Many New Evolutions are Live! – MP Dragons, SR Pantheons, 6* GFE, & Pixel ex-GFE

Introduction

Late last night, GungHo released new evolutions for numerous older cards as Reincarnated, Super Reincarnated, and Pixel forms. As a whole, it is always a delight to see buffs come to some of our first monsters and for the most part, these are significant upgrades.

This is because many of these cards have been completely reworked and feature the newer awakenings along with the potential to help other cards Transform.

As such, pursuing these evolutions may be beneficial for some players but at the same time, one should be aware of the resource cost, especially for Super Reincarnated cards. With that being said, I am quite exciting for these new forms as they are older cards which means I actually own at least 1 copy of everything but the MP Dragons, Guan Yu, and Kanna.

Regardless, this article will explore the new evolutions for the variuos cards to provide some insight on their new value.

I will be using Miru Bot on discord Discord for the images that show each cards in greater detail as it presents all the information while saving me a significant amounts of time.

Monster Point Dragons

The 5 original Monster Point Dragons were at one point highly desirable cards to own. This was in part due to their relatively high price tag (Monster Points were quite scarce originally) and the fact that they were brand new. Thoughts on Player’s Choice Godfest Results

Introduction

6 Star Godfest Exclusive Player’s Choice Godfest results have been officially announced and will take place this Friday starting at 12am PST. All rolls will feature +44 to a random stat and only the voted GFE will be featured (which means no Sonias/Metatrons etc.). This post will cover my thoughts and opinions of the voted cards along with who I felt should have made it in, but failed to make an appearance.

Video commentary

—video goes here—

The results

Unlike previous Player’s Choice Godfests, GungHo did not have a running tally of the leader board and many votes probably went to waste on the top winners.

Player’s Choice Godfest December 2016
1-5 Ult Kaede Gremory Dark Kali 3202 A Liu Bei
6-10 Eschamali 3236 Awoken DQXQ Kanna 3068
11-15 Wukong bankai Sherias Roots Awoken Pandora Isis Ronove
16-20 3101 d-d-akechi 2997 rodin Bankai Andro
21-25 Rozuel Ra Awoken Oorochi Scheat 2991

For the most part, the voting makes sense with the featured cards as the majority of them have a place in the current (or near future) meta. However, what is most shocking is the fact that 11 six-star Godfest Exclusives were voted in.

Implications of 11 six-star GFE

From the data collected by me in the previous December PCGF, you have a disparagingly low chance to roll a six-star GFE.

PCGF record 2

Player’s Choice Godfests should be used to acquire the best pantheon cards available and by having 44% of the featured monsters being nearly unobtainable, we have essentially defeated the purpose of a PCGF. Six-star GFE are best acquired during a 5x GFE event or the special 10-stone REM (if it returns). I understand that those events do run the risk of other GFE appearing, but if we want 11 six stars, you are quite likely to roll them anyway. Six-star GFE will greatly lower the chances of rolling a featured monster and will most certainly add to the disappointment of higher silver egg rolls.

Voting in 11 six-stars is an unhealthy indication for the state of Puzzle and Dragons. Too many teams desperately require these elusive cards to function and without duplicates of the same six-star, their team is significantly weaker. It is not a bad thing to have six-star GFE as a top tier leader, but when you require nearly a full team to be optimal, then we have a problem. However, GungHo appears to be continuing down the path of six-star supremacy as the new evolutions for the 5 MP Dragons does not advance the current rate of Powercreep for leaders, only brings Ra Dragon 3265 on-par or marginally better than the best heart-cross leaders. In addition, the best Ra Dragon team consists of 3/4 six-stars. Continue reading Thoughts on Player’s Choice Godfest Results

220k Official Facebook Likes Godfest: Indian 1, Three Kingdoms, Japanese 1, & Norse Review and Analysis

Godfest basics

When making the decision to roll or save your magic stones, you need to determine if the featured pantheons can benefit or compliment your teams. Chasing for one specific monster is unwise as you will most likely be disappointed and should ideally have Godfests that overlap with many target cards. Remember all monsters that come out of the REM will qualify for Skill Inheritance so do not be too hasty when selling dupes. For a more detailed team building help, please refer to my full list Popular Leader’s and their Full Sub List Post. Lastly, to find more information about a specific pantheon or monster, refer to my Master List to better refine your search. Introduction

220k Facebook Likes may be a strange milestone to be celebrating, but at least it is a round number and is most likely to coincide with the 3-year anniversary for EU. Regardless, GungHo is featuring four different Pantheons along with certain GFE at a 4x rate. Unfortunately, neither day is truly outstanding as many of the cards are starting to fall behind due to Powercreep.

Day 1:

The Indian 1 Pantheon finally has all their Awoken evolutions; however, many of them are starting to fall out of the meta due to the speed of powercreep. Furthermore, Shiva Shiva, Lakshmi Awoken Lakshimi, and Parvati Awoken Parv only come into their full power with their awoken forms and will be quite weak beforehand. However, Japan has just announced new Reincarnated evolutions for those three and it may help give them an extra boost in power to help make them relevant again. The main drawback of the Indian 1 is the delay between their uses on pull and acquiring their awoken evolution.

The Three Kingdoms have become one of the most desirable pantheons to own as each card brings a phenomenal amount of power and utility to their respective teams. Whether as leaders or superstar subs, you will want to own at least a few of these mighty warriors and are even respectable before their awoken evolutions so you will have value early on. The current prize to be had is Awoken Liu Bei A Liu Bei as he trivializes countless content in Coop and many players will be tempted to roll just for him.

Overall, Day 1 is the stronger of the two line ups in terms of pantheons featured.

Gremory & Ronove Overview and Sample Team Building

Introduction

The Island Luau Godfest comes in tandem with the release of two new Godfest Exclusives: Gremory Gremory and Ronove Ronove. Both these leaders bring a new twist to the heart-cross patterns and are capable of clearing end game content. The purpose of this post is to quickly summarize and theory craft teams for these two new top tier leaders.

Just keep in mind that the heart cross shield/additional multiplier carries over on a floor sweep. This means it will protect you from preemptive strikes but also retains the additional multiplier if there is no preemptive of any kind.

  • 1,000 weighted stats
  • 144x ATK with heart cross and active skill
  • Some damage control with either 4x, 36x, or 144x ATK
  • Very easy 144x ATK
  • Can effectively stack dark rows Dark row
  • Leaders are bind immune and can clear binds
  • Devils and balance cards have a large pool to draw from
  • Modest uses as a sub and one of the few bind clearing dark cards
  • 56.75% damage reduction effectively means over 2x HP/RCV
  • Very pretty with her hood on

Introduction

The Island Luau Godfest comes right before the PAD Island REM and presents players with a tough decision of where to spend their hard earned magic stones. To further entice players to roll this godfest, GungHo has combined a 4x GFE event alongside the release of Gremory Gremory and Ronove Ronove. Where you decide to spend your stones depends on your monster box and goals along with how desirable PAD Island is for you.

The main drawback of the Indian 1 is the delay between their uses on pull and acquiring their awoken evolution.
