100% Farmable Push-Button Mechdragon Team

Introduction

Many players dream of owning a push-button team as a means to quickly clear dungeons to acquire plus eggs. However, most of the staple subs are hard to acquire Rare Egg Machine monsters such as Red Odin rodin, Awoken Ra Ra, and more Red Odins. If you are as lucky as I am and own neither, you may feel distraught or left out. But have no fear, Mantastic is here! With a fully farmable push button team that can blaze through Wailing Wind in Mechdragon’s Massive Fortress via coop.

Team in action

The run takes around 70-75 seconds to complete and is essentially brainless. Just don’t mess up the button order and please enter the Wailing Wind level as your fire damage is twice as effective.

What you need to acquire

The key to creating this Fantastic team is a fully evolved Goemon Goemon, 3 fully awoken Flame Armour Ogres Flame Armour Ogre, a sub to generate sufficient skill boosts, and one player needs a sub that deals true damage that is above 3,000 damage.

Team 1
Goemon Flame Armour Ogre Flame Armour Ogre Flame Armour Ogre Bane Goemon

Team 2
Goemon Flame Armour Ogre Flame Armour Ogre Flame Armour Ogre (Skill Boost sub) Goemon

None of your team requires plus eggs and I only encourage you to have your leaders max awoken and level to ensure sufficient damage on the full-fire board swap.

Where to easily acquire Flame Armour Ogres?

Flame Armour Ogres can be easily acquired via the Legend difficulty of Monday Dungeon and have a 50% chance to drop. If you are farming for ranks, please save these ogres. You need to acquire 3 as your base and 6 additional to max awaken by feeding 2 to each base. Skill ups do not matter.

How many skill boost Skill Boost awakenings do I need?

The answer depends on how skilled up your Goemons are. Your 2 leaders plus 6 Ogres provide 14 skill boosts and a max skilled Goemon can achieve a 15-turn cooldown (unskilled is 20 turns). However, the second Goemon can have one less skill up as you need to match orbs on floor 5 and thus providing a single turn of active charging.

Sub flexibility

You do not have to use Bane Bane like I did and can easily opt for a Red Odin, Awoken Ra, or even a 4th Flame Armour Ogre Flame Armour Ogre to deal enough damage to kill floor 9. The key is the 3 Flame Armour Ogres, sufficient skill boosts, and an extra damage source for floor 9. I encourage you to bring someone like Yamato Bankai Yamato or any other fire orb maker if something goes wrong.

Potential speed bumps

If you are unfortunate to encounter the Chaser invade, you will not be able to button your way through it and you must match fire orbs and is the main reason why I encourage you to bring someone such as Yamato to generate fire orbs to handle this annoying threat. Furthermore, the green Mystic Knights have just enough HP to survive the Flame Armour Ogre’s attacks and you must match some fire orbs to kill it. Just make sure the correct person has the turn on floor 9.

Conclusion

Using a push button team is fun and exciting to play as you will be able to quickly farm plus eggs. Being able to clear dungeons quickly does not improve efficacy, you still need to spend the same amount of stamina.

Let me know how you plan to quickly farm plus eggs in the comments below.

Awoken DQXQ VS Arena

Introduction

Awoken DQXQ Awoken DQXQ was released yesterday in North America and it has felt like Christmas ever since. I initially started playing difficult content with Sakuya Sakuya in all her various forms but was forced to make a soft transition to mono colour teams that were row oriented (Lucifer Awoken Archdemon Lucifer and Blue Sonia Blue Sonia). These teams offered more survivability, burst damage potential, and consistency. Thus, with the release of Awoken DQXQ, I was overjoyed to combine the two elements of rainbow and rows into two pretty girls. The purpose of this post is to showcase how I have been clearing Arena (10+ times as of this posting) in coop with my two accounts, Mom’s account, and a friend. Being able to tackle Arena via multiplayer alleviates some of the weaknesses DQXQ faces, but she is still capable of soloing with the right set up. If you have not already, I strongly encourage you to read my Awoken DQXQ Analysis and Team Building Guide to gain a better understanding of how to compose and utilise your team.

Arena 1 Coop Video

The following video was a relatively straightforward clear of Arena 1 with only some problematic floors and minor errors. Good job me and me.

Outside of poor comboing towards the end, the video should give you a relatively good idea of the playstyle and where I choose to stall and use actives. I always prioritise using my DQXQ’s actives first as they recharge twice as fast in coop.

Awoken DQXQ Overview

Awoken DQXQ is a hybrid rainbow/row leader that requires any 4/6 elements to trigger her base 16x multiplier. However, you are able to match multiple connected Light OR Water orbs to bolster your damage further.

