[Video] +297 Hera Dungeon Strategies and Guide

Introduction

To mark the celebration of the third year anniversary, GungHo will be granting players the opportunity to play the +297 Hera “Gift” Dungeon. The word Gift is misleading as it is a challenging dungeon to clear and Gift is only used to indicate that it is a one-time clear and has to be done in solo mode.

Mantastic & Fantastic’s video clears

Mantastic’s Sarasvati 3069

A much riskier team due to the orb hungry nature of Sarasvati. There is a certian amount of praying required to either skyfall a water combo or have enough present to conserve actives. However, it was a pleasure to play with and the damage on Minerva was Nuts Nut 😉

Fantastic’s Awoken DQXQ Awoken DQXQ

DQXQ was a lot safer by comparison due to the less orb hungry nature of her leader skill. I could use the 16x ATK and TPA down the easy floors and only had to form rows starting at floor 5. It also helps that both leaders have a more impactful active skill.

Team used

Will update when I play this dungeon. Myr Miru is the default/easy choice but may try and use a different leader to showcase a more novel strategy.

JP clears

As this is a one-time clear dungeon, I decided to showcase various JP clears with leaders I do not own to provide another layer of inspiration for theory crafting viable teams. You can use the search term as well:  神王妃 絶地獄級

Light Myr Miru

Reco’s clear using Myr. I also speculate she will be the easiest to use for this dungeon.

Ace Best Cat Cross Bastet

Myr: Arena 3 & Radar Dragon Strategies

Introduction

For those who follow my Twitter, you may have seen my tweets showcasing my various Arena 3 clears and my lack of Radar Dragon drops. However, my consistency in clearing Arena 3 is only improving with each attempt and I wish to share my experience and strategies to help enhance your own chances of success. Very few players have been able to clear Arena 3 and from various Google searches, even fewer discussions/guides. Just bear in mind that a lot of my strategies and advice revolves around using a Myr Miru team in coop as that is the only high end leader I possess. Other favourable leaders with high clear rates include, but not limited to: Ronove Ronove, Kaede Ult Kaede, Ra Dragon Ra Dragon, Xiang Mei Xiang Mei, Gremory Gremory, and Sherias Roots Sherias Roots. Just keep in mind that no team can have 100% clear rate and you have to go in with the mindset that certain Radar Dragons will ruin your run.

Video commentary

Background on Arena 1 & 2

Ultimate Arena (Bipolar Goddess) is designed to be the final test of a player’s skill. The first incarnation, Arena 1, was a hellish 21 floor dungeon that featured a 30 million HP boss at the end along with each floor drawing from a pool of random spawns to cause even more heartache and randomness. It is the randomness that keeps Arena exciting as you will always have a different path leading into the final floors and makes it harder to counter every single mechanic that could appear. Over time, Arena 1 became significantly easier with the advent of Powercreep, Coop, and Skill Inheritance. As such, many players (including myself) have began to use it as a fun way to dump stamina and acquire Py Shynpy along with using more niche leaders to up the excitement factor. Thoughts on the Myr Buffs

Introduction

Myr Miru is the strongest farmable monster released to date and is also considered one of the best leaders in the game. This is mostly due to her unbindability, 75% damage reduction shield, and 49x ATK multiplier. All of these combine beautifully into one Myraculous monster. However, due to a recent tournament held by GungHo that featured various iconic community members, Myr will be receiving a buff thanks to the puzzling skills of Luka. As such, Myr (and Beach Myr Beach Myr) will be buffed to a 7.7x ATK lead which results in a 59.29x ATK team along with some minor stat improvements.

Video commentary

How does this make me feel

Initial reactions

Aside from the strange heading, this buff comes with somewhat mixed emotions. First off, Myr did not need the buff. In the past, GungHo has done player surveys to determine who should receive the next wave of buffs and time after time, people vote for something that is already strong/in a good place. As such, the buffs they receive are small at best and we lose out on the opportunity to improve someone who is in need of improvements. I was hoping Zaerog Infinity Z8 would have received the buff as he was once heralded as the strongest farmable monster and only needs a bit of improvement to see more playtime as a leader or sub.  Continue reading Thoughts on the Myr Buffs

Beach Myr – Worth the 500,000 Monster Points? Review and Analysis

Introduction

GH Boss: “We need to increase revenue, think of an idea!”

