Which GFE to Choose for your Weekly Medal Exchange – Fagan Rai & Zaerog Core

Introduction

GHNA continues the PAD Appreciation Celebration by giving all players 4 special Medals that can be Monster Exchanged for various 7-star GFE. This is incredibly exciting as 7-star GFE are arguably the most valuable cards in the game as they can be used as leaders, subs, inherits, or Trade Fodder.

Furthermore, GH tends to give these cards the most love with regular buffs and new evolutions that can potentially push them back into the meta spotlight. As such, it is in your best interest to choose the card that is best for you but to also remember that these Medals do not expire.

This means you should not Monster Exchange until you know you have a dedicated use for that respective card as it feels pretty terrible making a hasty trade only to realize you need a different card badly a few weeks down the road.

As a general rule, it is almost always best to acquire a card you have never owned before as it may open up new possibilities as each card is unique.

With this in mind, I will be going over all the notable Medal options each week when they are released.

Choosing your Free Weekly 6-star Godfest Exclusive

Introduction

Today marks the start of a tremendously exciting event as each week players will receive one (two with PAD Pass) 6* Fest Exchangeable Medal to be used on any 6-star Godfest Exclusive (GFE).

These can be found within the Monster Exchange tab and each week the line up of Godfest Exclusives will rotate. Just be aware that you can use these Fest Exchangeable Medals any week and can even do them all in week 4 if that proves to be the ideal for your Monster Box.

As a general blanket statement, the best course of action is to acquire cards you currently do not have as a brand new card may often fill holes in a given Monster Box along with many of the 6-star GFE holding significant value.

With this in mind, I will list the GFE I feel will provide the most value with the presumption that you own absolutely nothing. Remember, a new card will often outpace a duplicate.

The following image shows the weekly rotation for the featured GFE but it should also be noted that a card will not show up again once their week has passed. This means trading right away for the cards you need but also trying to plan out who you actually want to acquire. Continue reading Choosing your Free Weekly 6-star Godfest Exclusive

Don’t Run 4 Choices! Appreciation Medal Gift Dungeon Until Reading

Introduction

Probably my most click-baity title to date but I was unsure of how to better convey the message of no entering the new 4 Choices! Appreciation Medal Gift Dungeon without understanding what it entails.

This is because this special Gift Dungeon will award players with one Appreciation Medal that can be Monster Exchanged for various 7-star Godfest Exclusives. The catch is players can only clear one of these dungeons along with the dungeon names not actually telling you what possible card their respective Appreciation Medal can be Exchanged for. Also, once one has been cleared, there is no undo button and you are stuck with your current choice.

With this in mind, I would like to take this time to elaborate on my own thought process of which Appreciation Medal should be pursued along with what each one can be Monster Exchanged for.

Just be aware that we have 90 days to clear this dungeon which means you have time to sit and ponder this decision. Furthermore, this dungeon also awards a sizable amount of in game Coins so bring a bonus Coin drop leader if possible.

8 Magic Stone Super Witches Godfest Review

Introduction

Today marks the debut a special Super Godfest that features all 9 Great Witches that have been released thus far along with a discounted Magic Stone cost. This leads to an interesting situation as each roll will only cost 8 Magic Stones along with the featured roster containing many useful and powerful Godfest Exclusives along with the entire Samurai 3 Pantheon.

The Samurai 3 Pantheon are one of the newer cards to be released who have received Weapon Assist evolutions in JP which should becoming to North America now/soon. These Weapon Assists are unique and powerful as they are able to provide 80% Resistance against a certain mechanic (Jammer Resist Poison resist Blind Resist) along with a single Skill Boost Skill Boost.

With this in mind, the Samurai 3 Pantheon is highly desirable and I will add their 7.5% total chance into the “good” stuff to roll category for this Super Godfest.

The official GungHo post can be found HERE.

Samurai 3 Weapon Assists

Puzzle and Dragons is an incredibly deep game that requires an exceptional amount of in-game knowledge to efficiently build a team with Weapon Assists playing a vital role in this process. This makes sense as you have 2 leaders, 4 subs, and 6 inherits/Weapons along with a potentially long checklist of mechanics to cover/counter. New 7* GFE: Norza & Aljae Review + Super Godfest Debut

Introduction

The current Super Godfest that has gone live today features the standard 33% GFE rolling rates along with the release of two new 7-star Godfest Exclusives: Norza and Aljae .

Both of these cards are tremendously powerful as they Transform and are new. This may sound a little silly but new cards tend to be stronger compared to older ones and they are often at their peak power upon release.

This is due to how future buffs have the chance to be underwhelming and in order to generate hype/excitement, a newly released card has to be strong.

With this in mind, I wish to take a look at both of these cards in more detail to determine why they are so powerful and to give players a better understanding of they can expect if they do roll in this Super Godfest.

7* GFE Menoa Review + Debut Super Godfest

Introduction

Friday marks the debut of the brand new 7-star Godfest Exclusive (GFE), Menoa during a Super Godfest. New cards are always exciting and in the case of Menoa, she is akin to Ney and Cotton in that all of them have 6 distinct forms which will cover all 5 attributes.

As such, Menoa offers wonderful flexibility and it is important to choose the form that will best help your individual Monster Box.

Unfortunately, her debut Super Godfest is nothing special as it features the standard 1/3 GFE rates along with the regular +297, max level and awakenings. With this in mind, I would be hesitant in spending Magic Stones here as stronger events will eventually come around.

Regardless, this article will highlight each of Menoa’s 6 different forms to give players a better understanding of her potential.

