My Crowning Achievement?

Dtron 102k

So I said I was going to wait till the weekend before retrying the ranking dungeon in my previous results POST, but patience is a virtue I may or may not posses. I spent some time theory crafting my run and where was the optimal place to use my actives. I also realized I could utilize dark TPA TPA on every floor except Neptune (8) and Athena (10) as a means to conserve dark orbs. Of course I had to move VERY fast while avoiding heart matches except for the first floor and once between floor 2-6.

  • Durga Durga on floor 1 and 10
  • Claire Dark Valk on floor 3 and 8
  • Lilith Lilith on floor 4 for the PreDRAs Fire PreDRA
  • Persephone Persephone on floor 10 for guaranteed 2 rows to hit damage cap

For the first blind attack, I revealed 2/3 of the board and made a TPA match, then revealed the remaining portion on the next floor. Floor 9 I revealed the entire board so I could see where my 5 combos and 2 rows could be placed.

I am quite happy with this result as there are most likely very few non-Shiva Dragon Shiva D teams in the top 1%. This should safely secure a top 1% placement as the cut off for 1% was ~98.5k (at time of posting) which is over 4,000 points lower than my score.

Hopefully this ranking dungeon allows you to hit a new personal best.

Athena Ranking Tournament Top 10% Scores

GungHo has kicked things into overdrive by overlapping Athena Tournament, Bleach Collab, and 10x Plus Eggs in Descends. Even with 480 natural stamina every day, it may feel overwhelming as there is so much to play! With that being said, I only spent a few runs in Athena Tournament to ensure my top 10% placement. Perhaps there will be some movement as more people participate, but I am confident my place will be secured. For full reading of my initial strategies in a previous posting, please click HERE.

Due to no restrictions for Athena, I decided to mirror my success I had in the Izanami Tournament by using Dark Metatron dtron for Mantastic. It only took a few attempts to safely secure my top 10% and I am on the verge of 1%.

[Video] Plus Egg Farming with 30 Stamina Tengu Descended on 1.5x Drops

With the advent of 1.5x drop rates influencing coin dungeons overlapping 10x plus egg drop rates in descends, we are given a new (and highly lucrative) opportunity to farm plus eggs. The 30 stamina Tengu Descended from the coin dungeon tab is now one of the more viable places to farm plus eggs. In fact, it is the most efficient place to farm in terms of stamina/plus egg (7.03 stamina/+ or 4.27 pluses per completed run) and only loses value due to granting very low rank experience.

Descend Floors Average +’s Stamina/+ Exp/Stamina
 Tengu Desc Tengu 30 Sta.  5 4.27 (3-5)  7.03  212

Full breakdown of all the descends can be found HERE. However, Tengu is incredibly easy to clear for players of all skill and progression levels along with having the opportunity to be push-button farmed. Clearing the dungeon faster does not yield more pluses, it simply lessens the mental capacity required and eases your sanity. Below is a video of my pseudo push-button team:

Shiva
Ra Lu Bu rodin Yamato Shiva

My team has just enough skill boosts to allow me to use Red Odin rodin on turn 2 as the auto kill from Awoken Ra Ra and Lu Bu Lu Bu do not reduce the cooldowns of my other team members. Yamato Yamato is purely used for the 3 skill boost Skill Boost awakenings. Your team can differ and you do not need to push button every floor, it just simply saves a couple of seconds here and there.

Full mathematical breakdown of Tengu’s efficacy was compiled by Michael Yano, Jeffrey Lee and An Do:

Best of luck in your plus egg endeavours.

10x Plus Egg Descend Chart and Strategies

With another round of 10x descends coming up, it is worth planning ahead on which dungeons to repeatedly farm. You should have 100% success rate in clearing the descend as any failed run will set you back and make even the most efficient dungeon unideal. Everyone has different goals in terms of number of plus eggs they wish to farm along with the number of stones used to refill stamina and the chart prepared below should help you plan out your next event. Please read my Plus Egg Fusing Guide for more information on how to quickly form +297s with minimal gold usage and thinking.

The chart assumes the highest level of difficulty and on regular 1x drop rates. Number of pluses increase with enhanced drop rates. This also applies to coin dungeons and these become the best to play with 1.5x or 2x drop rate as you are more likely to hit the higher number of pluses per run.

**Do note that the 30 stamina of Tengu from coin dungeons on 1.5x drop rates is amazingly efficient and has a follow up post HERE to better discuss it.**

Athena Ranking Dungeon Strategies and Planning

Athena Tournament is the next instalment in the ranking dungeon series and offers players a chance to farm 10,000 MP and various coloured py. The goal of these tournaments is to test player’s skill by imposing a scoring system to determine your percentile ranking.