GH Peon: “Recolour Myr,  make her prettier, less Lolli, and 500K MP?”

GH Boss: “What a Myraculous idea! 5 magic stone pay raise, go roll yourself a new silver egg!”

Perhaps this played out differently than my imagination, but it is akin to the trend of making an Eschamali in every colour. It has already been well established that Light Myr Miru is one of the top tier leads and is capable of clearing any dungeon Puzzle and Dragons has to offer (you can see my Arena 3 clear/video HERE). 49x ATK may not sound that impressive; however, when paired with a 75% damage reduction shield and the ability to stack row enhances, you are capable of delivering lethal damage while benefiting from 4x HP/RCV when forming a heart cross.

Unfortuantely, Beach Myr Beach Myr is an 8-star Collab roll or 500,000 Monster Points and is a colour swap of the 100% farmable Light Myr. With such a steep price tag for what essentially amounts to something you can acquire through a lot of hard work and dedication, is it really worth the cost? If you wish to read more about Light Myr, feel free to check out my discussion HERE. If you wish to read my full PAD Island review, please check out my next article HERE.

[Video] Myr VS Arena 3, Floors 17+

Introduction

Following up on my first Arena 3 clear this morning, I decided to record my subsequent playthrough and boy was it Myraculous. Myr Miru is my current favourite team to play and I feel a strong attachment in my heart, although that could be the heart crosses talking. Regardless, Myr has 49x ATK and a 75% damage reduction shield when matching a heart cross and can stack either TPA TPA or Light Rows Light Row while heavily benefiting from numerous enhanced light orb +light orb awakenings. Sidenote, have you ever seen a more Mantastic face before?

Video

This had to be one of the most challenging end floor spawns I have ever encountered and it was quite Myracle I am still alive to tell the tale. Despite the long playtime, it is actually quite exciting to watch and I hope it is both entertaining as well as informative:

Noteworthy Screenshots

I guess a too long, didn’t watch version. They kind of spoil the excitement of the video. Continue reading [Video] Myr VS Arena 3, Floors 17+

A Puzzle and Dragons Myracle

Introduction

After my dissapointing 5x GFE Godfest, I was left a little sad by my lack of REM luck. Thankfully, GungHo had introduced Myr Miru to North America and she has proven to be one of the strongest leaders in the game while being completely farmable. If you wish to read more about team building, please check out my article HERE. If you want some sample clears of how to farm her without MP Dragons, please click HERE. I had already cleared Arena 2 with DQXQ Awoken DQXQ but was still at the mercy to RNG for certain floor spawns (Ilsix being the most noteworthy) and had maybe a 50% clear rate. However, after using Myr a few times (and actually practicing the heart-cross mechanics), I was able to essentially farm Arena 2 and the only deaths would occur form human error. As such, I decided to test my luck and fingering skills in Arena 3 where something truly Myraculous occurred.

Team and explanation

When deciding which subs to bring for any challenging encounter, you want to maximize their value by striking a balance between active synergy, awakenings, and base stats. Through Skill Inheritance, you are able to further customize your team to your liking by bringing ideal bodies who can then inherit a stronger active. Of course, you have to use what you are given and it can make for some interesting team compositions.

For my latent choices, the Recovery RCV Latent and HP Imp HP have 4x the value on Myr teams due to the 75% damage reduction shield.

[Videos] Myr VS Zaerog Infinity

About

A Mantastic and Fantastic clear of Zaerog Infinity using my brand new Myr Miru who I painfully skilled up over the weekend. If you wish to watch my various clears using Awoken DQXQ Awoken DQXQ, Blue Sonia Blue Sonia, and Dark Metatron dtron, please check out my previous post HERE. For more about team building Myr, please read my full analysis HERE.