# connected Light or Water orbs  3-4 5 6 7+
 Multiplier 16x 36x 64x 100x

I cannot stress how important it is to remember that connected water orbs are able to trigger your 100x multiplier as you can match a Light TPA and will most likely sweep any floor. Your connected orbs can be in any shape/pattern and to achieve 100x, you require some funky manipulations as it is not a tidy horizontal 6-row match. Continue reading Awoken DQXQ VS Arena

[Video] Coop Button PreDRA Infestation

With the introduction of everything coop patch, we are now able to farm the limited time dungeons with our friends (or in my case, myself) for half the stamina. There are probably countless variations for a button team for PreDRA Infestation, but here is a relatively easy to form and mostly farmable team. The other subs are just for skill boosts and outside of the 3 poisons (or true damage), the Lucifer needs to have a skill inherited to counteract the 2 turn skill delay from the boss. Please excuse my lack of recording skills and pointless audio.

As always, it is more efficient to run the easier difficulty as it awards more Monster Points per stamina spent.

Thank You Skill Inheritance

Introduction

I have cleared Arena 1 numerous times, but there is always an element of risk as I am using a non-ideal team. However, with the introduction of Skill Inheritance, my clear rates and consistency have significantly improved. This is because I am able to inherit a valuable skill on to both Lucifers Awoken Archdemon Lucifer to give their actives more value and allows for access to a wider range of subs. Furthermore, I am able to have access to a board changer that can be combo-ed with one of my other orb changers to produce a 2/3 dark board. The following 90 second video showcases how Skill Inheritance helps trivialise the Kali at the end of Arena by utilising actives I would normally not have access to.

Inheritance Setup

  • Awoken Lucifer 1 Awoken Archdemon Lucifer inherits Satsuki Baby Satsuki
  • Claire Dark Valk inherits Awoken Karin Awoken Karin
  • Awoken Lucifer 2 Awoken Archdemon Lucifer inherits Awoken Freyja Awoken Freyja

This allows me to remove Awoken Loki Awoken Loki from my team and replace him with Claire who has superior RCV and allows for easier stalling and the option of utilizing a 5 turn orb changer to hasten my runs. However, the key feature is being able to access a 2/3 dark board via Karin and Pandora Awoken Pandora as I lack both Akechi Akechi and Zuoh Ult Zuoh. This allows me to easily burst any floor and I have consistently one shot the Light Kali since.

Conclusion

Skill Inheritance is Fantastic for players who are lacking key subs and still wish to clear high end content. It also allows me to be more creative with team building and active management as I need to carefully plan for the inherited active. Also, thanks Momtastic for your Penta Lucifer with the damage enhance skill.

[Video] Scarlet System Online

With the hype surrounding Xiang Mei Xiang Mei (who I probably will not get due to a lack of MP and subs) and all this talk about “systems,” I thought I would share my own system team and accomplishment. This is a little twist on a regular Scarlet Scarlet icon system as both my accounts have a fully operational team and it does work in coop!

A system team consists of cards who have a 7 or less cooldown on their active and a haste component. This allows your team to use 3 actives per turn and the haste mechanic will allow you to use the original 3 again on your third turn. Now, it is hard to make a pure system team where every monster fulfils those components, but you can get close to allow for greater active cycling. A couple of popular system teams in existence are Cloud Cloud (rare pull from FF Collab) and Scarlet Scarlet icon who is farmable (albeit from a very challenging dungeon).

Scarlet

The Scarlet System can only do modest level content, but it allows for completely mindless clears as all you have to do is connect 8-10 of the 12 spawned orbs every turn. It’s mostly for fun and the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes with 50 successful skill ups per account. I also farmed about 100k Monster Points throughout this entire ordeal which does put me a bit closer to a second 300k MP Monster.

The following video showcases how I farmed for my system with a Blue Sonia Blue Sonia team:

Blue Sonia BL Hermes BL Hermes Blodin Mori Motanari Blue Sonia
Bankai Andro Ryune Bane I&I

Playing with myself always feels amazing and wonderfully satisfying. Hope you have a Fantastic Friday.

[Video] Challenge 10 “Solo” Blonia Clear

Question of the day: Does it count as a solo clear if you are the only person playing? Even if it is your two accounts? Regardless, here is another video of me playing with myself in this Challenge 10 series:

Everyone is +297 and max skilled. One rainbow resist per team.Blue Sonia Bankai Andro Ryune BL Hermes I&I Blue Sonia
BL Hermes Awoken Oorochi Blodin Mori Motanari

This dungeon was almost made for Blue Sonia as her entire team consists of Dragon / Physical monsters and made it a lot easier to clear as my entire team was benefiting from a 50% increase to all stats. One of the most important aspects of Blue Sonia teams is the ability to heal large amounts of health due to a 6.25x RCV multiplier. This allows for easy stalling and was vital for my strategy as I needed to recharge Orochi for the final boss. Even though my matching wasn’t flawless, I was still able to scrape out a victory and only had to do one attempt.

