I play a lot of Arena 3 and try my best to always record my Radar Dragon encounters as there is very little documentation available as very few players are able to successfully clear on a repeated basis. In addition, I also try to stream while making my Arena attempts so you should check out my Twitch page every Monday and Thursday at 6pm PST. Please refer to my Arena 3 Guide I posted earlier for a full breakdown of the fight.

Arguably one of the easiest dragons to face and is the most universally approachable for the various leaders that can clear Arena 3.

August 24th marks the debut of patch 9.3.1 which brings forth a whole host of new changes and i would like to use this post to highlight the ones of most importance. This will not be a full list of every single updates and you still should read the patch notes in full. The Badge System will be detailed in a separate posting due to the sheer size and can be found HERE.
In this update, numerous cards received various buffs that may enhance their viability or usage.
Izanagi
Izanagi was the recipient of a special JP buff that allows him to achieve 110.25x ATK for God types when above 80% HP AND matching 3+ light combos. That is a lot of effort and impractical for everyday usage. In addition, he also gained a SBR awakening and -1 turn on his max cooldown for active. However, all of this is largely irrelvant due to his Awoken form being the better option in almost every scenario as he becomes a 49x ATK / 4x RCV / 75% damage reduction heart-cross leader. Continue reading Thoughts and Summary of the Patch 9.3.1 Updates→
Sarasvati is the one of the newest monster to be released that is capable of achieving 100x ATK. However, what sets her apart from the other high multiplier leads is the ease in which she can hit skyhigh numbers along with being able to stack water rows and a permenant skyfall buff. Sarasvati perfectly fits the term Glass-Cannon as she lacks any defensive multiplier and can have issues stalling along with being quite orb hungry. However, if you can overcome these shortcomings while being choosy with which dungeons you tackle with her, you will be greatly rewarded. If you wish to read a comparison with You Yu, please read HERE.

With patch 9.3.1, we were given the new technical dungeon Legendary Sea of Stars along with the highly anticipated Uuevo Sarasvati . Sarasvati forms an incredibly hard hitting 100x water row leader who is capable of dealing spectacular damage. As such, I wanted to showcase her play style along with how to easily clear Legendary Sea of Stars:
—-
The key to clearing this dungeon is bringing a delay for the bosses, damage control for floor 7, and the ability to burst through the 8.888M defense.
I will be doing a full write up on Sarasvati soon so stay tuned =)
The 9.3.1 came with a whole host of exciting updates, evolutions, quality of life improvements, and the Badge/Quest system. However, I will only be covering the Badge System in this article as I wish to clarify and explain how it works and how it will have an impact on your game play.

This post will always contain the most up to date information as I cannot edit a video XD
Badge System 101
With the advent of coop holding countless advantages such as an augmented health pool, more actives, and half stamina, solo play has begun to feel a little lackluster. Thus, GungHo has introduced a system to help even the scales and reward those who choose to puzzle solo. The Badge system consists of a series of quests to unlock varying rewards:
Team Cost +100 – Increases Max Team Cost by 100
Move time +1 second – Extends Orb move time by 1 second
Mass Attack – Attacks become Mass Attacks
Team RCV +25% – Increases Team RCV by 25%
Team HP +5% – Increases Team HP by 5%
Team ATK +5% – Increases Team ATK by 5%
Skillboost – Team’s skills charged by 1 turn
Leaders Bind immune – Team Leaders become Bind immune
In solo mode, you can choose to use any one of those badges; however, with the exception of +100 team cost, none can be used in multiplayer.
In addition to the badge for your teams, you will also unlock rewards periodically when you complete quests:
These rewards will be sent to your mailbox and will be held there for 365 days. However, it appears you can let them sit in the quest menu indefinitely. Continue reading Badge/Quest System Explained→
In my previous post, I go into detail of my strategies I use to clear Arena 3 along with my lack of luck with acquiring the Radar Dragons. However, that all changed tonight on my Twtich Stream (I go live every Monday and Thursday at 6pm PST) where I finally got Noah Dragon to drop! I guess all it took for the GungHo Gods to smile down upon me was to write a guide to help everyone else!

As a fair warning, there may be some inconsistent issues with sound as I am uploading from my Twitch Stream and there may be copyright issues.

Conclusion
I should stream Arena 3 runs more often! But in all seriousness, this was the first time a Radar Dragon has ever dropped and I am pretty happy about it. Hopefully these videos prove helpful for those venturing into the dangerous waters that are Arena 3.
For those who follow my Twitter, you may have seen my tweets showcasing my various Arena 3 clears and my lack of Radar Dragon drops. However, my consistency in clearing Arena 3 is only improving with each attempt and I wish to share my experience and strategies to help enhance your own chances of success. Very few players have been able to clear Arena 3 and from various Google searches, even fewer discussions/guides. Just bear in mind that a lot of my strategies and advice revolves around using a Myr team in coop as that is the only high end leader I possess. Other favourable leaders with high clear rates include, but not limited to: Ronove , Kaede , Ra Dragon , Xiang Mei , Gremory , and Sherias Roots . Just keep in mind that no team can have 100% clear rate and you have to go in with the mindset that certain Radar Dragons will ruin your run.