Debut Super Godfest

At this point in time, 10-Magic Stone Super Godfests have become the norm and the routinely features approximately 1/3 chances for pulling any Godfest Exclusive along with miscellaneous other fluff benefits. When this was first introduced, these rolling rates and additional benefits were unparalleled but they have now become the norm/baseline in which we evaluate Super Godfests.

Taking this into consideration, the upcoming Menoa debut Super Godfest is nothing special aside of her being included in the line up. It does not feature higher than average rolling rates, no Seasonal cards, nor the promise of ex Godfest Exclusives, just the standard 1/3 chance for a GFE and 2/3 Pantheon.

As a result, I feel that this Godfest can be easily skipped unless you are a brand new player who has a fledgling Monster Box, but even then, you could probably wait a couple of weeks for another event as Super Godfests cannot get any worse than this 1/3 rate. Spring Forward Super Godfest

Introduction

Today marks arrival of the Spring Forward Super Godfest which features surprisingly appetizing rates as the Pantheon ratio has been greatly reduced to make room for five former 5-star GFE along with Guan Yu and Zhuge Liang.

All of these cards feature new evolutions along with the debut of three 7* GFE: Jiraiya , Grandis , and Yuri (full review can be found HERE).

What makes this Godfest special is that it actually features the former 5-star GFE who have been absent from a Godfest for over a year. As such, it is possible many newer players have never acquired them and their brand new evolutions are quite valuable. Furthermore, the chance for any 6/7* GFE is 37.5% whereas Pantheons are only 41.5% as the ex-GFE with Zhuge Liang and Guan Yu account for 21% of the rolls.

As such, there is a strong likelihood players will be able to roll something of value, especially if they are lacking the former 5* GFE and this event is worth rolling in for most players.

Rolling distribution

With disclosed rolling rates, players are able to make a fully informed decision before gambling away their Magic Stones in any event. For the most part, Super Godfests have a baseline of 1/3 GFE and 2/3 Pantheons and it is mostly a matter of lining up an event that features cards and collateral benefits you want. 2,500 Day Special Super Godfest + 3 New GFE Review

Introduction

Today marks the debut of the special 7-stone Super Godfest that features higher rolling rates, three new 7-star GFE, +297/level 99 on each roll, and a tough decision for players to make.

The official GungHo NA stream announced this special event along with the promise of the GungHo Collab returning soon but we also know Monster Hunter and eventually Heroine will be back at an undetermined time.

All of these events are quite lucrative and will fight hard for your Magic Stones. This is one nice aspect of being 2-3 months behind JP as we are better able to plan out our stone usage for events that provide us with the most value.

Regardless, this article will provide an overview of this Godfest along with the three new GFE cards.

2,500 Super Godfest overview

Most Super Godfests have a 10-stone cost to roll and by reducing it to 7 may make it more appetizing for players. Of course the rates have been lowered but are still higher compared to a regular Super Godfest when you calculate the percentage of a GFE per stone. Dracoblader Godfest + New GFE (Sericha & Kio) Review

Introduction

This coming Friday marks the debut of two new Godfest Exclusives (GFE), Sericha and Kio , along with a regular 5-Magic Stone Godfest. For the most part, this Godfest should be skipped as it will feature lackluster rates due to the non-Super status and mostly exists to bait players into trying to roll the two new cards.

As a whole, the two new Godfest Exclusives are wonderfully powerful and unique but will have significantly less applications for the average player. Their main strength comes from their Weapon Assist forms as they are able to transfer awakenings that were never available before.

This article will be focusing on the strengths of the two new Godfest Exclusives, Sericha and Kio.

Do not roll in the Godfest

Low rates combined with the eventual return of Monster Hunter and YYH Collab means players should be saving their Magic Stones.

New Godfest Exclusives

The two new Godfest Exclusives may seem strange at first due to the mediocre value of their evolved forms and some players being unaware of how powerful the Weapon Assists are. Continue reading Dracoblader Godfest + New GFE (Sericha & Kio) Review

Player’s Choice Godfest December 2018 Review + Commentary

Introduction

Player’s Choice Godfest (PCGF) is a special event where players are allowed to vote on their favourite cards to be featured in a Godfest. Historically speaking, PCGF has become an underwhelming event pre-disclosed rolling rates due to the fact that Godfest Exclusives (GFE) were always voted in and had abysmal rolling rates. With that being said, things have taken a turn for the better with this current format featuring the top 25 GFE and top 25 Pantheon cards with any GFE having a 33% roll rate.

Of course there is a catch as all rolls will cost 10 Magic Stones with GungHo trying to sweeten the deal by having all rolls come out at +297, Max Level, Max Awoken, and their 7-star form (evolved/Awoken if possible). While this is frustrating due to the inflated cost and arguably redundant collateral benefits, this is the way of the future for high-value Godfests.

Based on the JP-server and their events, this format of 33% GFE for 10 Magic Stones will become the norm so we will have to get on board at some point. Thus, the decision of whether or not to roll comes down to your own Monster Box and how well the line up can benefit you.

In addition to presenting the line up with commentary, I will also include a reaction table to the voting for various categories such as most surprising, most over-hyped, and more.

The Player’s Choice Godfest will feature the three new Fest Exclusives, Valkyrie – Ciel , Zeus – Giga , and Athena – Non . In addition, players are able to Monster Exchange a special token for any one of these three cards and this exchange should be done after rolling to avoid the possibility of acquiring dupes. More information can on the new Fest Exclusives can be found on my previous post HERE.

The Player’s Choice Godfest is split into two parts with each one lasting a week. While they technically feature the same monsters, the rolling rates for each part are different with the Highlights having 2x the rolling rates compared to non-Highlights for GFE.