 Video

The most amazing part of the heart-cross leaders is the ability to have your damage multiplier carry over on a sweep if there is no preemptive. This allows you to have a fantastic multiplier and easily clear trash floors along with speeding up your clears.

I still need more practice forming heart crosses; however, I am liking her playstyle and look forward to clearing more content with Myr.

Happy Puzzling!

Miru – The Most Anticipated Farmable Monster Review and Analysis

Introduction

Dermatologists hate her! Farmable monster discovers the secret formula for the most Fantastic anti-aging cream that has even the most GungHo players all riled up with excitement. But seriously, Miru Miru is perhaps the first monster who actually gets younger with each evolution. How is this possible? Perhaps the secret is consuming the essence of Nordis Nordis and the angelic spirit of Elia Elia along with a whole host of other challenging to acquire evolution materials. Regardless, Miru is the most anticipated farmable monster since the inception of Zaerog Infinity Z8 as she is capable of forming a top tier team with amazing flexibility that can clear the highest tier of content PAD has to offer.

If you are looking for strategies for clearing her Descends, please refer to my other post HERE for my videos of my DQXQ Awoken DQXQ, Blue Sonia Blue Sonia, and Dark Metaron dtron clears.

Popular Leaders and Their Full Sub List with Inheritance Options

I am in the process of updating this list over the next week or two and work from the top down so somethings will still be outdated/missing in the meantime.

Introduction

Due to the ever changing dynamic of team building through Skill Inheritance, team building has either become more flexible or more rigid. It becomes more flexible due to the fact that you can use almost any card as a sub and fill in the blanks via inheritance. However, this does eventually lead to a more rigid team building experience as you will end up using similar powerful bases and supplementing with appropriate assists.

As such, I have been trying to determine how I can have this list reflect both aspects of team building. Listing subs that fulfill specific roles is helpful, but may become misleading once you begin to acquire more cards to play around with. Thus, I will try my best to list higher tier subs along with other options and include a massive inheritance chart at the beginning you can use to fill in the gaps.

When deciding which leader and team you want to invest in, you ideally want to find a balance between a deep and diverse sub pool combined with a love for their playstyle that suits your personality and matching skills. Even leaders who are not popular in the meta are capable of clearing high end content provided you have a synergetic team and passion for their gameplay.

Furthermore, you should try to balance the subs/actives you bring to ensure a healthy mixture of quick orb changers, damage enhancing, and defensive utility. When trying to determine if you require a bind clearing sub, you must take into account how dangerous the bind is and whether you can stall through it or avoid it. If you are able to avoid the bind by bursting through the boss before they are able to attack, it may be best to do so as bind clearing subs tend to bring little to the party aside from their active. Lastly, leaders with higher multipliers are more reliant on consistency and survivability over offensive actives as the sheer strength of their leader skill can sweep most floors.

If you wish to read about how I approach tackling a dungeon and subsequently how I build my team, please read my previous article HERE.

Popular leaders sorted by category

When trying to find a particular leader in this post, it is best to use the ctrl + F (search) feature. Otherwise, the leaders are colour sorted in no particular order. Due to the sheer size of this ever growing list, I may have trimmed out lesser leaders and simply put their names alongside other cards that are similar to them (eg. placing other rainbow leaders alongside Ra if similar).

I am not including the button farming coop teams.

Skill Inheritance

Skill Inheritance has become a vital part of the Puzzle and Dragons meta as it allows you to utilize desirable active skills from cards that would not be ideal to run as subs. This also enables you to better customize your team to your liking and address any dangerous mechanic the dungeon can throw at you. I encourage you to read my revamped Skill Inheritance Guide to better understand all the changes that have been made and how to better utilize this mechanic.

Below is for the most part, a full overview of the various inheritance options you can use sorted by categories. For full board changers, you can utilize off-colour inherits provided they generate your desired element. However, if possible, you should try to use same attribute inherit and base to take advantage of the stat transfer feature.
