flow/process within a short period of time.

I have still included pros & cons for each card but the larger text summaries may be missing. With that being said, the corresponding video will be unchanged and will provide further elaboration if the pros & cons are insufficient.

Top Farmable PAD Cards – October 2019

Introduction

Puzzle and Dragons is one of the longest mobile games on the market and has evolved and changed over the years. Initially there was a heavier emphasis on Farmable monsters (those that can be acquired outside the Rare Egg Machine [REM]) but this is somewhat on the decline due to the differing rate of Powercreep between REM and farmable.

With that being said, there are still some invaluable Farmable cards and I wish to highlight those that I feel are the most valuable at this point in time.

Just bear in mind that this list is compromised of my own personal opinion and should be used as a starting point, not as absolute truth. There will be some cards I value or undervalue compared to you and if you feel I have missed someone or grossly miss-evaluated a card, let me know in the comments below.

Video commentary

–video coming soon–

How I classify a Farmable monster

Any card that comes from either a dungeon drop, Monster Points, Pal Egg Machine (PEM), or Monster Exchange I consider a Farmable monster. Essentially, the idea is you do not need to spend Magic Stones or Real Life money to acquire (eg. Collab Orb Skin cards are not Farmable).

These cards may require a higher level of investment to fully max out but it is worth the cost considering Magic Stones are not required.

Overview

I have grouped the various Farmable cards into rough categories. It is possible for some cards to bleed over into other pools so use this as a starting template for where you can use them.

Best Farmable Monsters – October 2019
