Efficient Cosmic Trinity Farming with Mantastic and Fantastic

Introduction

Cosmic Trinity is one of the hardest dungeons in the game as it features 6 floors of randomly spawned Descend Bosses that gain increasingly higher stats. Furthermore, if you are able to survive the randomness of each floor, you will be greeted by one of three incredibly challenging bosses on floor 7.

It is both the randomness, massive damage output, and health of the each floor that makes Cosmic Trinity challenging. However, if you have well invested teams with the appropriate Killers and inherits, you will be able to overcome the majority of floors and even cheese your way through the final floor.

However, even the most prepared teams can face certain death if the wrong spawns do appear so it can be challenging to have a perfect clear rate.

With all that being said, I have devised an efficient set up for my two account that enables me to easily bypass all 3 final boss encounters with Cthulhu  and Nyarlathotep  being killed in one or two turns.

Fine print

This is not the only efficient set up that can be created but is the best I can put together given my two Monster Boxes. I still require some stalling on the first floor, but given Dark Metatron’s durability, it is rarely a problem and is even easier when I play with just myself. New Split Evolutions Review/Era of Follow Up Attack – August 16, 2017

Introduction

The Norns comprise three older Godfest Exclusives: Urd , Skuld , and Verdandi  who all possess powerful board changers but have slowly fallen out of favour due to the inability to successfully use on current meta teams. However, with the release of their new split evolutions, they gain dramatic improvements to their capabilities as a sub due to the addition of 7 Combo 45 and Follow Up Attack  awakenings.

These two awakenings are some of the most powerful ones currently available as it can dramatically shift your playstyle and strategies when playing through challenging content. Furthermore, both 7 Combo and Follow Up Attack help comprise what I like to call the “Holy Trinity” of powerful awakenings with Guard Break  being the third.

In addition, all the Sonias  received their own split evolutions along with Denebola  and Zuoh .

This article will examine the Norns new found viability as well as providing advice on how to maximize their potential. In addition, I will touch upon the other new split evolutions to better aid you in your decision making of which one to pursue.

The Holy Trinity

The Holy Trinity of awakenings (45  ) are the three most powerful traits a monster can have. However, due to their relatively young age, they are not commonly seen across many cards. Monster Point Card Flowchart and Buying Advice – August 13, 2017

Introduction

GungHo has been amazingly generous with the free daily Monster Points and many players are now able to make their very first purchase. However, Powercreep has shifted the landscape of what constitutes a formidable leader and you may actually be better off saving your Monster Points for new cards to be released if none of the current (or soon to be released) ones bring significant value to your box.

This article will be mostly focused around the flowchart I have prepared. The content is based on recommendations that hold true today and things may change if new cards/awakenings/meta shifts occur.

Introduction

I spent the past (BC long) weekend with my family and did not have access to a desktop to write a review for the June July August Collab. As such, this will mostly be a quick summary of the cards and what to expect when rolling.

This post will be significantly more brief compared to other reviews due to time constraints.

Last year, the main focus of these cards was to help bolster your Myr Miru teams. However, Myr has been steadily falling out of favour, but thankfully, Yog-Sothoth  is the new premier light leader who can benefit from many of the featured Monsters.

Introduction

Last night, GungHo NA/EU did a surprise release of numerous new evolutions for existing cards that now present players who own the cards to make some tough decisions as to which path they pursue.

For the most part, these new evolutions follow a different path compared to the existing ones and you must choose either option A or B. For the most part, most of these paths are relatively balanced and it is up to you to decide whether or nor the new form is worth pursuing.

This article will examine the pros and cons of the new forms compared to the existing evolutions to better help you decide which route to pursue.

Foreword on evolutions

Puzzle and Dragons possesses one of the more complex evolution trees for video games as some monsters have convoluted paths.

Generally speaking, a Reincarnated evolution will be the strongest form a card can assume, but it must go through an Awoken evolution beforehand. Reincarnated and Awoken forms have different base skills compared to their starting evolution and is often stronger by comparison but may also have no natural skill up available. Godfest basics

When making the decision to roll or save your magic stones, you need to determine if the featured pantheons can benefit or complement your teams. Chasing for one specific monster is unwise as you will most likely be disappointed and should ideally have Godfests that overlap with many target cards. Remember all monsters that come out of the REM will qualify for Skill Inheritance so do not be too hasty when selling dupes. For a more detailed team building help, please refer to my Popular Leader’s and their Full Sub List Post which is in the process of being updated. Lastly, to find more information about a specific pantheon or monster, refer to my Master List to better refine your search. If you are considering to purchase any of the Monster Point cards, please refer to my updated Tier List for help and advice.