Background on Arena 1 & 2
Ultimate Arena (Bipolar Goddess) is designed to be the final test of a player’s skill. The first incarnation, Arena 1, was a hellish 21 floor dungeon that featured a 30 million HP boss at the end along with each floor drawing from a pool of random spawns to cause even more heartache and randomness. It is the randomness that keeps Arena exciting as you will always have a different path leading into the final floors and makes it harder to counter every single mechanic that could appear. Over time, Arena 1 became significantly easier with the advent of Powercreep, Coop, and Skill Inheritance. As such, many players (including myself) have began to use it as a fun way to dump stamina and acquire Py along with using more niche leaders to up the excitement factor. Justice, Demands Retribution! Well maybe Uther said it better, regardless, Star Justice Descended goes live tonight in Tandem with the official GungHo stream. To make this stream extra exciting, they have organized a special coop challenge that pits players against each other for Fantastic rewards.
A tale of Antonio and Mantastic
Tonight, I had the pleasure of being paired with the infamous Antonio and together, we managed to devise a strategy to tackle this challenging dungeon with minimal stress and skill. We do need to take a little gamble of only 80% skill bind resistance as neither of our teams are very invested or well developed. Antonio is severely lacking in skill ups and we had to use careful planning to ensure all of our actives would be ready in time. I still wish he dressed up as Lifeguard Odin.
Team roster
Antonio
Mantastic
Many of the subs were chosen for their skill boosts to help Antonio have his actives ready in time and would otherwise not be included. Key components to successfully run Star Justice include:
25%+ Gravity
Cerebrus Rider to kill Zeal on floor 3
Raphael (or Thanatos ) to survive the 1% execution on the final floor
Strategy
Below is a floor-by-floor breakdown of our active and turn usage to successfully clear Star Justice. We had to pray for the 80% SBR to work. Also, Antonio creates the room to allow us an extra turn.

Myr is the strongest farmable monster released to date and is also considered one of the best leaders in the game. This is mostly due to her unbindability, 75% damage reduction shield, and 49x ATK multiplier. All of these combine beautifully into one Myraculous monster. However, due to a recent tournament held by GungHo that featured various iconic community members, Myr will be receiving a buff thanks to the puzzling skills of Luka. As such, Myr (and Beach Myr ) will be buffed to a 7.7x ATK lead which results in a 59.29x ATK team along with some minor stat improvements.

How does this make me feel
Initial reactions
Aside from the strange heading, this buff comes with somewhat mixed emotions. First off, Myr did not need the buff. In the past, GungHo has done player surveys to determine who should receive the next wave of buffs and time after time, people vote for something that is already strong/in a good place. As such, the buffs they receive are small at best and we lose out on the opportunity to improve someone who is in need of improvements. I was hoping Zaerog Infinity would have received the buff as he was once heralded as the strongest farmable monster and only needs a bit of improvement to see more playtime as a leader or sub. Green Odin was once heralded as a heroic leader in Puzzle and Dragons when dungeons had very few mechanics and his damage reduction leader skill reigned supreme. However, time has not been kind to our favourite set of abs as bosses started to have multi-hit mechanics along with requiring a damage multiplier to kill. However, the past few months have seen numerous buffs to Odin that granted him a damage multiplier on top of his reduction shield. Furthermore, both Odin and Odin Dragon have received a unique upgrade to their active that allows them to fulfill a new niche role.

How valuable is the new Awoken Skill bind clear?
It becomes apparent that both Odin and Odin Dragon are niche at best. Thankfully, with their new awoken skill bind clear, they now fulfill a unqiue, albeit powerful role. Off the top of my head, bosses that disable your awoken skills include, but not limited to: Lakshmi, Folklore, and Linthia. Lakshmi also binds your skills so you cannot do anything about it and Folklore ranges from annoying to semi dangerous in the various dungeons he appears in.
However, Linthia has widely been regarded as a very dangerous encounter who is very unforgiving and quickly able to kill even the most resilient of teams. You are able to delay her, but unless you are using a very long delay, your window of opportunity will be small as the awoken bind is for five turns. Thankfully, either Odin or Odin Dragon can fully remove all the remaining turns of the awakenings bind and would allow your team to deal their full damage immediately, no stalling or dancing required. This will perhaps be more valuable in the Special Descend Rush dungeon or Ultimate Descend Rush where Linthia appears under much more dangerous circumstances.
Furthermore, by being able to remove awoken skill binds may be a foreshadowing of more bosses who possess this dangerous ability. We cannot know what the next wave of mechanics has in store, but it is wise to be prepared ahead of time to try and stay as close to the meta when it arrives.
Conclusion
Green Odin and Odin Dragon have been given a new purpose with their latest buff. By being able to accomplish something on one else can do warrants your time and investment. There may very well be a new wave of monsters who can also achieve the same effect, but it never hurts to be prepared early. However, due to their current niche uses as subs, Green Odin may become a more favourable bind clear assistant or as a means to upgrade an existing active.
