Current Super Godfest is Nothing Special (Jan 31 – Feb 2, 2021)

Introduction

Super Godfests are special 10-Stone events where players will have at least a 1/3 or 33% chance of acquiring any Godfest Exclusive. For the sake of value, I will always lump in the Samurai 3 series into the pool of “good” (aka GFE) pool as their Weapon Assists are some of the best.

As such, the current Super Godfest running from January 31 – February 2 is entirely average and is nearly 10% lower chances for acquiring a GFE or Samurai 3 card compared to the recent Player’s Choice Godfest.

With this in mind, I would be most inclined to skip this event as it is nothing special and we will have essentially a similar event featuring a tiny bit above 1/3 GFE rates on a regular basis.

On a different note, I miss the days of when GHNA named their Super Godfests.

Rolling pool

A Super Godfest will always feature at least 1/3 chance for any Godfest Exclusive for 10 Magic Stones per roll and this should be used as a baseline to determine the value of a given event. Continue reading Current Super Godfest is Nothing Special (Jan 31 – Feb 2, 2021)

Kamen Rider Collab REM Review and Analysis – January 2021

Introduction

The Kamen Rider Collab returns to North America along with various buffs to existing monsters as well as several new cards.

As a whole, I feel this event is underwhelming from a rolling point of view due to the lower potency of the bottom rarity cards who comprise 77.3% of the rolling pool. While each card does have a Weapon Assist , the bottom rarity ones are often easily replaced by other options which in turn grants them lower usability.

With this in mind, I would be most inclined to do the free rolls and utilize the Monster Exchange system or IAP bundles if truly interested in the higher value cards.

Due to various health issues, this article will be lacking a modest amount of text as typing is incredibly painful and voice-text was not working for me along with having to change my work flow/process within a short period of time.

I have still included pros & cons for each card but the larger text summaries may be missing. With that being said, the corresponding video will be unchanged and will provide further elaboration if the pros & cons are insufficient.

Ruler of Hell’s Halls Strategies & Planning for Seina

Introduction

My wrists have been hurting for the past few weeks which makes typing painful and nearly impossible. Thankfully, I made most of this already for myself and made it prettier for the purposes of publishing.

I am trying to minimize how much I type so large parts of this will be done via video but should hopefully give you insight into how I approach World of Carnage 2 / Ruler of Hell’s Hall with my Seina team.

Video commentary

Includes PADX walkthrough & breakdown of my strategies

Devil Title clear

General Strategies

  • Stalling F1-8 must have 2 spawns to prevent their ATK buff
  • Use Seina active post-Transform for easy stalling
    • Match 1 Water, 1 Fire, 1 Heart combo
  • Always use Seina last when using board/orb changers
  • VDP pretty much kills any early spawn
  • Super Resolve means you have to kill a spawn twice
    • Row Fire Row can kill most and is less orb hungry compared to VDP

Question Time with Mantastic – January 2021

Introduction

The general gist of Question Time posts are for players to ask various PAD-related questions that do not have a simple/Google-able answer or related article on my website. I do play other games and have often found myself having specific/unique questions about it but have no where to go and can imagine this may hold true for some of my readers.

With that being said, there will be some restrictions on the types of questions I will be answering.

If planning on commenting on a regular basis, it is advantageous to create a WordPress account to both receive notifications as well as giving me a point of reference as to who I am responding to.

Do’s and Don’t

download For the most part, almost any question will be answered, even some non-invasive Off-Topic ones; however, it is best to ask questions that require explanation/why/my personal opinion. The following examples are Fantastic types of questions to ask:

  • Of these options, what is the best Yusuke team I can make for Arena 3?
  • What direction do you think GungHo will take with the 4x HP leads?
  • Can Heart Cross teams be revived and if so, how?

x The following types of questions will not be answered by me either because it has a simple Google-able answer or shows a lack of effort on the reader’s part:

  • Anything that Google/Padx can answer
  • A link to your entire Monster Box and saying “make me a team”

Conclusion

I hope my readers use this opportunity to ask questions that will hopefully improve their overall game play and progression.

Happy Puzzling!

Mystics & Spectres REM Review and Analysis – January 2021

Introduction

The Mystics and Spectres REM is a brand new series that will have many similarities to the Sin Dragons & Key Heroes event we had a couple of months ago.

This is because both events feature GungHo-owned cards that will be available within the Rare Egg Machine. This means that non-event cards will appear but at the same time, this is worth the risk as the new cards featured are quite strong.

On the downside, there will be no Monster Exchange available for the three top rarity cards who all have to be rolled or purchased via an IAP bundle. As such, if you are wanting any of the higher rarity cards, you will have to commit to numerous rolls.

Regardless of this, this article will outline the pros and cons for each card to give players a better understanding of what to expect in the new Mystics & Spectres Rare Egg Machine.

Super Player’s Choice Godfest – Voting Advice & Overview

Introduction

Player’s Choice Godfests (PCGF) are one of the more exciting events to come to PAD as it allows players to vote for their favourite cards with the most popular ones appearing in a special REM.

This in turn should produce a strong rolling roster as the more desirable cards will be featured. Furthermore, all players will be able to vote once per category with the top voted cards being featured at a later date.

As a whole, I like how GungHo has now created three separate voting categories as it ensures a more even distribution of rare/valuable cards but it is not without fault as 40 Pantheon cards can be voted in along with the 7-star GFE sharing their pool with the Samurai 3 Pantheon.

Regardless, this article will highlight my thoughts for voting within the PCGF along with listing various possible cards to vote for. Just bear in mind that my advice has may not always be 100% applicable to your situation and you should be voting for what will benefit you the most.

Video commentary

How to vote

Voting within the PCGF has become significantly easier as it can be completely done within the app and no third party sites are involved.

In order to cast your vote, you will need to go to [Others] menu in the bottom right corner and then select The Super Player’s Choice Godfest tab. Continue reading Super Player’s Choice Godfest – Voting Advice & Overview

Version 18.5.2 Update – Paimon, DKali, Ameno Buffs, New Latent Skills, & More

Introduction

Maintenance has finally ended and with it comes numerous new changes including buffs to existing cards, new Latent skills, and buffs to P&D Pass, and more.

As a whole, new stuff is always exciting along with the future release of Ruler of Hell’s Halls-No Dupes after Kindle can successfully be updated to this version.

With that being said, I would like to go over all of the new stuff that has been released/changed since last night.

Farm a Servant, Assassin

Introduction

The Fate Collab is now in full swing and while Rare Egg Machine portion is lackluster (full Review can be found HERE), the Farmable Servant, Assassin  is an incredibly valuable card and should be acquired by most players.

The reason for this is that he functions as both a double Row generator along with possessing a special Button nuke.

Servant, Assassin can be acquired through either 5 Rainbow Event Medals :eventmedal: or by heavily grinding the Fate event dungeon. Either way, one can find Servant, Assassin in the Monster Exchange Event tab for the duration of the Fate event.

Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] Collab Review and Analysis – December 2020

Introduction

The Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] Collab returns to North America and includes several new monsters and evolutions along with various buffs.

Sadly, this is one of the worst events to date as there is relatively little value across all rarities with one of the best cards featured not being available via the Monster Exchange system. As such, I feel that this is an event players should heavily consider skipping as the odds of actually rolling something of value is quite low.

Regardless of this, this article will outline the pros and cons for each card to give players a better understanding of what to expect in the Fate Collab Rare Egg Machine.
