PAD Special Event Tournament Strategies

Introduction

The PAD Special Event Ranking Dungeon begins on Monday and features a generous 7% Crown along with 20% receiving a Rainbow Event Medal :eventmedal:.

This event looks quite exciting overall as it features the return of heavily weighted matching bonuses which will force players to adjust their play style. While this is a non-fixed team event, the 7% threshold combined with the potential for several different approaches should make it an enjoyable tournament overall.

The JP cutoffs were as follows:

Crown: 138,208
Rainbow Event Medal: 116,006

13 Million Downloads Ranking Dungeon Strategies

Introduction

In addition to the Fate Collab and Samurai Super Godfest, North America is also being blessed with another Ranking dungeon that can be viewed as unfair if ones does not own the key pieces.

This is because the scoring system has been heavily skewed to favour L  awakenings to the point where players can run into negative time and still secure a Crown (top 3%).

This article will be mostly to showcase how and why Bicolour + 2 turn Haste abuse yields the highest scores.

153,600 run

Currently at 0.4%

127,000 Zeus Verse

Currently at 2% and has so much room for improvement

Haste loops with 7×6 bicolours

The main strategy in this Ranking Dungeon is to use as many bicolour boards as possible in conjunction with 2 Haste to loop your actives together. This leads to every or nearly every floor being a bicolour which is significantly easier to solve. Continue reading 13 Million Downloads Ranking Dungeon Strategies

Courage Ranking Dungeon Score Tracking

What is this?

I plan to pin the current daily NA Ranking Dungeon chart compiled by pandaa for the duration of the Ranking Tournament. Due to the fact that I am usually not awake at Midnight, it may take some time for the new current day to be added.

Generally speaking, NA tends to start significantly higher than JP on non-fixed teams as we are able to see the top strategies right away. This leads to much higher scores early on, but also a faster plateau as players hit their maximum potential. With that being said, NA should be able to score higher on non-fixed teams due to the fact that we have more time to prepare and have the winning strategies already made.

On the other hand, being 2-3 months behind JP provides little benefit for Fixed Teams as the strategy is to usually just puzzle your way through.

Use these charts as a rough guideline for your own scores and possible rewards.

Due to Matching Bonus, NA will have approximately 1.5k more points than JP with the exact same score

Current day NA cutoff for Crown: 132,358
JP Crown: 132,808

Current day NA cutoff for Magic Stone & Courage: 116,454
JP Xiu Min and Magic Stone: 116,700

Lucky 7’s Tournament Guide

Introduction

The Lucky 7’s Tournament is another Ranking Dungeon that will test player’s skill in order to receive valuable rewards. What makes this tournament special is that the top 17% will be able to earn Sleipnir . Sleipnir has wonderful weighted stats along with attribute absorb void. Furthermore, the top 7% of players will also receive a Crown.

In regards to the dungeon itself, it is a fixed team that has No Skyfalls along with a rainbow and leave X number of orbs on the board clause. This can lead to some issues of orb troll but it is possible to sweep several floors without full activation.

This article will outline strategies for improving your score along with combo tips.

Leader skill

Reincarnated Raphael  has an interesting leader skill as it is comprised of two distinct components: rainbow activation and leaving 5 or less orbs on the board along with No Skyfalls.

  • 4/5 colours = 16x ATK
  • 5 or less orbs remaining = 64x ATK
  • Full activation = 1,024x ATK

Due to the scaling component of his Leader Skill, one does not always have to full activate every single floor and it is possible to clear several with only 1 component. Continue reading Lucky 7’s Tournament Guide