Introduction

The Flight of the Dragon Lords Godfest features the first ever 6x GFE rates for NA/EU along with +50 to a random stat to all rolls. While 6x is a new milestone, it comes with no featured pantheons along with a questionable 2x rates carnival.

However, GungHo will also be tempting players with two brand new Godfest Exclusives: Cthugha  and the all mighty Yog-Sothoth .

While Cthugha offers an interesting kit, the real prize and focus will be on Yog-Sothoth who is capable of leading one of the strongest teams in the game that has a low skill cap, modest orb requirements, and outrageous damage potential combined with a defensive multiplier.

Ranking the cards – Pantheons & GFE

These rankings I assign cards are my own and take into consideration the card’s value as a leader, sub, inherit, and possibly any niche role they fulfill. In order to rank in the highest tier, the card has to excel in their respective role and cannot feasibly be replaced by anyone else. This can also be thought of as a Best in Slot card and tends to have applications on the top tier teams.

Yog-Sothoth Review and Analysis

Introduction

Yog-Sothoth  is one of the most highly anticipated Godfest Exclusives to be released as they are without a doubt overpowering. They easily push the envelope of Powercreep as they have an incredibly easy to activate leader skill along with somewhat outrageous damage output.

While leaders like Anubis 3385 and Kushinadahime  have the potential to achieve amazing damage output, they are somewhat gatekeeped behind significant player skill and having ideal boards. As such, they are sometimes out of reach for the average player whereas Yog-Sothoth will be simple to play by comparison.

This article will examine his strengths and weaknesses along with his uses/applications and some team building guidelines.

One Shot Challenge Rewards: Whaledor, Raguel, and Drahklist Analysis

Introduction

This current set of One Shot Challenge (OSC) is one the easier side compared to previous incarnations. This is due to both Powercreep of available cards (think Monster Hunter and pairing everything with Diablos ) and easier spawns overall. As such, many players may be completing their first OSC and will now be the proud owner of one of three new cards.

Each of these cards has tremendous value and you will be able to acquire all 3 over time through future OSC. Furthermore, there will be limited time Guerrilla dungeons that will allow you to skill them up and farm as many as you are humanly able to.

This article will highlight how all three cards can be used and why they are worth pursuing.

New Content Updates

Version 11.2 Update, Ragnarok Dragon Evo, and if Arena 2 is Worth Running

Introduction

Version 11.2 is now live in North America and Europe and brings with it some very minor changes and small additions. I had almost completed my write up for the new Norn evolutions (  ) but it looks like that will have to wait for another day.

Regardless, Version 11.2 provides a revamp of Arena 2 with the introduction of new Latent Awakening Tamadras, minor quality of life improvements, two new Awoken Skills, and a new evolution for Ragnarok Dragon .

This article will touch upon all the new changes introduced along with determining the viability of the changed Arena 2.

Latent awakenings

Latent awakenings are a way to add further customization to your favourite monsters as they can significantly alter the way they function.

Each Monster comes with 5 default slots with the (expensive) opportunity to add a 6th slot. While most Latent awakenings occupy one slot, some will require 2 spaces, but tend to have stronger benefits to compensate. Cosmic Trinity – Why Dark Athena and Ra Dragon are Faltering and the Idea of Support Teams

Introduction

Cosmic Trinity offers the most challenging encounters that are currently available but are gatekeeped behind 3-Player Coop. Now I understand that not everyone likes the idea of trusting random strangers, but at least your own personal progression is less hindered by comparison to 2-Player mode.

With all that being said, new teams and leaders have emerged as more ideal/meta while cards that were previously at the top have begun to falter and decline.

This article will examine what makes a powerful team/leader for Cosmic Trinity, why Dark Athena and Ra Dragon are faltering as well as things you can do to improve your own chances of success barring perfect/ideal teams.

In addition, I will also be touching upon the idea of utilizing a support team if you are lacking top tier teams for Cosmic Trinity.

What is Cosmic Trinity?

Cosmic Trinity is one of the new 3P dungeons that falls under the Complete Annihilation difficulty.  It features various Descend bosses that gain increasingly higher stats up until the point where they can have 50+ million HP and deal essentially lethal amounts of damage to the average team. Furthermore, they appear in a random fashion which makes it challenging to actually plan accordingly. Finally, the final floor is guarded by a brand new encounter that is quite terrifying, but has various ways to cheese it.
