Pantheon & GFE Tier List – April 4, 2017

Introduction

I have begun to utilize my own tier list for both the featured Pantheon Gods and GFE every Godfest and I felt it would be appropriate to have a master list available at all times. This list will be updated through a new post as buffs/evos are announced or as I do a subsequent Godfest review that has me change the rankings.

It is my hope that this list will become a quick reference source for players who are newer to the game as they can quickly see where their new cards rank/place. Part of my desire to do this is from my starting journey in Fire Emblem Heroes and constantly referencing their respective tier list.

These opinions are my own and take into consideration the card’s value as a leader, sub, inherit, and possibly any niche role they fulfill. In order to rank in the highest tier, the card has to excel in their respective role and cannot feasibly be replaced by anyone else. This can also be thought of as a Best in Slot card and tends to have applications on the top tier teams. If a card has a split evolution path, I simply evaluate the best option possible.

If you are thinking about purchasing a Monster Point card, please refer to my tier list and review HERE.

The best of the best. These cards compromise a best in slot role on top tier teams. They are largely irreplaceable and tend to offer something unique that cannot be easily replicated. This mostly exists to showcase the jump in power between the rest of the cards available. Continue reading Pantheon & GFE Tier List – April 4, 2017

Was Myr a Bad Idea & My Hopes for the next Farmable Monster

Introduction

Myr Miru has been live in NA/EU for many months now and took the PAD meta by storm. Not only was she the most powerful farmable monster released to date (from a leadership perspective), she was also capable of clearing all of the current content with relative ease. Her debut granted her an effective 4x HP / 49x ATK / 4x RCV that was later buffed to 59x ATK from a later JP stream has set the bar incredibly high in what it takes to become an end game leader as she combined both offensive and defensive capabilities.

While Myr was a blessing for a large portion of the Puzzle and Dragons population, she was also met with harsh criticism as she somewhat invalidated many polished/well developed teams overnight. While it is a frustrating experience to see months of hard work swept aside due to giant leaps in Powercreep, we have to remember that two new and unique aspects occurred at the same time: the heart cross meta and an actually viable farmable card.

What I hope to accomplish with this article is both a review of Myr’s history and current situation along with my hopes for farmable cards moving forward.

Best Friend Resets and Raffling off my Tokens

Introduction

This coming Wednesday will bring the return of the Rank 150/250 REM rolls along with Present and Best Friend Resets. This means you must use these benefits before Wednesday (April 5) evening.

For myself, I have not used my Best Friend token on Mantastic and plan to raffle it off through my Twitch Twitch stream and Revlo.

How to participate

To participate, you simply need to have your twitch account watching my stream to passively generate 1 Myracle Stone every 3 minutes (like stamina) and then using 5 Myracle Stones for a raffle ticket.

There is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase and will have until part way through my Tuesday stream when I plan to draw the winners.

You can enter by typing in Twitch Chat:

!ticket X

Where X = the number of tickets you wish to purchase. This can be done repeatedly and as often as you wish.

“Fine” print

I have 3 planned Twitch streams (Saturday 2pm, Monday 6pm, and Tuesday 4pm PST) so there is plenty of time to participate. You do not even have to be present to generate the Myracle Stones as having my window open will credit you accordingly.

You can also purchase tickets offline via this link HERE if you were unable to type in the Twitch chat.

Three winners

There will be three winners in total: 2 for Mantastic and 1 for Fantastic’s Best Friends token.

The first winner will get to go first in which account they wish to be best friended by. However, at least 1 winner for Mantastic’s account has to be present in the Tuesday Stream as it has to be done before the reset. The other two winners can be best friended any time after the reset.

Conclusion

Make sure you use all your Presents and Best Friend tokens along with 150/250 rolls before this Friday.

Looking forward to see you in my Twitch Stream these next few days.

Happy Puzzling!

Springtime Sonnets Godfest Review and Analysis with Updated GFE Tier List

Godfest basics

When making the decision to roll or save your magic stones, you need to determine if the featured pantheons can benefit or complement your teams. Chasing for one specific monster is unwise as you will most likely be disappointed and should ideally have Godfests that overlap with many target cards. Remember all monsters that come out of the REM will qualify for Skill Inheritance so do not be too hasty when selling dupes. For a more detailed team building help, please refer to my Popular Leader’s and their Full Sub List Post which is in the process of being updated. Lastly, to find more information about a specific pantheon or monster, refer to my Master List to better refine your search. If you are considering to purchase any of the Monster Point cards, please refer to my updated Tier List for help and advice.

Introduction

The Springtime Sonnets Godfest descends on Friday and features a unique 4x rates for featured Pantheon monsters. This is a first, but they picked somewhat questionable pantheons along with only featuring one per day. In addition to this, all rolls will come out as +10 to a random stat. Finally, non-featured Godfest Exclusives will not appear from the Rare Egg Machine.

Following the trend of my previous Godfest reviews, I will include a tier list of both the pantheons, GFE, and a list that combines both for each day.

If you wish to read a more thorough analysis of the Three Kingdoms 2 pantheon, please refer to my previous post HERE. A full review of Fujin and Raijin can be found HERE.

Ranking the cards – Pantheons & GFE

As part of my new format for Godfest posts, I will try my best to rank the featured pantheon cards along with GFE and then combine the two to showcase how strong of a day it is to roll.

