Awoken Idunn & Idunna and Ryune Team Building and Discussion Guide

Awoken Iduann&Iduanna (I&I)  I&I paired with Returning-Claw Blue Dragonbound, Ryune Ryune forms a powerful 2x HP / 14.06x ATK / 2.5x RCV tank team that is capable of clearing end game content. Mono-colour tank teams have made a resurgence in popularity because they are capable of absorbing massive attacks and thus not need to bring any form of damage mitigation, able to recover large amount of health due to the 2.5x recovery multiplier, and ability to deal lethal damage by stacking row enhance Water Row awakenings along with built in damage enhancement from I&I . You will not see the spectacularly high numbers every turn that rainbow teams can produce, but instead are able to consciously control your damage as you are active reliant for damage output. Do note that just because your starting multiplier is only 14.06x, you can still burst like other high end leads because you are able to stack a single colour for damage along with specific actives and awakenings.

Lastly, I would like to thank Qrr for his screenshots and insight on their playstyle and mastery. Feel free to add his hypermaxed I&I .

Monster Point Dragons: Analysis and Comparisons

The topic of which Monster Point Dragon to buy is on the forefront of many player’s minds as it is a large investment. Furthermore, as the game progresses and we accumulate more duplicates to sell, new players will be reaching the elusive 300k MP needed to make their first purchase. However, one should not be rash in decimating their monster box as these powerful dragons need the right subs to function properly. If you are having second thoughts or doubts about selling a particular monster, the answer is probably no and you must exercise patience and simply wait. Furthermore, your MP Dragon team does need an investment in levels, skill ups, and pluses to be truly powerful. Lastly, they require 10 million experience to max level, 99 team cost, and have challenging evolution materials.

I have omitted any farmable subs as those can be acquired over time. If you are missing many key subs required to run their team effectively, it may be wise to to delay purchasing as you may be running a sub-par line up otherwise. For a more expansive list that includes farmable monsters, refer HERE.

jjjjjjjjjjjjjjj  Shiva D
SHIVA DRAGON
About  Shiva D is perhaps the king of farming leads as he offers an unconditional 25x multiplier to fire gods. Shiva D can either focus on rows Fire Row or two prong attacks TPA to quickly mow down bosses. However, he somewhat falters in the highest level content due to a less dynamic sub pool, no bind immunity, and a weak active that places heavy emphasis on strong subs. Lastly, Shiva D is an easy way to score in the top 10% (or even 1%) of ranking dungeons.
Pros
  • Fastest farming lead in the game
  • Unconditional 25x ATK multiplier for fire gods
  • 2.25x RCV for fire gods
  • Capable of scoring in the top 10% of ranking tournaments with ease
Cons
  • 2-turn haste active places higher demand on ideal subs
  • Subs should almost always be orb changers as you effectively only have 4 actives
  • Can be bound (which is becoming more of an issue with pre-emptive leader binds)
  • Very REM dependent
Key Subs to Own Yamato Uriel Red Valk Set Ares Ares Ares Antares Ame Sanada Urd

Fire rows Fire Row are critical for large burst and the 3 Ares Ares are not a typo as you can run up to 3 with success.

Uses as a Sub  None

Awoken Archdemon Lucifer, UUevo Baal, and Amon Analysis

Cue the fan boy screams, Awoken Archdemon Lucifer Awoken Archdemon Lucifer  is here. UUevo of both Baal Baal and Amon Amon were also released, but the majority of the attention will be on Awoken Archdemon Lucifer due to his amazing increase in power and viability.

Awoken Archdemon Lucifer Awoken Archdemon Lucifer is the only awoken evolution to be released of the 3. Being an awoken evolution, Awoken Archdemon Lucifer received a revamped active and leader skill along with new and powerful awakenings. Yamatsumi – Farmable Monster Analysis

We have not had a powerful or useful farmable monster since Zaerog Infinity Z8 . Some may argue that Volsung Volsung or Hel Awoken Hel are powerful, but are not special enough to warrant heavy investment. Volsung suffers from being inaccessible due to the challenging descend and an active is not novel nor unique (regardless of how strong it may be). Awoken Hel is capable of clearing high level content due to a unique 49x multiplier, but the playstyle may be too foreign for most players and has a more restrictive sub pool. Furthermore, her viability as a sub is almost non-existent except for over riding poison skyfalls (or funky heart orb generator).