In these ranking dungeons, we are scored based on 3 criteria:

  1. Average combos made: 5,000 points per combo
  2. Time Remaining: 500 points per second remaining
  3. Maximum damage: up to 10,000 points if you hit 40 million.

Dungeon summary

  • 10 floors favour speed oriented teams (aka less combos)
  • With 10 floors you can use certain actives multiple times
  • No restrictions opens up team compositions that were not allowed before (aka Dark Metatron dtron )
  • Wood based teams have a significantly easier time on floor 5 & 8
  • Fire based teams may wish to bring a single wood sub for floor 5 & 8
  • Dark teams have a favourable place to pad their damage on floor 9 & 10
  • Floor 4 requires poison or true damage to bypass the Fire PreDRA . However, with 10 floors, our overall scores will be lower (due to more time elapsed) and true damage -5,000 penalty will be more detrimental.
    • (Active skill CD) – (3) = Skill Boost awakenings to be ready in time. Eg. 10 turn CD requires 7 Skill Boost awakenings

Bleach Collab REM Review and Analysis

I have made an updated post for Bleach and can be found HERE.

Get your laundry machine ready for all those wet pants. Also, do not forget the Bleach to get all those pesky stains out because the Bleach Collab is finally coming to Puzzle and Dragons North America! A fair warning to all those thinking of rolling is the rarest (aka gold eggs) are incredibly rare to roll and you must prepare for the worst emotionally and financially. However, do keep in mind that all these monsters qualify for Skill Inheritance so do not be too hasty in selling without thinking first. There are some amazing cards to be had such as Rukia Rukai Kuchiki and Ichigo Ichigo , but they will also be the most elusive. Best of luck to those rolling and enjoy my full Collab REM analysis. March 31st & April 1st Godfest Breakdown and Analysis

If we continue to receive very early warnings about upcoming godfests from PuzzledragonX, it may be feasible to do my own breakdown of the featured pantheons. I guess that if I start doing these regularly, I would already have the templates already made. Regardless, I am going to try something new with these posts and let me know what you think in the comments below.

For a more detailed team building help, refer to my full list HERE.

Day 1:

Day 1 features some of the most coveted monsters in Puzzle and Dragons. The Chinese Celestial have always been a powerhouse pantheon and has undergone numerous buffs and evolutions to stay relevant. Perhaps this is because all 5 are pretty girls or because they are one of the oldest sets of gods, but regardless, they are fantastic to own and make some of the best subs for their respective mono-colour teams. On the other hand, the Sengoku series are much newer and do not posses an ultimate evolution. This is beneficial as their significant power will dramatically increase with augmented stats and awakenings.

Leilan has legs to die for along with being a mono red powerhouse with a healthy mixture of offensive and utility based awakenings. She can also be effectively combo-ed with other orb changers to create fire heavy boards. Unfortunately, the 2 top fire teams, Awoken Shiva Shiva and Shiva Dragon Shiva D seldom use  Awoken Leilan due to no two prong attack TPA awakenings or god typing. Hopefully with a release of more Fire Row based teams she will see a resurgence in popularity. Lastly, Awoken Leilan can form a system on Ilm Ilm teams.

As a leader, Awoken Leilan forms a 12.25x ATK team with 51% damage reduction from Fire, Wood, and Light enemies. Has situational uses, but is usually used as a sub.

I have a borderline irrational love for Karin and probably stems from my favourite colour being blue, dragons, and a pretty girl all rolled into amazing one monster. Fanboying aside, Awoken Karin is most at home on the various mono-blue powerhouse leads such as Blue Sonia Blue Sonia and Awoken I&I I&I / Ryune Ryune . Karin’s active, while powerful, is somewhat overshadowed by other water full board changers as she does not generate hearts and most likely needs to be used in conjunction with another orb changer to ensure sufficient water rows.

As a leader, Awoken Karin forms a 12.25x ATK team with 51% damage reduction from Water, Wood, and Dark enemies. Has situational uses, but she is mostly used as a sub.

Meimei was once the primary wood board changer and she still reigns strong today. Her awakenings are more powerful than Verdandi Verd and Sylvie Sylvie and only loses ground due to not manufacturing heart orbs. MeiMei can be used to great success on Sylvie Sylvie / Freyja Awoken Freyja , Awoken Bastet Bastet , and Spica Spica teams. Furthermore, multiple MeiMei ‘s can be used to form a “Meimei System” with Zuoh Ult Zuoh as a lead.