Despite my best to remain neutral, there is always the potential for bias and you need to be able to examine a card and determine if it can benefit your unique Monster Box. Continue reading Springtime Sonnets Godfest Review and Analysis with Updated GFE Tier List

Where I hope the Meta Shifts & the Decline of Heart Crosses

Introduction

Puzzle and Dragons has gone through numerous shifts in the meta and it finally feels like the heart cross mechanic is slowly dwindling down. This is not to say that leaders like Myr Miru, Ronove Ronove, and Kaede Ult Kaede are weak, but rather that they tend to struggle more in newer/end game content compared to several months ago. The purpose of this article is to examine why/how the heart cross meta rose in power, why it is faltering, and where I hope the next power shift takes us.

Video commentary

—video goes here—

What is a heart cross

A heart cross occurs when you match exactly 5 connected heart orbs in a cross formation. This will trigger both a damage multiplier as well as a damage reduction shield that carries over on a sweep (thus protecting from preemptive strikes).

At the time of its’ release, the heart cross meta was simply too strong. Being able to deal lethal damage AND having insane survivabiltiy somewhat trivialized current content and it took many months for GungHo to release something that was stronger as well as dungeons that could actually counter them. Question time with Mantastic – March 2017

Going to change the format to answering directly here. Not sure what I was thinking making a new post and more work for myself

Introduction

Due to the success with my previous Question Time post, I feel that I should be doing this on a monthly basis to help satisfy my Reader’s curiosity that may not have a Google-able answer.

I may or may not close comments around April time.

How this works

The idea with this post is to allow my readers to ask questions that are not covered by other articles or Google. In order to ask a question, you simply need to leave a comment and provided it is reasonable, I will respond directly to your comment. I have opened up my website to accept comments from anyone, including those without a WordPress account. However, it is advantageous to create an account if you plan to comment long term or simply want a notification that I have replied. Continue reading Question time with Mantastic – March 2017

Challenge Dungeons 37 Solo Clear Videos 8-10

Introduction

With 4x Technicals providing me with unlimited rank up potentials from Machine Hera (I only require 3-4 clears depending on overflow), I was able to experiment around more with this set of Challenge Dungeons and am happy to provide some glorious solo clears with some of my favourite leaders.

Challenge 10 – Sarasvati

This is one of my happier PAD moments as I had to try and come up with a team with enough Skill Boosts to avoid excessive stalling with a glass cannon leader while retaining a certain degree of damage control for floor 1’s resolve. After floor 1, I essentially followed the same strategy for the subsequent floors as my Meridionalis clear.

The glorious damage screenshot:

Challenge 10 – Meridionalis

My first clear of Challenge 10 so it is a bit more rough around the edges by comparison.

Challenge 9 – Dark Metatron

No RCV dungeons are wonderful for Dark Metatron as I am able to always ensure I stay at my maximum damage multiplier. The Spanking on floor 4 was also a nice touch.

Challenge 8 – Sarasvati

Any high multiplier leader without difficult activation requirements will excel in this dungeon as it is only 5 floors. Futhermore, a true button like Famiel Famiel acts as both a board changer and execution for floor 4 and their high defense.

Conclusion

This set of Challenge dungeons heavily favours glass cannon/non-tanky teams as most of the danger is simply having enough damage to one shot every floor.

Let me know what you used to clear this set of dungeons.

Thoughts on Upcoming Springtime Sonnets Event & 4x Technical Dungeon EXP

Introduction

The Springtime Sonnets event comes this Friday and is dramatically different than previous events as there are no Skill Up bonus rates and instead, we are given new bonuses that have never been seen before in NA/EU.

There are quite a few places you can spend your stamina and I wish to highlight the areas where I feel are most important while providing insight on how to best manage the 4x EXP in Technical Dungeons.

Video Commentary

Titania Descended

Titania  is going to be the second farmable monster that can be successfully inherited. This has great applications from both a pseudo SDR protection (28 turn CD when unskilled) along with granting all players access to a Gemstone-style active skill.

Titania is able to provide 1.15x ATK for every Enhanced Wood Orb & +light orb on your team. Thus, her multiplier formula becomes 1 + (0.15*n) where n = the number of those respective awakenings. Thus, 8 orb enhance awakenings will yield a 1 + (0.15*8) = 2.2x multiplier for 1 turn. Continue reading Thoughts on Upcoming Springtime Sonnets Event & 4x Technical Dungeon EXP

Ganesha + Goemon Button Farming Kanetsugu Descended

Introduction

Kanetsugu still remains one of the best dungeons to play for plus eggs outside of Star Den. While the All-Attribute restriction was frustrating in the past, it has become significantly more manageable due to Skill Inheritance and we can now button through quite efficiently. While buttoning is wonderful, buttoning with a Ganesha 3071 leader will dramatically improve your experience gains to help shorten the wait times between rank ups.

Team composition & Strategy

Many of the following cards can be easily interchanged with someone else and you can use Skill Inheritance to fill the gaps. The main requirements are naturally your leaders (Beach Goemon for water coverage), a bind immune defense break on team 1 and Dragon Killer Tsubaki 3260 on team 2. Other than that, you can use different subs that fulfill the same purpose.

This event has Kanetsugu with a No Dupes restriction instead and can make team building significantly easier; however, I will showcase an All-Attributes team for future reference.

Conclusion

Being able to acquire 5-7 plus eggs per run while collaterally benefiting from 42,785 rank experience is quite wonderful. While Rogue Descends still remain a more lucrative dungeon, Kanetsugu is closing the gap with Ganesha while being much easier to clear.