However, the latest descend boss, Yamatsumi Yamatsumi , has power and uses beyond simply selling for 10 Monster Points. The key aspect in making a useful farmable monster is a novel active that has a synergetic role in popular teams. Continue reading Yamatsumi – Farmable Monster Analysis

UUevo Archangel Lucifer and 8.6 Monster Buffs

Happy Lunar New Year to all those that celebrate! The latest update brought an unprecedented amount of new content and most of use were probably busy with the Cauchemar Ranking dungeon or the new coop feature. However, there were also countless monster buffs and a new evolution that got released, but were perhaps overshadowed. I just want to take this opportunity to analyse the new changes and highlight any major improvements you should look out for.

Lucifer Seraph of Corruption, Lucifer is the only new evolution to be released this patch and perhaps marks the end of an era. Lucifer used to reign supreme in the early days of PAD when awakenings and grossly high multipliers did not exist as he could tank gigantic hits along with executing bosses with his active. Fast forward 2+ years and Lucifer has undergone countless active skill reworks in hopes of resurrecting his viability. Currently, it is the strongest it has ever been with the ability to inflict 200x damage Continue reading UUevo Archangel Lucifer and 8.6 Monster Buffs

Saria & Awoken Thor Team Building and Discussion

Introduction

Saria Saria paired with Awoken Thor Thor forms the powerful 2x HP / 14.06x ATK / 2.5x RCV tank team that is capable of clearing end game content. Mono-colour tank teams have made a resurgence in popularity because they are capable of absorbing massive attacks and thus not need to bring any form of damage mitigation, able to recover large amount of health due to the 2.5x recovery multiplier, and able to deal lethal damage by stacking row enhance Light Row awakenings along with built in damage enhancement.

In addition, I would like to thank everyone who contributed their insights as well as screenshots for this guide. Even if your image was not featured, I still took note of your team roster and dungeon clearing capacity. So once again thank you to all my fellow Puzzle and Dragoners.

New GFE Eschamali, Scheat, and Australis Impressions

Another patch of Godfest Exclusives (GFE) is being released and features the highly anticipated Eschamali Eschamali , Scheat Scheat , and Australis Australis . In all honesty, the GFE pantheon is becoming too crowded and making it much harder to acquire the ones you actually want. Godfests are now 2 day affairs and splits the GFE evenly between the 2 days. This can make it challenging to roll for your ideal godfest as the GFE cards you want may not be featured with the regular pantheons you are aiming for. Rambling aside,  Eschamali , Scheat , and Australis are 3 new and powerful additions who actually feel worthy of the GFE title due to their amazing awakenings and heavily powercreeped actives that combine an enhanced skyfall mechanic with a double orb changer (as well as jammer and poison orbs) to their primary colour. Their viability as leads will be slow to start as we do not have access to enough machine cards and this post will mostly be focusing on their sub potential.

Awoken Loki, Ult Belial, Green Sonia, and Blue Sonia Impressions

Awoken Loki Awoken Loki , Bankai Belial , Green Sonia Green Sonia , and Blue Sonia Blue Sonia all recieved new evolutions, but does this increase their viability? All 4 of these monsters have been pushed out of the current meta for some time now, but these evolutions bring considerable power to their arsenal through bonus awakenings and revamped leader skills.

Awoken Loki Awoken Loki is the only monster to recieve an awoken evolution and follows the trend of I&I I&I in gaining 2 skill lock resist Skill Lock Resist and 2 two prong TPA awakenings. In addition, Awoken Loki has a revamped active skill that boosts dark and light attribute monsters by 2x attack for 2 turns along with providing 1 turn of haste. Looking at his role as a sub, Awoken Loki can fit on both dark row Dark row , TPA , or devil based teams; however, he can make a Continue reading Awoken Loki, Ult Belial, Green Sonia, and Blue Sonia Impressions

Volsung Analysis

Friday Afternoon will mark the debut of Sea Dragon King – Legend Plus that awards the coveted boss drop of Giant Arched Sea Dragon King, Volsung Volsung . The dungeon will be rogue style in nature in that all your monsters will start at level 1 and progressively level up as you clear each floor. The amount of experience and thus ending level of your monsters will be determined by their team cost; the lower the cost, the higher their ending level will be. This automatically awards teams that have heavy plus egg investment because the pluses will not be affected reduced monster levels and instead provide their full benefit. But dungeon aside (will cover in a subsequent post when I actually get to play it), I want to take this opportunity in exploring the power Volsung offers along with his viability and whether he is worth the investment. January 21st Ultimate Evolutions (Awoken Astaroth, Nephthys, and Rozuel)

Even after an unprecedented 9 new evolutions a week ago, GungHo is still pumping out more content so kudos to them! Keeping the theme of the previous post, I want to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of these new monsters and if we will see a shift in the meta as a result. Awoken Astaroth Astaroth , Nephthys Nephthys , and Rozuel Rozuel all received significant buffs with their ultimate evolutions along with significantly improved art!