I find that it is best to wait out the awakening bind on Linthia before using your delay as you can then have an uninterrupted 5 turns to kill her without having to deal with any execution mechanics. In addition, you should try to keep your heart orbs away from the outside columns as she has a high chance to remove them.

I also cleared challenge 9 with the same team, but sadly forgot to record.

Ch9 clear

What did you use to clear this series of challenge dungeons?

Fantastic Rank 500 Box Tour

Today has been an exceptionally Fantastic day as I hit rank 500 on my second account as well as Mantastic unlocking 300 max stamina shortly after. To mark this grand occasion, I did a video recording Fantastic’s box that showcases the teams I run along with my plus egg distribution and next pad goals. I am fortunate that I have two high end accounts as I always have a partner ready to go for coop and I could rank up exceptionally fast if I was motivated due to the half stamina costs to enter.

Also, go me on finishing a Scarlet Scarlet icon system =D It does not really have any uses aside from novelty and I will record some game play in a future video so you can see what hours of time farming can produce. If you want to learn more about how I have been farming Scarlet, please check out my post and video dedicated to her HERE.

I have been (im)patiently saving stones for a very long time now and dearly hope a 4x GFE comes soon as I need more things to work on. For more reading as to why I am waiting for 4x GFE over PCGF, please read this article HERE.

I will include various screenshots in case you do not wish to sit through the video and simply want the highlight reel: Continue reading Fantastic Rank 500 Box Tour

[Video] 10x Descend Monster Points Analysis and Scarlet – Mythical Plus

10x Monster Points can now be generated from descend boss drops during special events. That means what used to be 10 Monster Points now becomes 100. This may seem insignificant considering that an MP Dragon costs 300,000; but remember, every raindrop raises the sea. And that raindrop becomes a thunderstorm when repeatedly farming the same dungeon over and over again. For Mantastic and Fantastic, it means Scarlet Descended – Mythical Plus as I want to have a Scarlet System (about 55% complete on Mantastic) and it has an amazingly high Monster Point drop rate as you can have up to 802 per run if you sell all the drops. This is quite fantastic considering it only costs 25 stamina and awards 46-49k rank experience per clear. I also wish to examine the viability of farming Monster Points from descends (vs PreDRA Infestation) as well as comparing 100 MP vs +1 selling.

Scarlet is a very challenging dungeon to beat, let alone consistently farm and I wish to share how I have been doing so by doing coop with my second account:

Scarlet team

Blue Sonia BL Hermes BL Hermes Blodin Mori Motanari Blue Sonia
Bankai Andro Ryune Bane I&I

Playing with myself has never felt so good nor satisfying and it took a few trial runs in the Legend Plus difficulty to determine the needed HP to survive DQ Hera’s preemptive without a shielding sub. Continue reading [Video] 10x Descend Monster Points Analysis and Scarlet – Mythical Plus

[Video] U&Y vs Scarlet Descended Multiplayer with Mantastic and Fantastic

I decided to take my video making skills through another descend and ended up with what I hope is an entertaining and informative video of how I am farming for my Scarlet Scarlet Icon System. Audio is okay to listen to and the narration should be helpful. I also want to say that I am my own worst enemy and blame Mantastic for a near death experience at the end. Dungeon for reference.

[Video] Plus Egg Farming with 30 Stamina Tengu Descended on 1.5x Drops

With the advent of 1.5x drop rates influencing coin dungeons overlapping 10x plus egg drop rates in descends, we are given a new (and highly lucrative) opportunity to farm plus eggs. The 30 stamina Tengu Descended from the coin dungeon tab is now one of the more viable places to farm plus eggs. In fact, it is the most efficient place to farm in terms of stamina/plus egg (7.03 stamina/+ or 4.27 pluses per completed run) and only loses value due to granting very low rank experience.

Descend Floors Average +’s Stamina/+ Exp/Stamina
 Tengu Desc Tengu 30 Sta.  5 4.27 (3-5)  7.03  212

Full breakdown of all the descends can be found HERE. However, Tengu is incredibly easy to clear for players of all skill and progression levels along with having the opportunity to be push-button farmed. Clearing the dungeon faster does not yield more pluses, it simply lessens the mental capacity required and eases your sanity. Below is a video of my pseudo push-button team:

Shiva
Ra Lu Bu rodin Yamato Shiva

My team has just enough skill boosts to allow me to use Red Odin rodin on turn 2 as the auto kill from Awoken Ra Ra and Lu Bu Lu Bu do not reduce the cooldowns of my other team members. Yamato Yamato is purely used for the 3 skill boost Skill Boost awakenings. Your team can differ and you do not need to push button every floor, it just simply saves a couple of seconds here and there.

Full mathematical breakdown of Tengu’s efficacy was compiled by Michael Yano, Jeffrey Lee and An Do:

Best of luck in your plus egg endeavours.