As a leader, MeiMei forms a 12.25x ATK team with 51% damage reduction from Wood, Light, and Dark enemies. Has situational uses, but she is mostly used as a sub.

Sakuya has gone through a roller coaster ride of ups and downs over the course of her PAD career. She is still currently one of the strongest leaders (and now subs) in her awoken form as she can scale up to 100x damage at 10 combos. The main pitfalls of using Sakuya are a high skill cap, damage inconsistency/orb troll (as it is a scaling and high skill multiplier), and dependency on Light Kalis Kali or other board refreshers. It is still possible to play Sakuya effectively without board changers, but it is becoming harder in today’s meta. Lastly, without any HP/RCV multiplier, it may be challenging to recover after attacks or when stalling. All that negativity aside, Sakuya is still an amazing leader and has been my go to team for over 2 years and have used her to clear numerous Challenge 10s.

Sakuya ‘s uses as a sub are now wide and varied as she combines both a gravity and 3-turn bind clear while being bind immune. Furthermore, Sakuya essentially outclasses Light Metatron Metatron in nearly every aspect as a sub.

Awoken Haku was once a critical dark sub to own due to her utility and active. Thankfully, other options have opened up, but should not diminish her value. Furthermore, her exceptionally high base recovery dramatically increases your healing potential on many dark teams. Even without any Dark row awakenings, Haku can still warrant a slot on your Awoken Archdemon Lucifer team due to her utility and explosive combo potential with Akechi Akechi . Haku can also find a home on Yomi Dragon Yomi Dragon , Awoken Yomi Awoken Yomi , and Awoken Anubis Awoken Anubis teams. Lastly, her D/D evolution DD Haku has the devil typing and can be successfully used on Awoken Pandora Awoken Pandora teams.

As a leader, Haku forms a 12.25x ATK team with 51% damage reduction from Fire, Water, and Dark enemies. Has situational uses, but is usually used as a sub.

[Video] Challenge Dungeons 23, Level 10 Zero Stone and Commentary

Challenge Dungeons 23 features 7×6 boards and was one of the easier challenges to date. We now have access to amazingly powerful monsters, an unlimited stalling potential second floor (through Parvati), and a delay-able final boss for Challenge 10.

I cleared Ch10 with both my accounts and was able to record a Fantastic clear with truly exciting gameplay….because I omitted the 99 turns I waited out on the second floor. Both accounts used all their actives to burst the first floor as you can endlessly stall on the second floor.

[Video] Star Treasure Thieves’ Den Hype

Introduction

With the anticipated release of the revamped Star Vault, Star Treasure Thieves’ Den (Star Den), we now have another means to acquire the coveted plus eggs. For 50 stamina, you are able to acquire a a guaranteed 10 plus eggs with minimal difficulty. This makes Star Den the most efficient place to farm plus eggs from both a time and stamina efficacy point of view.

Video Clear

Such buttons, much skill, very Plus Eggs

Damage Hurdles

The first four floors can have a maximum of 117,133 HP and is able to be swept with minimal combos or even a push button team. Do note that Goemon’s active Goemon cannot one shot a blue ogre so avoid using his active on those floors or bring a back up damage dealer such as Bone Fish, Fire/Wood, or Water/Wood Ogres. Furthermore, Red Odin rodin requires 2343 ATK to safely nuke the Green Ogres down. This requires either:

  • +40 ATK pluses
  • 5 ATK Imp ATK & 19 ATK pluses

The final boss floor has up to 1.9 million HP. The main benefit of running Star Den over Goemon, Zeus, or Valkyrie descended is receiving 1 extra plus per run and has the potential to be push-button farmed. Even if you do not have a team that can button farm Star Den, you can easily sweep the floors with a Two-Prong TPA match and remaining actives for the final boss.

Plus Egg Comparison

Do note that all these values are for single player mode. Simply, double the rates for Stamina/+ and Exp/Stamina.

Full post on my 10x chart can be found HERE. As you can see, Star Den is the most lucrative place to farm plus eggs and mainly lags behind in rank exp per stamina spent.

Conclusion

Even though some players may quickly mow through the dungeon, they still receive the same pluses per completion. They simply wish to acquire as many possible within their hourly limit and will repeatedly stone to do so. With the advent of stamina overflow, refilling stamina is a viable method and you can calculate your plus eggs per magic stone used. For example, if you have 150 stamina, you can expect 60 pluses per stone (in coop). This translates into 300 (60*5) pluses per REM roll. Just keep this in mind when deciding if it is worthwhile to stone for stamina.

Best of luck in your plus egg journeys.
