Nyx Level Tournament Strategies

Introduction

The Nyx Level Ranking Tournament not only has a pretty sweet name but is also positioned well as a 5% Crown event that also features Fixed Leaders.

Fixed Leaders are one of the more restrictive types of Tournaments due to the fact that it greatly hinders your sub options. Thankfully, this Ranking Dungeon has various metrics boosted so there are several ways to augment your score.

This article will explain my approach to this Ranking Tournament for obtaining a Crown.

209,104 Score

In Ranking Dungeons, players are scored based on the following:

  • Final Average Combo is worth 5,000 points
  • Each second remaining is worth 500 750 points
  • Hitting 40 Million damage is 10,000 points
  • Each active used to kill a floor (no combo made) is -5,000 points

PAD Harvest Ranking Tournament Strategies

Introduction

The PAD Harvest Ranking Tournament has gone live in North America and gives players a chance to play for lucrative rewards along with a 7% Crown.

As a twist, this Fixed Team will only have to face a one floor but is nearly impossible to kill in a single turn. In fact, killing in two turns is difficult and if players are able to do so, they are almost always going to obtain a Crown.

This article will explain my approach to this Ranking Tournament for clearing it in two turns.

Score breakdown

In Ranking Dungeons, players are scored based on the following:

  • Each Combo is worth 5,000 points
  • Each second remaining is worth 500 points
  • Hitting 40 Million damage is 10,000 points

Pure Ranking Tournament Strategies

Introduction

Starting on Monday, November 19, the North American server will begin their first of three weekly Ranking Dungeons. This is both exciting and potentially stressful as we will be enjoying/suffering through three weeks of Ranking Dungeons. Each of these Ranking Dungeons will give players a Crown for a top 3% finish while everyone in the top 20% will receive the respective Puppeteer.

While the Puppeteers are not truly desired at this point in time, being able to acquire one for free is still meaningful and may come in handy in the future.

The Pure Ranking Dungeon features a No Awakenings clause which will force players to adjust accordingly but has a relatively straightforward path to victory.

I plan to release a strategies article for each Ranking Dungeon before their respective debut.

Xiu Min Ranking Dungeon Overview

Introduction

The Xiu Min Ranking Dungeon is simply a terrible Ranking Dungeon. This is because it is a 10 floor adventure with no Leader Skills. As such, buttons reign supreme along with the need to have highly specific cards. Lacking even just a few key cards will make it significantly harder to crown to the point one has to pray hard to skyfalls to succeed.

In fact, not having at least 10+ combo count average (on 6×5) will place you outside of a crown unless you are able to move blisteringly fast.

This article will give an overview of the generic team template used for this Ranking Dungeon along with my own compositions/modifications to achieve a reasonably high score.

On a side note, this article is being released late due to health issues.

Xiu Min Ranking Dungeon Score Tracking

What is this?

I plan to pin the current daily NA Ranking Dungeon chart compiled by pandaa for the duration of the Ranking Tournament. Due to the fact that I am usually not awake at Midnight, it may take some time for the new current day to be added.

Generally speaking, NA tends to start significantly higher than JP on non-fixed teams as we are able to see the top strategies right away. This leads to much higher scores early on, but also a faster plateau as players hit their maximum potential. With that being said, NA should be able to score higher on non-fixed teams due to the fact that we have more time to prepare and have the winning strategies already made.

On the other hand, being 2-3 months behind JP provides little benefit for Fixed Teams as the strategy is to usually just puzzle your way through.

Use these charts as a rough guideline for your own scores and possible rewards.

Current day NA cutoff for Crown: 131,102
JP Crown: 131,152

Current day NA cutoff for Magic Stone & Xiu Min: 101,566
JP Xiu Min and Magic Stone: 95,022

Corresponding article detailing teams and strategies are coming soon.

Xiang Mei Ranking Dungeon Strategies

Introduction

The Xiang Mei Ranking Dungeon is now live and will last from Thursday October 18-23 while featuring a No Skyfall Fixed Team.

This is not the first time that we have experienced this type of tournament and the main hurdle will be having sufficient combos present across the 5 floors. As such, each combo made is worth a sizable amount of points and is worth pursuing on each match.

Due to the fact that this is a Fixed Team with No Skyfalls, it is a pretty straightforward dungeon as the strategy is to essentially combo and pray for favourable boards.

Top 3% will receive a Crown while the top 20% will be awarded a Rainbow Event Medal :eventmedal: and Xiang Mei .
